  1. https://www.theregister.com/2025/02/21/hp_ditches_15_minute_wait_time_call_centers/?td=rt-3a too much sheet these days when looking at spreadsheets This is just one of the few things HP has done to not win any popularity contests.
  2. The whole point of free stuff seems to buy into an eco system. Many of them often require iLok. I bought my first iLok when Line 6 offered Amp Farm free. I don't install the free Waves anymore.
  3. I've stopped installing anything UAD since you have no control over their app. Sure you could delete it and still install their stuff. Their connect app has no options and starts up with Windows. BTW it is a complaint among users. I prefer not to deal with them. There's no shortage of 1176 emulations.
  4. it seems others are having issues even at correct resolution display is too large, task bar and vertical height are too large
  5. there are some Massuve synthwave presets for $5. I wasn't looking for something cheap but I thought these would be interesting to have, There are also Serum presets for that price.
  6. That isn't really any different than realizing what is in a DAW is quite adequate.
  7. I appreciate both links since you can hear the demos at TT
  8. I have 3 iLoks and they don't ever move. As for flash drives I lose track of them. I do use their cloud on certain VSL libraries. As for PA they allow 3 installations. Not sure why anyone would think the "improvadongle" is a benefit with PA. 3 iLok authorizations are becoming more common. If Waves was like Melda with no machine limit I'd be happy to pay for WUP. They still have the worse licensing in the industry. They probably haven't recovered from the boneheaded move of a forced sub. They lead the league in race down to zero with their crap licensing. I doubt I'd ever buy Waves again. Their entry level bundles are hard to beat. I guess you can get away with that kind of licensing when you develop great stuff. They have to do their sales because there are smaller developers out there making great products.
  9. I also got a $50 voucher. Some of those presets are pricey.
  10. Most of that Izotope stuff can be gotten for free elsewhere. It's not the end of the world to nor have Izotopes lite versions. You have to realize Magix only does these deals with older software.
  11. so did I get a rompler or sampler? Can I import a wav file?
  12. I accidentally did too many clicks with Amazon pay. Now it's on one system and soon to be on the other 2. I guess there's no turning back now.
  13. I thought it was a 3 usually FL will crackle after that. I wonder if he would give out the flp and see if it happens to other users.
  14. How are the standard expansions that come with it? From what I understand those are the better ones.
  15. I think the highest I seen was 39,
  16. I'm gonna pass. (4 now) PRESETS4LIFE is where I'm at on everything. Meanwhile I'd probably spend close to that amount on another not needed orchestra type library. No Pay Pal.............saying no just got slightly easier.
  17. Most of Waves is finished. It's solid software only needing a paint job on older stuff. Their development and business model are complete opposites. Maybe that's why they have WUP. I'd bet some of the plugins bought years ago still work fine.
  18. Added "Create a Support File" feature in Help menu to assist Customer Care LOL if the issue is with Access Added feedback mechanism--Native Access will ask from time to time about your experience A tapestry of profanity ready
  19. Like next week..........got the update on 2 machines installed New presets not showing up in Analog Lab
  20. I think the amateur user isn't into sound design as much. Even with the popular synths they use presets. A lot has to do with genres of preference. The EDM person is more into doing a track. With so many using laptops these days there is the conscious of disk space. Also devoting time to learn these apps. Soundpaint is getting popular but the problem is bloat. Then if one wants to take even more time you could involve yourself in MSound Factory with the zillion options. I boils down to the type of music you are doing. Trying to avoid this purchase. If it were $149 that would be the nail in the coffin.
