  1. Thanks! That sentiment takes me back to my DJ days, recording a set and at the 50 minute mark messing up a beatmatch haha. Hour wasted. Luckily these jams are just around 5 minutes, I can always record again. Actually, this wás take 2 because in the first take I just forgot to open the filter of the Peak. So halfway through I was like "I'm missing something..." 😅
  2. They are messing things up a bit. The Raummaschine is on the page of the Blackbox. And for a very brief moment I got very very excited (see image). Turns out the shipment was just the plugin. In the email it says that the order is for the Raummaschine but when I click on the order it says that it is the Blackbox.
  3. Oh that's just great, now I have to get that one too. And another chance at the Creme.
  4. My latest jam. I've been in a sort of creative rut lately. Not really happy with anything I made. And to be honest, this is no exception. It's certainly not bad and I still had some fun. But you know, sometimes it's just not what you want it to be. It's...eh, messy? On top of that I made a slight playing error near the end (marked with an "oops" graphic) and decided to leave my (Dutch) reaction at the end as a blooper/outtake. "Oooh one tiny mistake, a f* it, let it go haha." I amuse myself...🤪
  5. Very good dev! This too seems like a nifty little tool.
  6. Freebeat also has a quick walkthrough the changes. So next to all the existing oscillator types (including a vocoder and wavetable) we are getting granular AND samples?! The year is 2035: Arturia announces version 18.0 for the Microfreak. It somehow grew legs and is able to dance on stage AND get you a beer while you jam. There is a new stereo output because the Microfreak, and only the Microfreak, is able to morph MIDI CC data into sound. It learned this with the implementation of AI in version 16.5. After it became sentient, it started to use it's microphone as a speaker to give you hints on how to properly use the granular arpeggiator, provided in 5.0 (!!!). Arturia suggests to not connect it to the internet, as it started to make Youtube accounts where it makes fun of the upgrade price of V collection 15. We are yet to figure out how it is able to film, but we suspect it's the D# key.
  7. Trouble is I don't seem to be able te delete previous versions? Or I'm overlooking something. I've never used Gold 3 and that's installed also.
  8. The gift that keeps on giving. I can't wait to use this in my jams! Sounds awesome. It borders on insane how great their dedication is to the MF 😎
  9. Thanks for the heads-up, seems to be a free upgrade for existing Gold users.
  10. Again a bit scary to play live, but I was smart in choosing a scale where I could just play the black notes and I would be mostly fine 😇. The TD-3 is very underrated imo, so here it, front and center. I got a bit lucky with the Microfreak (which plays that dub stab), that the patch had some filter modulation so every hit is different. That saved me a lot of filter tweaking. The 2600 is growing on me more and more, but it's still not the easiest to get a grip on. The opera singer is from Fluffy Audio Simple Opera Singer, $49 when not on sale (I think I got it for $39). Sounds awesome as a layer! I tried to keep the beat very minimal and soft so the synths took the leading role. I think it worked pretty well. Perhaps a bit too much reverb. And I should have low cut the Microfreak. Lessons learned.
  11. Living the dream!
  12. I'm actually pretty proud of myself I got bumped down from the €75 tier to the €50.
  13. Already not regretting the decision 😎
  14. Rift is on my watchlist and this is indeed the lowest I have seen it go for. Previous low was 79. So I'm buying this time.
  15. Hmm could be? I got the bundle as soon as it came out, being a Moog fanboy, and I have ClusterFlux. Don't remember installing it seperately, but that's relying on my memory which I don't reconmend.
  16. Oh I'm in also. Have heard a lot of good things from Tegeler and a small leap of faith was warranted. So, no luck on that Creme of yours, that's gonna be mine.
  17. From their website: "On June 1st, Tegeler will launch their first sound-enhancing plugin and will celebrate it by giving away one (1) Creme per 100 pre-orders. We can only tell you what exactly it is on the release day. Why? Because usual product announcements are way too boring. You can preorder the plugin for 59,90€ (incl. VAT) until May 31st, 23:59*. After that, the price will increase to 99,90€ (incl. VAT) – and it won't change anymore. We're simply not fans of pricing digital products extremely high, only to cross them off 3 days a year and quote our actual price. Everyone is just waiting for Black Friday to buy the plugin they want, and get annoyed if they need it earlier and have to buy it overpriced. That's why we will continue to follow our policy: “fair pricing without any manipulative marketing tricks.” Here’s the coolest part, though: we're giving away one free Creme every 100 preorders, so you have a good chance to snag a free Creme with your plugin purchase. Shipping included. This is what we can say about the plugin: it’s incredibly versatile, genre-independent, and it comes with lifetime plugin support. That’s right, no countless subscriptions or forced upgrade purchases. Buy it once and the plugin is yours. Forever. You’ll be able to use it as often as you want in your session. You can put it in every track of your project multiple times. The only limit is your processing power, not your license with us." Soooo, buy something you won't know you need, or else it gets more expensive. I'm in! Edit: Link added https://www.tegeler.com/Blackbox
  18. It's not smart, but neither am I, so that's a match. But apparently this is a parallel EQ by design. Which I think neither Pro-Q3 or Kirchoff is. Then again, they have dynamic EQ and this one doesn't. It sounded pretty sweet/transparent in the demos I checked. But I'm still not sure I will use it. Of course I need it, I need every EQ. But using it...
  19. This is a very underrated synth.
  20. Oh bummer. Well that's the path I chose. I'm also on the 50% off sale trajectory, so I'm always behind. And I'm not buying NI products besides my Komplete upgrades to avoid doubles.
  21. It depends on the project I think. When I edit my studio jams, the music is the centerpiece. So I make shure that is optimal. Render it out and then put it under my video in Davinci Resolve. There I do my video editing so I can match it somewhat to the music. If it was the other way around (video as the centerpiece) I think I would go the route of rendering out the video and using my DAW to match the music to the video. But that also depends of course. I did an unboxing short recently and I just made a generic upbeat tune which I put under the video in Resolve.
  22. Thank you! To be fair, the Malevolent is a bit magical.
  23. Is that how you spell it? Afterlifey? Afterlife-eske? Esque? Anyway, some may know the style. Big synths, pulsating rhythms and those loud stabs. The 2600 proved to be a perfect candidate. Please enjoy!
