  1. Epic sound, but @Starise hope you do not mind me saying it sounds just a tad MIDI, perhaps nudge here and a nudge there just to move the timing around a bit.
  2. @Paul Bush Parallel or New York Compression is a technique where you mix a compressed signal with an uncompressed signal. Both of the supplied Pro Channel compressors have the facility the last knob on the bottom right of them that has the word Wet/Dry under it. As you turn this up it introduces more of the dry, uncompressed signal back into the mix. With this technique you can compress the signal quite hard to give it thickness and more body, then when you ad the uncompressed signal back in you are able to balance the lightness and air of the original signal but keep a good solid sound.
  3. You honour me with that statement thank you sir. Thank you too you are most kind
  4. I thought you might have paid a visit to Norfolk when I first saw the title. As ever the shine and polish of a Staypress production.
  5. @Paul Bush Could I suggest trying a little parallel compression the default Buss compressor that comes with CbB does an excellent job of such.
  6. Would it upset you if I said it sounds little boxy here? Sorry Paul.

    .......

Nice tune, vox sounds good on this, overall playing sounds accomplished. I am with Tom on the space/location sound of the EP and the Guitar perhaps a global reverb just to bring them all in to one overall space.
  8. He was such an underrated part of Genesis, his touch and sound are quite enthralling, absolutely love his solo stuff. I have some of his solo stuff but have not kept up to date for reason that are annoying but...
  9. Thank you Freddy. I wondered if anyone would notice, thank you
  10. I was listening to it as a whole presentation, I suppose for the genre the Kick could be viewed as a little thin sounding, have you tried using Parallel compression on it? Or perhaps using some surgical EQ on the other voices sharing the same frequency range. Personally I usually put quite a narrow cut around the 80Hz mark on any Bass instruments to give space for the thump of the kick. The advice on low pass everything that is not bass is also a little misplaced, yes where appropriate but not everything only where they are causing mud to occur and avoid Reverb on anything below 150Hz.
  11. Thank you sir, he has been an influence on my music just a tiny tiny tiny little bit ?? Who knows will there be a part 4? Will I have a revolt if I do not play one of the others. Thank you T you are most kind sir.
  12. Mix comes across OK what do you think is wrong with it?
  13. @Hidden Symmetry thank you sir, it was a bit of fun, now do I go for four or should I stop it there?
  14. No knowledge of the chap or the original song, but this made the furry ears wiggle positively.

    Sahara

Pleasant easy rock groove, with a hint of the east, nice cool stuff.

    Winter Sketch

    Pleasant little ride, thank you.
  17. Amusing little ditty thanks for sharing.
  18. @Smashing Galaxy Just a couple of points Wookiee's do not like enclosed spaces, and a cars boot is not going to stop him ripping his or her way out. Nice easy on the furry ears tune, nicely captured and pleasantly sung. Touch of early Simon and Garfunkel. I would be carful of those light speed soda streams.
  19. Arturia's new V 8 collection arrived just in time, that is their Vocoder V and my own samples. Thank you you are most kind Douglas. Cheers Tim, nice of you to drop by, have you indulged in the up grade to the V 8 Collection?
  20. Beyond Part 3 Lyrics if you can call them that? Just before the first light of dawn breaks Just after the fading light of sunset is dismissed The fragile veil between worlds thins Just after the fading light of sunset is dismissed Just before the first light of dawn breaks Can we glimpse what is beyond? Thanks for listening.

    Hate Me

@Douglas Kirby. First no I am sorry I will not hate you. I liked this so hating you is hard, nice solid well balanced mix here, I could be picky about some of the drum sound if I really wanted to but it is not worth the effort and 99.9% would not notice anyway. Dam producer ears.
