  1. Of all the plugins in the pack the one that caught my attention was the Delay Tape. I love this Roland effect but I'll not buy this pack for $199 (or even the individual plugin for $49) because I already have the Audiothing's Outer Space plugin and a Boss RE-20 pedal. I guess I'll also wait for a $99 sale. But I was happy to hear about this split payment deal. I really missed that. I'll use it to get the upgrade for the next V Collection version (I'm still in version 5).
  2. With the intro price + my monthly voucher I could get one of those for $25. After much youtube wandering I choose the "Dirty Shirley" DS-40. The 2 videos that sold me on it was the Sammy Boller's one on PA's channel and the other was a Pete Thorn video (this guy is AWESOME!) where he shows individual parts of one short track he made to demo the plugins. It was the UAD version of DS-40 but I assume the native version sounds the same.
  3. Jump to 28:20 for the conclusion, I agree with the reviewer: the Arturia is good but the Oberhausen is better. The main point for me is the TMT technology. If you just want a mono SEM I'd say this is not much relevant. But if you want a better polyphonic emulation, like in the Obie 4 voice or 8 voice, the individual variations on the components/voices reflects better the fact that those instruments are basically a collections of independent SEM modules somewhat tied together. Also, like the reviewer, I already had the Arturia SEM but could not let pass the Oberhausen when a good deal arrived last year.
  4. Everyone should already know this but... anyway.
  5. Isn't this the kind of loops you cannot use in a composition because you will be stroked later with a copyright claim? I was researching on the web about music registration and distribution (CD Baby, Distrokid, etc) and I saw some videos (from hip hop artists mainly) complaining about using purchased "beats" in their music and having this problem (at least on content distributed on Youtube).
  6. IMO the problem with sampled synth stuff, particularly with this UVI library, is that they sampled synth patches "expertly programmed" by UVI staff. This may really be the case but a patch is just a particular sound in a possibly infinite (or at least very big) set of sounds a synth can make. With emulations you can have, at least theoretically, access to that big sound set. And, yes, there are simulations and simulations. If you have the Repro synth from u-He there's no point IMO in buying a sampled Prophet library. Maybe a real Prophet but that's another 200000 cents. I dare to say the same about Monark and a Model D. YMMV.
  7. I thought it was a new phaser plugin πŸ™‚. In fact the correct name is FlexPraser.

    Waves 30% Code

I don't know if it'll be equivalent or if the promo is still valid but the Brainworx bx_XL v2 mastering limiter was $29 with the coupon BX-XL-2999. I don't have this plugin though (neither L3) as I prefer to use the IK's Stealth Limiter.
  9. My upgrade coupon is for 9 EUR only.
  10. I have a personal rule that I try to follow. If I lost a sale on a plugin with a great price this kind of sets my threshold point for it. I normally wait all the time needed to get this plugin for this price or lower. Of course, sometimes I cannot resist. But this has happened very occasionally πŸ™‚.
  11. Those orchestral libraries demos always sound kind of bland to me. And I never know if it's the library itself or the composition. Probably the latter. To illustrate my point see what this guy can do. He uses Spitfire and a couple of other libs. What do you think? It's the library or the composition? BTW... this guy's youtube channel is AWESOME!!!!
  12. You don't need to wait Fleer. I got the ensemble for free with the coupon. When you apply the coupon on the shopping cart the items there go to full price automatically.
  13. I was saving my Mozaic Beats Autotheory 5 upgrade ($20) just for an occasion like that.
  14. Is this noticeably better than the versions from Waves, IK Multimedia or Nomad Factory? It's common knowledge that this old hardware units all sounds slightly different from one another. So... soundwise (no pun intended ☺️)... different emulations with slightly different responses should be as well equivalent
  15. No doubt IK Multimedia does quality software but the question for me is always the 'bang for the buck' factor. Of course, this always depend on what you already have and all the other concurrent deals. For instance, I normally pass most of he iZotope's deals 'cause I always think they're too expensive. But, right now, I can get the Tonal Balance bundle (Ozone 9 Advanced, Neutron 3 Advanced and Nectar 3) for a little more than those $150 . If I put those options side by side there's no doubt where my money will go. I waited more than 2 years to get IK's Modo Bass for a good price. Modo Drum is already on my waiting list. And there goes this new reverb. No hurry.
  16. This certainly does not sounds like a must-have no-brainer game-changer control surface πŸ™‚

    Waves OVox

This does not sound correct. Unless something has changed I also had the Pianos & Keys bundle before upgrading to Inspire (plus some other synths) and, after that, my pianos & keys and all the individual licenses were replaced by a single Inspire license.

    Waves OVox

My strategy was: I bought the instruments one by one in the $29 sales up to the point that I had most of the bundle and this allowed me to upgrade for a reasonable price. It was easy for me 'cause I like instrument plugins more than any other type. And if I learned something since I started buying plugins was this: Patience is more valuable than Gold (or, in the case of Waves, more valuable than Mercury). πŸ™‚

    Waves OVox

This is the second plugin that I got for free since I got the Inspire Collection. And this is the only bundle that has been worth keeping WUPed for me. And this is the reason I always upgrade those collections instead of buying the new plugins individually. Even if you pay a little more (and sometimes you can pay less instead) you get a full year of 'WUPgrades'.

    Waves OVox

Included in the Inspire Collection πŸ˜€ And my Inspire WUP will expire in 23/01 🀣
  21. Maybe it'll be included in the Inspire instruments bundle, since it includes all Waves synths plus the Morphoder vocoder.
  22. Let's hope they are not must-breaking at least.
  23. A bass-trapping chair. How about this for a game-changer πŸ˜€
  24. After all this anxiety I just hope it's not a new piece of studio furniture.
  25. Are you guys saying that a must-brainer no-gamer change-haver will be a show-stopper?
