  1. Wow! That's some low pricing 😲 Any recommendations Fleer?
  2. Nice idea Mesh! Thanks trager. Only 83Mb too. I also check my Everything Bundle link with them occasionally for updates.
  3. Thanks Mesh, Sounds like it's worth demo'ing (downloading it as I type this). I have also downloaded Algonaut Atlas Demo as it is half the price of XO. You mention that the included beats are more for electronic music. Can you, for example, have a separate XO space with all acoustic kit pieces? This morning I was trying to find a kit in amongst all of my stuff for a typical mid-70s Steely Dan drum sound and thought this would be a perfect utility for just that scenario.
  4. And so say all of us! Thanks as always Larry for all that you have done and all that you are about to do 🤘🏻
  5. The following videos convinced me to add Scaler to my wish list a couple of months ago (they are quite long but stick with it).. https://youtu.be/JYiHQrrLHuQ (part 1) https://youtu.be/cV3srv2Wq3M (part 2) I already have a ton of plugins similar to this, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, but this seems to be really good for playing around with modal interchange - finding chords or sequences of chords that work to replace existing chords to spice up a sequence. So you can start with a nice but standard chord sequence and develop it into something more interesting. You don't need Scaler to do this but it makes it quicker to experiment with all of the different options.
  6. Interesting. Thanks Yan, I'll check it out. Edit: Found this reddit on the subject... https://www.reddit.com/r/edmproduction/comments/cp9rfb/xln_audio_xo_vs_algonaut_atlas/
  7. That's the one I was waiting for too! Thanks for the heads up.
  8. Funny you mention it Mesh. It's recently been brought to my attention by accident after coming across another video (Zo's is very cool and I recall watching that one also). I was watching this guy's (Baphometrix) long and in-depth stuff on modal interchange and YouTube suggested this one afterwards.... https://youtu.be/zHzgFPCppsw The offer in my email is 89.97 EUR which includes VAT for us Europeans 😣 The email said the offer code was exclusively for me.

    Eventide BF Sale

Anthology XI is also showing $349 for me at Eventide. I own Elevate Mastering Bundle, Black Hole, SP2016 Reverb, Quadravox and 2016 Stereo Room. Will probably pass as I have other BF plans for that money.
  10. Same here! I just noticed that I have an e-voucher in my account for it. It's only 9 GBP off though and I bet it won't work with items on sale so it will be useless like most of their vouchers.
  11. I agree completely! Why make it so you have to learn a load of new symbols if you know theory. They should at least make it possible to disable the symbols and replace them with standard nomenclature.
  12. Have to say I can't see the point of those symbols. 😕 Compared to something like Chord Potion it seems very limited and kind of unfinished. There are only 13 presets built in (with 8 variations). The UI does scale but the text (which is the hard part to see) does not scale with everything else. The Key up/down arrows don't seem to do what I was expecting them to do in terms of the current chord sequence. I guess it could be okay for creating some quick triads for chords, 2 part harmonies or bass lines but I think I will put the money I would have spent on this towards something more polished. The demo does work OK and at least it doesn't install any of those annoying multi-MIDI port utilities. I got it work work quite easily in CbB. Try it if you are tempted but I am going to pass.
  13. Thanks Larry! Looks pretty good for the price. Will try the demo. It is apparently a redesigned and improved version of the legacy product IC28 by Re-Compose.
  14. Thanks Larry. I went there to download it then realised that I have AutoGainPro which is on different version 🤦🏻‍♂️ However, while I was there I thought "it's a day with a Y in it so there'll be a sale on something"..... then noticed AutoGainPro Mk2 which is currently reduced from 26.99 EUR to 3.99 EUR. https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-autogain-pro-mk2/ Seemed rude not to!
  15. Thanks for checking out the new offerings Simon. I already had UJAM Iron from the previous offer and the other plugins sound like they are more trouble than they are worth.
  16. Just checked the email again and it says... So for me it was probably due to my recent upgrade from FX1 Pro to FX2 Pro. I am guessing that it might also apply if you have upgraded Bias Amp recently. I am just glad I didn't go straight to Elite as this is going to work out cheaper.
  17. Focusrite’s Plug-in Collective Holiday Bundle brings together two powerful audio effects from Mastering The Mix and sonible, and a highly realistic virtual guitar instrument from UJAM. Whether you missed our previous offers or you're brand new to Plug-In Collective, this is your opportunity to greatly expand your production toolkit – for free. UJAM’s Virtual Guitarist Iron puts a world-class studio guitarist and their rig at the heart of your DAW, enabling producers of all ability levels to perform and capture authentic rock/metal riffs and power chords with their MIDI keyboard. 1000 sampled phrases in 100 rock and metal styles are expertly performed by a top session guitarist, while chord and phrasing keyswitches, and Swing and Feel sliders make it easy to construct dynamic, utterly convincing guitar parts on the fly. Grow is a stereo manipulation module from Mastering The Mix’s Animate plug-in that enables widening of selected frequencies using a psychoacoustic precedence effect. It can be applied dynamically, so that widening is only applied when the signal exceeds a specified threshold, bringing life and movement to individual tracks and mixes. Finally, the A.I.-driven Balancer, by sonible in partnership with Focusrite, automatically adjusts a range of under-the-hood filters in order to find the right spectral balance for the input signal based on a range of tailored instrumental and vocal profiles. Choose a character setting to tailor the sound – Neutral, Warm or Bright – and ramp up the Intensity to fix bad recordings or make good ones sound even better. UJAM Virtual Guitarist Iron retails for €129 and Mastering The Mix Grow retails for £17, but Plug-in Collective members can download both, plus sonible Balancer, for free from their Focusrite account, from 14th November 2019 to 16th January 2020. https://focusrite.com/news/plug-collective-holiday-bundle
  18. I would have posted it Larry but it has my email address embedded in it.

    cubase 10.5 released

Thanks Simon. I like the look of the new features in PS2 and I think I only paid 10 GBP for the PS1 Pro upgrade so no biggie as far as I'm concerned. Makes the case for upgrading to 10.5 a bit more tempting (especially if the price is lowered for BF).

    cubase 10.5 released

Could someone just clarify something--- I have Cubase 10 Pro and also purchased the PadShop Pro upgrade (fortunately it was super cheap). If I update to Cubase 10.5 Pro does that come with PadShop 2 or do I have to purchase that separately? The videos I have watched seem to imply that PS2 is included in Cubase 10.5 Pro. Thanks
  21. Check your emails if you have a PG account or have bought something from them recently (UPDATE: See below for more details). I received an email from them this morning entitled "Take a survey, get a $20 gift". It didn't take long to complete and I then received an email with a voucher for 20 USD. I currently have FX 2 Pro and Amp 2 Pro and I can upgrade either one for 50 USD each. So I will probably use the voucher to get FX 2 Elite for 30 USD.
  22. Probably pining for the fjords!
  23. I sleep all night and I work all day.
