  1. ARC 2.5 introduced the MEMS microphone, if that is what you have it would be the same microphone. Your mic will work. However we do have more information on why the MEMS microphone is the best choice: With normal “recording” microphones the accuracy of the frequency response down to the dB or fraction of dB is not that crucial, but for measurement microphones it’s a fundamental aspect. There were two models of the original ARC condenser microphone, one with an orange ring at its base, one without; the first model is from 2007 and it’s the one without the orange ring. Condenser microphones tend to vary their response with environmental conditions and with age. In 2009 that mic was replaced with the second model (with the orange ring) to improve the stability with time and temperature. So, if you own one of the original ring-less microphones that was sold between 2007 and 2009, while you can for sure use and see the results, there are chances that its reliability is not great at today (11+ years later), making the precision of the ARC 3 correction less accurate. The second model was more stable, but even that one is surpassed in terms of precision and stability with environment and age by the ARC 3 MEMS microphone. So, if you’re after a great level of accuracy from your monitoring system, make sure to use the ARC 3 MEMS microphone for the room analysis phase. Please see above about the microphones. Thanks for the compliment, I did have some influence - not gonna lie
  2. MODO BASS is also on sale through the end of the month, in our Spring Strings sale, if that works out to a good deal based on your eligibility. Yes. The SampleTank 4 Editor is available to those who have SampleTank 4, SampleTank 4 SE, or SampleTank 4 MAX. Yes, SampleTank 4 SE is included. We had added that to the main graphic on the Total Studio 2 MAX page a while ago to indicate this. Thank you. Note that we are OK, even though our HQ is in Italy. Our staff are all healthy and our developers are toiling away from their homes working on our software. We should be able to reopen our warehouses and production lines (we manufacturer a lot of our hardware ourselves in Italy) to capacity soon too. We are still able to make and ship the products we have, though we also have the unexpected surge in interest in our streaming-friendly products like iRig Stream to make things challenging but we're glad we can help musicians keep working by doing their lessons, performances, etc online. It is more a Krazy Deal (but the name Total Studio Spectacular fit more) but I definitely have pushed that we should make sure we get on Total Studio 3 when we have enough to add to make it a great deal too. Yes, we're working on that and I can say it looks really great! While I hope it comes out soon, I don't know if it would be right after you are done. It will be a great help for everybody and as I said above it looks really great. For sure, I did reply above but wanted to reiterate that you're fine. Stay safe and positive and let's all push through this!
  3. Yes, glad it all is worked out. I'm still here alongside you in the "getting older and having more confused moments" if that helps 😀
  4. There is no built-in system wide function. There are free and commercial products that will work with ARC 3 and we should have some FAQ information posted about this soon. That is correct. ARC 3 is the current version that replaces the previous versions so they are no longer for sale.
  5. If you have ARC System 2+ you will have a $/€50 coupon off the $/€99.99 price applied in your cart when you add ARC 3.
  6. Introducing ARC System 3 Bring a new dimension of acoustic correction to any studio. We are proud to announce a new generation of acoustic correction with ARC System 3. This new system offers an all-new 3D room analysis algorithm, easier setup, compatibility with more measurement microphones, and superior results. Engineers and producers, now is the time to start mixing better, faster, and more confidently than ever before. By correcting poor room acoustics, ARC System 3 lets you trust the sound you hear as the most accurate representation of your mix. It combines an ultra-accurate MEMS measurement microphone, room analysis software, and a correction plug-in, all in a simple-to-use package that delivers amazing results. Walls, furniture, and other objects reflect and absorb sound, changing the frequency balance and stereo imaging an engineer or producer hears in their studio. ARC System 3 detects and accounts for these issues by quickly and precisely measuring the sound of a room to generate a correction profile that can be loaded into the ARC plug-in for use in any DAW. By measuring a room at three different heights around the listening position, IK’s award-winning VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) technology creates a 3D snapshot of the room to identify problematic issues without over-processing the sound. The result is an incredibly natural-sounding correction that recreates the experience of working in a professionally tuned room. ARC System 3 offers additional controls to fine-tune corrections for ideal performance in any room and setup: Adjustable correction range - Choose to define limits to upper and lower correction ranges separately to preserve a monitor’s unique voicing or to correct a certain frequency range. Variable resolution and smoothing - The correction filter’s resolution can be adjusted to use more or fewer frequency bands, for either surgical correction or a broader, smoother balance. Two Phase Modes - Normal and Linear phase modes ensure precise stereo imaging. Plus, you can now leave the car test in the past. ARC System 3 allows users to emulate all sorts of listening devices such as TVs, smartphones, car audio systems, and many popular studio monitors and "virtual systems". This guarantees a perfect sound translation across common listening devices. With neverending ways to study your mix, ARC System 3 gives you useful tools including Peak, RMS, Loudness and dynamic range metering, a real-time spectrum analyzer, and so much more! Monitor your sound and speed up your workflow to make quick and effective changes. ARC System 3 (software-only) is available now and the complete bundle including the MEMS microphone will be available in Q2, but can be pre-ordered now. Price and availability ARC System 3 software-only version is now available for $/€199.99.* Existing owners of any registered IK product that retails for $/€99 or more can purchase the ARC System 3 software-only crossgrade for $/€99.99. ARC 2.0 or later users will receive a $/€50 coupon off the $/€99.99 price {applied automatically in cart). ARC System 3 complete bundle with MEMS microphone will be available in Q2 for $/€249.99 and can be pre-ordered now. 7. You should be able to load a picture, have you reached out to other users on the SampleTank 4 Editor subforum on the IK Forum? The manual should give the specs from what I recall but I don't have it in front of me right now. We do have third parties creating full detailed libraries with the editor so it should be fully operational for all.
  8. There's a new video from the very talented Luca Zabbini with SampleTank 4 CS and SampleTank libraries, hope everybody is enjoying using the new tool and/or 4GB+ new free sounds: Luca is a beast, very talented and he's playing his own compositions so he's a talented player and writer for sure.
  9. New video from the very talented Luca Zabbini with SampleTank 4 CS and SampleTank libraries:
  10. Wow thanks for that! I love these plates too and the pre-delay comment is spot on. Joe Chiccarelli mentions using pre-delay with the T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb plates in his video too.
  11. Thanks for the AmpliTube shoutouts. Many collections including the Fender collections mentioned above happen to be on sale in our Spring Strings promotion currently too
  12. We gave 30 JamPoints if anybody was making purchases anyway, to defray cost for those folks. Otherwise, we realized we had just released 4GB+ of free sound content (not a demo) and have free versions of our flagship software products for guitar/bass, mixing/mastering, etc that have gear to be able to make music completely free during this time. Having our headquarters in Italy made this hit home really hard and fast and we're definitely not taking it lightly nor trying to profit off of a crisis by any means. We give a realistic status via this news item on our site as well as what free software people can use while they are stuck inside. We also live stream daily and we field questions about how to live stream for those who are trying to stay making their living with music whilst their gigs, lessons, recording at a studio, etc are cancelled. We do have a surge of interest in our iRig Stream and such because tools like iRig Stream do help people give lessons and stream their music online but that surge was organic and not having to do with anything we would ever do to exploit such a situation that has hit us very hard (and I know it has hit everybody hard - just imagine the worry we had when Italy's cases and deaths grew multiple times over one weekend, worry for our friends and families... and then it just continued to get worse across the world - that's not the kind of "we are not alone" that we want to see we want to see things get better). Honestly, the streams are also a nice diversion and it is nice to see some of the artist guests talk to fans while they can't do so directly on tours etc. Of course my colleagues and I want to stay in business and that will be challenging for just about everybody on our planet at this point, we enjoy what we do and want to keep doing it but also want everybody including our friends, family, IK users, any human beings and creatures of all sorts to pull through this with their health and livelihood intact.
  13. These are daily streams, please check out the news at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=iklive Here are the topics and guests for each this week:
  14. I believe it was captured so we can repost later. We will also be using different streaming methods including YouTube live for upcoming sessions. Ryan will be doing one soon, more of a "Tech Tips" stream and that may be on YouTube or another medium.
  15. Today at 4PM EST we have Dave "Squids" Kerzner live on the IK Multimedia Instagram channel and you could win T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb
  16. We'll be doing regular live streams while we are all stuck inside, not just Mark and Ryan but guest artists and other great IK folks like Dave "Squids" Kerzner - I may even do some but I'll likely do more guerrilla streams* on Reddit's RPAN or something like that They'll also give away stuff on these and this time it is AmpliTube for iOS. I won't be picking the winner so unfortunately I cannot favor anybody from here. Anyway, these are informal and if you don't know Mark Menghi he's with the band Metal Allegiance (with Alex Skolnick, Mike Portnoy, and a bevy of guitar and regular guitarists and drummers) and certainly has been impacted by the shutdown. He and many of his metal peers have had to scramble since they make their living making music so feel free to ask about that and anything else Mark (and don't forget Ryan who's obviously quite knowledgeable though probably with a bit less edge than I have ). Not sure either has the magic bullet for this situation but they're both cool guys who can talk about guitar-related (or any music-related) topics or just shoot the breeze. They'll take questions, for sure. https://www.instagram.com/ikmultimedia/ *Dibs on the band name "Guerrilla Streams"
  17. My father told me he was taking one of the other free courses last night. Since he helped me pay to go there (when online college courses didn't exist!) I suppose he should feel good about getting something for free from them.
  18. Gear Credits are for Custom Shop. Lurssen Mastering Console is not a Custom Shop product like T-RackS is. We expanded their use from a la carte gear to include some collections that were for Custom Shop products, though, which may have confused some (some folks even said we shouldn't offer those for Gear Credits but offering more things for them should be better, no?).
  19. Seconded, that subreddit is in my favorites list. This is a great resource. For general gaming deals there are also some subreddits like r/gamebundles and for Xbox-specific deals (I mainly play on PC but have Xbox One X and you can get a lot of great stuff, some free each month if you have Xbox Live Gold as many of you know) r/GreatXboxDeals There's also a healthy game trading market there but it has its pitfalls like any trading community might even with the safeguards most of the related subreddits post to help users. Plus it does take a bit of time to build up official rep to make it worthwhile in my opinion.
  20. You should see my Steam library! Or worse, the GOG Galaxy 2.0 list which includes all the major launchers and Xbox (where I have at least a couple hundred non-GamePass games)! My wife and I check Epic every few days too, since neither can remember the schedule and there was a period where they did daily freebies too but she got them and I missed a few since it was during NAMM thus difficult to keep on the radar.
  21. Two more freebies: Goat of Duty https://store.steampowered.com/app/555000/GOAT_OF_DUTY/ Deiland https://store.steampowered.com/app/760620/Deiland/
  22. I was able to get these both directly on Steam without logging into the Square Enix site, still for free. https://store.steampowered.com/app/203160/Tomb_Raider/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/289690/LARA_CROFT_AND_THE_TEMPLE_OF_OSIRIS/
