Is the guitar real of a VSTi? Mix and playing wise it has a certain lose feel to it like Chicken Shack.
-
@Hidden Symmetry Thanks for the listen and comment your time and input is always appreciated. Thank you, it is building and going somewhere part 6 is buzzing around the back of the furry skull it just has not made it to the furry paws yet, patience has its virtues.

And yet again @Kevin Walsh I find myself listening to one of your tunes when dear Missy got me out of bed at 04:20 am for some unknow reason, but today she did not want to go back to bed so I have been up since silly o'clock today. This does sound nice though

I will admit it is not my thing, but I can comment on the mix still but please do not take offence it is meant to be constructive. For me on my Adam's the kick does not sound like it has any weight, there dose not appear to be anything in the mid frequencies and what is there sound thin at the top. Have you mixed this on headphones or ear buds? I would think with a few tweaks you could add what is missing back in to the mix.

I add some control (Boz Digitals free Width plugin) to reduce the width of the tremolo effect on the Stage 73 V for some reason Arturia have made it really wide and there is no width control in the synth. Thanks for your time and ears as always your input is appreciated. Mr Richard Wrights keyboard skills are an unconscious influence on me I think, I can frequently hear Mr Gilmour play his guitar over my stuff but the furry paws do not have the skills or chops to emulate him so I do not dare to try. Thank you for listening and your kind words, part 5 is lurking somewhere on this forum.

As your song progresses it does not change, the lyrical content does but the actual back/supporting music does, not whilst I appreciate that this to some extent is the nature of the genre you can make subtle changes that will keep the interest of the listener and allow you to extended your song. You can change the nature of the Bass by adding a few additional notes that would allow you to repeat a vocal passage without it sounding like you are just repeating the same thing.

Not my thing but it sounded like it had been put together well, the mix was balanced, I agree with @jack c. needs to be longer and more developed.

Mix sound OK here @garybrun

Classic @freddy j vocal and groove, I like it, the double tracked vocal is a nice touch. ? I will say you could try and be more specific on your genre definition ??
-
Funky little groove, I do wonder if your lead vocal is a little dry for the genre. Nice guitar and EP cool stuff sounds nice here on the Adam's.
-
Would I be right in detecting some 5th's in that opening chord progression, as ever nice easy on the ears Jazz from you @Hidden Symmetry.
-
Nothing like a bit of discord to add an edge, thanks for listening and commenting you are most kind.
-
Nice track, shame it cuts off so abruptly at the end, mix sound nice here on the Adam's
-
@kurt soderquist you might find this useful for adding width, it is free.
-
@Douglas Kirby Nice tight mix, who does not like a squelchy synth. Nice job sir.

Thanks Reece, hum this is part 4 you know?, they will all be joined in that Prog/Concept album way when I cut the CD. I do appreciate your ears, time and comment.
-
Thank you Gary, Possibly the weirdly droning Voltage Modular and the Parallels patch? Thank you sir. There was no ARP used here on the basses. One Bass does have a synced LFO sweep with quite a steep resonance bell, the other has a synced tape based delay from Waves Factory emulation of the Copy Cat echo machine VST-FX = Echo Cat.

To you as well Kenny keep the music coming it is always a pleasure to listen to you. Thank you sir you are most kind.

@kennywtelejazz Nice to hear you got your self another four legged friend, nice funky backing track for you to groove to in your usual skilful style. Love it, the dog looks cool too, have fun and enjoy him. I was just going to hit post and it hit 2:14 love that tone sweeeeeeet

@jack c. Answer to 3 if you put an @ before their user name it should tag them and notify them when they log in to the Forum or if they have set to be notified by email they will be sent an email. There a numerous methods of adjusting the volume which can assist in changing the dynamics. As MIDI Volume/Velocity adjust is such an extensive subject probably worth looking in the reference guide on MIDI Velocity. If oyu listen to your song all the hits on the cymbals are the same level, volume this would not be so in the real world. It would also help if you watched some YouTube Videos on MIDI Dynamics. If you know the users name you can PM them.
-
@Starise Much easier to use someone else's MIDI pattern and then edit to suite your needs, gives a better overall feel to drums. Nice track though.

@Marcello It is not hot, it barely cracks -21LUFS as can bee seen in the attached. Sounds OK but is a tad quite, listening on my Adam A7x's.
