    EQP-1A $19

Seems like the same promise as MautodynamicEQ and Kirchhoff EQ provide (though I don't the K-KQ has the saturation). MADWQ is on sale for about the same price point and offers more bands or a fair amount less if a new customer and also use referral discount code.
  2. You must have forgotten the fact that it seemed like every month the updates would fail / not work properly within the App itself. It all seemed much better when they got rid of it, IMO.
  3. Agreed, pretty poor experience here that could have easily been avoided by simply asking 2 people to try it out.
  4. Yeah that fixed the crashing part, but all the tape decks sound like sawtooth clipping to me and far more extreme even with input really low. Tried in both Cake and Reaper with the same issue - guessing someone else can confirm the same.
  5. Let me know when VST City comes out where we compete to buy the most plugins we will never use. That sounds a little closer to my style.
  6. Wish this system and TECH was built into TONEX. It is the most impressive IR system on the market but also costs far too much for an IR loader even though it is fully stocked. The Free version is capable and generous though (but also a rather massive download that reminds me of IKM - download the whole thing for the 1 plugin you are getting)
  7. Massive Blu-ray collector here, but in the computer world they are antiquated tech already. And would take a whole pile of discs to backup the IKM suite. My IKM download/backup is about 1TB that is double the space of most laptops being sold today. Completely absurd to have to buy drives to backup something of that size for a future install.
  8. It wasn't showing up on the main page a couple of days ago, but it is today so I think the expectation now is that it should be
  9. When you own complete, the "beta" products only say "b" on the plugin itself if the entire installer is a beta version. Something that seems more far out into the future is the MTurboFilter (alpha, last I checked), it also doesn't say anything in the plugin itself other that 16.08.
  10. Depends on what else you already have, but yes a number of them are quite good. Baracade and the Compressor are a couple of staples. I like Morphit as someone that uses headphones frequently. MBC is feature rich for the money. The developer is basically genius level, IMO.
  11. Eq4 has a wonderful interface and I like that aspect more than the Kirchoff one. Eq4 doesn't sound quite as good if you punch settings to extremes (boosts and cuts) but it is one of my favorites on the market overall. I've never seen it for $20, and also only tried the AI part for a few minutes but have used it for years. The older version of Izotope Neutron elements Al's have an AI track assist function that is usable, that was given away many times. EQ4 I think is the best value out there outside of getting a massive discount on something else, but don't expect it to go on sale. The normal price used to be 39 but he dropped it to 29 as the market shifted.
  12. $25 for this one would be a steal. They haven't dropped it below $100 yet - so with a $75 voucher is the best you can get so far after many months on the market. The $75 voucher also takes an insane amount of consistent spend to get to that tier and goes away quickly if you don't keep it up . Outside of a generous gift (or buying the voucher at a discount) this one isn't exactly cheap to get. Anything below forever $29 should be an instant buy for anyone that doesn't have it yet (and doesn't have FabFilter). I'm expecting they will treat this one like they did with the Amek 9099 where it won't hit below 99 (pre voucher) for almost a year.
  13. I'd give it the trial period to see what you think. There are a ton of tone shaping options inside. Part of it will be related to if you bond with the workflow.
  14. This would be the same for everyone. I'm really surprised they didn't have a quick dot release to remove that name from the installer. I also understand there is an update to the nam loader that should hit the next update so surprised they didn't simply wait.
  15. Can't confirm "exact" but it basically was from what I recall. This product has been available to demo for a long time or free for complete users. There is a lot inside. Once they get the NAM loader rock solid this could be a force to recon with. Wish you could drop TONEX in the stack, that would make it insane
  16. He gets praise because his plugins use zero copy protection, can sound on par with a number of higher tier brands and are very cheap. While I agree more focus needs to be put on reliability of the tools (I have a couple that have bugs that make it unusable which is very rare for me) but others seems to perform just fine.
  17. I have many of the NA plugins. I captured a few profiles with TOneX to then compare to real amp captures using the same pedal. It was a fun experiment but the best NA stuff I came up with didn't have the same fun factor as the best real captures. In a world without Tonex, it was good enough to use. Now the plugins likely won't get launched with any frequency. I do think there is a market for it though if the price remains reasonable on sale. Not everyone will want to live in snapshot world. Though I've found Tonex (pedal form) to be the product I've waited decades for.
  18. It goes on sale for less than $30 a few times a year. They also walk to the beat of their own drum and don't seem to care or monitor what other vendors do. Mastering the Mix while they have been around for a while feels like a fly by night company by comparison. And anyone trying to keep up with waves never ending sales is spending wasted time that could be resources creating and supporting a product
  19. That was just the standard early access message, if you clicked on the more details of the release you would notice that no new features are added and it is a long list of bug fixes. If you haven't heard the news once this one gets the official release this will be the last update as the Cakewalk by Bandlab free version. The TBD model for Sonar (the future state of updates to this DAW) will be the platform for new features going forward.
  20. Depending on the studio setup, for me this pedal basically changes that approach. It becomes the pedal you load a variety of amps in and then you just bring a pedal / effects to boost or add color as needed. The other amps and DI options become obsolete. This is the tech I've been waiting for. The only real issue is the time it takes to profile gear.
  21. Not sure but honestly if you dive in with SE you may realize you really want the pedal which comes with Max. I own both SE and Max and it may surprise you that out of the 50 patches on my pedal I think about 6 of them are IKM ones. The rest are either my own creations or 3rd party either from ToneNet or 3rd party purchase. All of which SE can handle.
