  1. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes all the way to 33. The pace seems to have picked up since they extended it.
  2. That didn't work either. It works fine on 2 other systems. I usually download on one machine and the others are networked.
  3. I've always wondered what make a drum kit cinematic?
  4. Mine is broken on one system. I get this "well this is awkward". At least you can download your products from their site.
  5. These load quite well on a HDD.
  6. I wonder if they still disable the previous license on upgrades.
  7. For those who do dance genres two is enough for acoustic drums. I don't have the ears of drummer to know the difference between materials used in kits.
  8. I have to start looking at things from a financial point of view. Our shoes are much different as explained. My last build was a 9900K. It's more than enough. I bought all of the parts during the Covid lockdowns and couldn't build the same specs today at the price. As for PRS I still have an older Santana SE with a wide fat neck. If I were to put down some serious money it would be a PRS. I would have to justify my abilities to be worthy of one.
  9. Not always better either. There's a reason why the GTA and CoD games always sell. They are playable on most systems. I still fail to see the attraction of Fortnie other that is can be played on anything.
  10. Not a fan of auto update while a DAW is still running. I never use that in Live. Reaper is small enough where I don't need this.
  11. Nice that you chime in. I may get all of your plugins someday even though I don't need them. I like the no nonsense gui and willing to trust the end user with no authorization scheme and no installer. I also like you are willing to allow negative reviews on your site. Keep up with the youtube videos. I think that is great marketing. This was the first time I've ever come across this criticism.
  12. Yes and no. It's really bloated and iLok are the drawbacks. It might be worth the extra price to get it on their SSD. Anymore I have to factor in buying a SSD when it comes to large libraries. I hope it get it someday when SSDs come down in price.
  13. You wont find an IK fan club on KVR. I check KVR every day.
  14. If I build another budget system it will be one of those AMD 6 core, 65 Watt systems that comes with a cooler. With the insane cost of graphics cards I wouldn't rule out a CPU with it built in. Super duper systems are really nice for bragging rights and for those who rely on them for income but I haven't really starved out my older 4790. When you do this as a hobby somewhere you need to get a grasp knowing you aren't going to do 400 tracks but I guess it's there if you need it. It's like knowing you'll never be good enough at guitar to where you will play in front of people but yet get a high end PRS. There was a person on another forum who built a new system and spent more time running benchmarks instead of load the DAW and do what you normally do. Software development is not so great these days and some could put even high end systems to a crawl.
  15. LOL! The Waves of DAWs.
  16. You must be thinking of a different developer called Waves.
  17. I decided to remove many programs I never used. I wasn't paying attention with Revo and found out all of my plugins were removed but weren't uninstalled. That was good and bad since I wanted to remove stuff I don't use. I was surprised somehow I gained back 30gb of space. My Product managers said these were installed but no VST folder on my drive. The 2 worst product managers for me are Toontrack and Native Access. Well there is also Waves. Native Access - it's a crapshoot if a product update makes it. When it fails I know they have their own untinstaller but I usually open up the old Windows Installer Clean Up utility. You realize NI has an overkill of registry entries. Their installers are quite slow. Plus you don't have access to older installers in case something really goes bonkers unless you download one of the Komplete ISOs. They have yet to ditch most of the 32 bit versions of their plugins. If you delete those it will ask you to reinstall and some of those plugins can't be updated unless you install both 32 and 64. Toontrack - this is another one the enters a lot of registry code. Unfortunately I haven't been able to undo the mistakes. So far I can't reinstall EZ Drummer 2 becuase Windows Registry blocks it and does it in safe mode. I went through the usual search for fixes and so far I haven't been able to fix this registry problem. Odd that I could install the 32 bit but get this registry error for 64 bit. Oh but I couldn't uninstall it. So I've removed Toontrack off my system. I'm sure life can go on without it since I have BDF, Melda, XLN, Komplete, and UJAM. That is only for this secondary computer. There is no demo for EZD3 to see if I could install that. EZ Keys rarely gets used either. I might be done with Toontrack. It's annoying trying to find the reg key and attempt the special permissions nonsense. I like the VSL manager since you can remove the product and install again. Izotope does the same thing. I can also go online for the individual installer. Melda's is really nice if you have everything. Spitfire and Waves gets a thumbs down. Off course the Steinberg eco system I loath.

I like em ugly. They look great in Live.

    Bow to the king

If we avoided most of your posts and this section in general many of us would be further away from poverty. 😄
  20. Workflow. Bandlab and Reason are the slowest in scanning. It also eliminates choices of the same plugin in the menu.
  21. I learned the hard way to go with the physical iLok. I usually avoid developers who use iLok. VSL is the exception. Licensing is #1 on my list before buying.
  22. I'm doing it to reduce the amount of plugins if they are FX plugins. There are synths are still vst2.
  23. Here's the verdict. No, the software will not work anymore when the license runs out. And yes, the software will be disabled. As I mentioned you can get another license with included future updates afterwards. Easy pass.
