  1. I’m a strings man, but these sure sound scary.
  2. I think the most interesting one in this new bundle is pure:comp.
  3. It’s a wonderful piano, but I primarily got it for the Glenn Gould (Goldberg Variations) link. So not for rock. I guess I’d rather opt for an upright Yamaha to play rock, maybe like VI Labs’ Modern U or Pianoteq’s U4.
  4. I’ve been driving into this bundle. It’s really something for someone like me. Even though I have some of the most exquisite comps (like the FabFilter and Slate ones) I really dig the simplicity of this “pure” series. And don’t see them as “one knob” plugins like the Waves ones. These sonible plugins are more akin to what iZotope does, but simplified. Everything AI happens behind the curtains. Genius in a tiny package.
  5. I’m getting the worst ever support from Waves. Obviously different support guys jumping in and out, sometimes suggesting something, other times not even looking at the problem. Dang, this is a hell of a company. And I’m not being positive. Wish I could WOOP their arses.
  6. I looooooooove the Tina Guo bundle. But also their Piano in Blue (now for Kontakt Player). The new CineStrings 2.0 and Apocalyptica are marvelous as well. Great dev.
  7. I got it a year or so ago and at that price it’s a good way to add those often needed brass stabs.
  8. I’ve totally succumbed to Eventide’s everything bundle.
  9. Spensif but verrrrrrrry good.
  10. Got this one last November. Good one.
  11. I personally am not a fan of what ProjectSam does. Albion ONE sounds much better to me. Then there’s Orchestral Tools, quality wise quite a level higher at similar prices.
  12. Their latest are FG-X 2 and FG-36A launched a few months ago.
  13. Got their Sequel 2 and that one’s pretty good.
  14. Perfect. Got their Kinetic Strings Plus and love it.
  15. BTW, some pretty good reviews of two mighty (fine) synths, FabFilter’s Twin 3 and Arturia’s Pigments 4.
  16. Yep. Still got a lite one (Reason Limited) lying around if someone’s interested.
  17. Best mag on the net!
  18. Hollywood Strings Diamond always was around 300GB, the largest of four parts (Strings, Brass, Woodwinds and Percussion). Brass and Woodwinds are 150GB each and Percussion about 100GB. All four would be around 700GB indeed.
  19. From the horse’s mouth (i.e. website): The BBC Symphony Orchestra plugin by Spitfire Audio is a wonderful entire orchestra in a single plug-in. Given the patience to sequence out multiple tracks, it is a very convincing sounding! BUT….. What if you would like to play it LIVE? All 5 String Sections, all 5 Woodwind sections AND all 5 Brass Sections, on the keyboard, ready to knock your socks off? There is only 1 way to pull this off and then change to another of over 180 variations/combinations of these instruments = In Unify! And this is just the beginning! DiscoverStation/CoreStation offer: 183 Patches combining instruments from the BBC Symphony Orchestra to make playable multi-instrument Patches. There are 382 MIDI Files covering both modern productions as well as classical production styles in meters including 3/4, 5/4, 7/8 and 15/8! There are many different applications in this library for how to use these Patches. Everywhere from simply playing the entire string, brass or woodwind section in realtime to MIDI Files playing elements with realistic techniques for use in all sorts of musical applications.
