Bun of a sitch! "Only" 40% discount on two ebx's: Americana, and Metal. Well, guess we should be thankful for any EZ-Bass crumbs that get thrown our way, lol !

Already have the EZ-Bass Americana midi pack , so I was happy to see:

Note: <snip>  The contents of this EZbass MIDI pack are unique  and not included with the Americana EBX (which  includes its own MIDI library). Great fit, though!

As for the three ezx's, I will ask my standard question: Do these have "big brother" sdx counterparts, or are they "unique" solely to ezx?

Drums of Destruction (maybe Death & Darkness sdx?)

Custom Shop (maybe Custom & Vintage sdx?)

Kicks & Snares (?)

These don't have SDK counterparts.

Here are the EZX versions of SDKs:

  • Fields of Rock SDX -> Into The Dark EZX
  • Legacy Of Rock SDX -> Classic Rock EZX
  • Death & Darkness SDX -> Dark Matter EZX & Death Metal EZX
  • Decades SDX -> Big Band EZX
  • The Rock Foundry SDX -> Hard Rock EZX
  • The Progressive Foundry SDX -> Progressive EZX
  • Indiependent SDX -> Indie Folk EZX
  • Metal Machinery SDX -> Metal Machine EZX
  • The Rock Warehouse SDX -> Rock Solid EZX
  • Roots SDX -> Jazz EZX
  • Music City USA SDX -> Nashville EZX
  • Custom & Vintage SDX -> Vintage Rock EZX
  • The Metal Foundry SDX -> Metalheads EZX
  • Thanks 4

Custom Shop sounds pretty good. I've been hoping they deep discount Indiependent. I have enough libraries and am  so deep into Toontrack's drum ecosystem, from SD3 and various SDx and EZx libraries, that I tend to think about how the kit pieces might fit against the ones I currently use a lot.  The only time I pick up Toontrack expansions are flash sales and Black Friday, as oherwise, I think Toontrack prices their expansions far too high.

It may be that I don’t want to spend any money, or that I’m tone deaf, but can hardly tell apart americana from the vintage bass that comes with the core plugin, at least based on the example tracks. If anyone uses it frequently, would you  say it carries $50 worth of distinct differences that couldn’t be closely mimiced with one of the 2 core basses+tone shaping plugins/amps?

and sure, subjective question but call it more of a survey
