  1. Pretty sure there is an Ample Sounds thread about the current sale in the deals forum. Best post there about pricing. Aside from intro sales, manufacturers typically offer their best prices during the last two month of the year.

    Audio metronome broken

No, the files under programData are the master files used to create %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core %appdata% is a Windows variable that stores the location of your account's AppData\Roaming directory. Enter it in the Windows File Explorer path display to see the actual path

    Audio metronome broken

This is not where CbB looks for metronome files The metronome looks for files in %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Metronome
  4. CbB does not use C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Metronome for metronome files. It uses %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Metronome Did you try hold down SHIFT while opening CbB or opening a project? The former should restore missing files to the user directory %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core the latter opens a project in safe mode.
  5. By speaker I guess you mean speakers attached to the PC. The ASIO spec allows only one I/O driver to be used at a time. When using the Behringer umc204 ASIO driver all audio must be handled by it. So, you have a couple of choices: 1) Attach speakers to the Behringer umc204 running both Windows and the DAW to it. 2) Attach one set of speakers to the Behringer umc204 for the DAW and another set of speakers to the PC for Windows 3) Use a different driver mode in CbB and increase the latency setting in preferences until the buffer is high enough to work
  6. Make sure CbB is set to ASIO driver mode and the ASIO I/O buffer is large enough to handle the project.
  7. I do not have Vocal Doubler. Bypassing effects is a quick way to determine if plug-ins contribute to plug-in delay compensation. Some plug-ins are not suitable while tracks. For those plug-ins either replace them with a low latency plug-in that performs a similar function, bypass the plug-in entirely, temporarily freeze the track or bounce the entire project to a temporary scratch track and archive all the tracks while continuing tracking. Maybe the PDC override can help too. All plug-ins a project can contribute to plug-in delay compensation because the delay is applied to all tracks so they stay in sync.
  8. Input Echo (the orange button to the right of the record button) is enabled on tracks 4 and 5. So, both tracks are set to play MIDI data coming from the source set in the MIDI input drop down.
  9. Some plug-ins need large look ahead buffers to work. Often plug-ins that introduce latency have some mention of it in their documentation. These plug-ins are designed for mixing and mastering where latency is not an issue. They are not designed for tracking. Linear phase EQs need a large look ahead buffer. The Cakewalk L-Phase EQ is no exception. The plug-in has an option to reduce its buffer by setting the Precision to Non-Linear in the Expert menu (page 19 of the LP EQ help). The good news is linear phase EQ settings may not be the best choice for tracks anyway. The internal clock setting may be used any time the project is MIDI only. If there is ANY audio coming from the DAW (including the audio metronome), the clock is set to audio.
  10. Bounce to Tracks with Source Category set to the track containing the clip(s) to split and Channel Format set to Split Mono will split the stereo track and the clips in the track into two Mono track with mono clips. Delete one mono track and center the pan in the other for a single mono track panned to the middle.
  11. I do not have Ozone 9. My test was a new project with no plug-ins before adding the ProQ3. There may be more info in a dump. That is why I pointed to Noel's post about debugging plug-in problems.
  12. Also performed the test instead of step 2, I split the stereo clip into two stereo clips in the same track this worked too.
  13. Performed the same test I detailed above skipping step 2 and it worked OK.
  14. Sure one can add clip FX to a stereo track, I split the clip base on I must have misunderstood this step
  15. I just tried using a new project udinh 2019-11 build 63 on Win10 1903 1) adding a stereo clip 2) Bounce to Tracks using the track containing the stereo clip as the source, format Split Mono 3) I tried a adding VST3 ProQ3 v3.1.1.49 to one of the mono clips using the Clip FX rack plug-in menu and dropping the plug-in from the browser CbB did not crash. May want to follow directions below to capture more info
  16. There may be an additional TruePianos discount for SONAR users. It is worth an e-mail.
  17. Yes. The bundled AD2 and Melodyne are not tied to the DAW in any way. They are the regular retail products. TruePianos may run without a valid SONAR installation, CbB may pass its validation. I cannot say for certain having not tested this. The SI Suite is part of CbB.
  18. The license for AD2 bundled with SONAR was the full retail version. It has no dependency on SONAR at all. The same is true for Melodyne Essential.
  19. Hover the mouse cursor over the user icon or name to the left of their post in the forum and click the message option or Click on the envelope icon at the top of the forum, then click the Compose New button
  20. You know I am not going to throw users into regedit when there is a tool to create the entries. The same tool provides edit and delete among other functions. It's all documented in the help.
  21. Is this 64bit SONAR Professional? If so, the first thing to do is install the 32bit version. The project was made with a 32bit version of SONAR and the Cakewalk 32bit DX plug-ins cannot load in a 64bit DAW. WRT the playback device error, it may help to know the audio interface being used.
  22. Although is often a permissions problem where either CbB or SoundForge is running as administrator and the other is not.
