  1. Very well done (clear, focused, positive, etc.) set of explanations / demonstrations showcasing a whole lot of features Next offers.
  2. Welcome back, I think. In 2020 you wrote: Now you jump onto a thread from 2021 with: It seems you came back to complain about something not covered in the post from 2020. Why?
  3. As the OP stated: Also, please note that the OP hasn't been around since almost a year ago when the initial post was made. Please note, I voluntarily removed my posts because they addressed other high-contrast possibilities (i.e., non-100% Black and White solutions): I'd suggest if others are interested in requesting and/or discussing high-contrast themes, that is a a different topic.
  4. I didn't assume anything of the sort. If you took the time to read what the OP wrote: when you read what I wrote: you might have realized that I was simply verifying what the OP stated. That being said, I think it's fair to say that if something has worked continuously in Cakewalk/SONAR and suddenly no longer works in Cakewalk Sonar, it might be of interest for the developers to know that PSYN II didn't make the transition into Sonar. I made no assumptions about the cause; I made no assumptions about possible remedies.
  5. Since Cakewalk Sonar correctly picks up the presence of PSYN II, but fails to properly display the PSYN II's UI, it seems like a bug to me. If Cakewalk Sonar correctly displays the other legacy instruments, it seems to me it should also display PSYN IIs UI correctly.

  7. Glad you solved the issue. By the way, when I wrote this? and these? I was not asking, "Have you looked in this and these?" I was asking if this? and these? are the docs for your gear. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I looked through the first manual (this?) and didn't see anything that would help, so I looked for more manuals and wanted to know if I was looking at the correct manuals for your gear before reading through those, too.
  8. You tacked this on to a thread from 2019. Much has happened since 2019, especially in the past several months that affected TTS-1's inclusion in the current build of CbB (Cakewalk by Bandlab). See the following thread. If you have an older version of CbB, perhaps you can find TTS-1. Not sure if you only have a version after which TTS-1 was dropped. In either case, the 2024 thread would be a better place to ask for help than a 2019 thread.

    TTS-1 missing

  10. It's a shame we can't do multiple emoji's. I'd do a "Like" emoji for the much ado reference; a "Good idea" emoji for referring people to the FAQs; a "Thanks" emoji for choosing a relevant quote that those with blinders on seem to be missing (some intentionally so); and an "LMAO" emoji for the brilliant Bitcoin/Unicorn allusion that for me gets at the speculation / imagination some people are responding to instead of the facts.
  11. If you are serious, why don't you make an offer / suggestion to Bandlab (the owner)? JMO: opinions of users in a forum are meaningless for an issue like this. I cannot imagine anything good for anyone coming out of open sourcing Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  12. Are you talking about Discord in general or specific Servers? I ask because any of the Servers I was on were very targeted, even the ones I left after deciding they were not for me.
  13. Based on size alone, this matches the Roland.ins file I have from 2003. I have a larger one from 2009 and a slightly larger one from 2010. In my experience with other Cakewalk supplied *.ins files, later ones usually include the contents from the older files. Before people start collecting a new set of *.ins files (and maybe overwriting larger, later, more inclusive ones), maybe someone should should check the newer *.ins files against the new old ones being posted. PS: If someone wants to do a comprehensive comparison of older *.ins files with newer ones, I also have a Roland.ins file from 1998.
  14. The E-Mu file is at least 2 decades old. E-Mu user groups since then used to have a contributed ins file that included definitions for all of the P2K Sound ROMs. Not sure if newer E-Mu user groups archived those, but they are available. Also, there are some P2K / Command Station editor / librarians that can generate *.ins files--useful for User Banks.
  15. Recovering GASaholics! Once a GASaholic, always a GASaholic. Best to just stay away! 😛
  16. I saw it there and commented. There's no harm in having it in multiple places. There are some people who don't go to the Deals Section or The Coffee House. As you note, there are some who would benefit from CCLarry calling this video to their attention. Also, the Coffee House and Deals Forum often go into tangents which are appropriate in those forums, but might be a distraction from the value of Mike's tutorial in a Cakewalk forum. To me competition over who posted a deal first is an appropriate Coffee House topic. By the same token, sometimes someone will post a video in the Tutorial sub forum that might not be noticed by other Cakewalk users.
  17. I like that he goes over features that I don't usually use / haven't explored, but might now that I see he pointed them out. Also, nice that he highlights some of the new features. Glad to see the content is about Cakewalk's features and not secondary to his personal preferences for another DAW.
  18. Thanks for the clarification. BTW I don't think your math is "f-ed up" at all. I do a very similar comparative thing with IK. If I have already paid multiple times to "own" 90-95% of a bundled set of products and someone owns just one of those, their cost per new product is a very tiny percent of my cost per product I don't have. For X units of currency, I might get 4-5 products I don't already have, but for the same amount of money, others get 150+ products they don't already have. Therefore the deal is worth more (i.e., more valuable) to others than to me who already paid 2 to 3 times as much for the products. So, to me, it's brilliant, sound consumer-oriented logic! 😉 And it helps me to not spend money that could be better spent!
  19. The last I checked, Ultimate Bundles for Third-Party Voltage Modular developers also include new modules at no extra charge. There are only a few developers that have Ultimate Bundles and also make new modules (I counted three), but this is another precedent to including new modules. In addition, some third-party VM developers have smaller targeted bundles (which are included in the Ultimate Bundle) and when new modules are added, they also get added at no extra charge to the respective lesser bundles, much like Melda does. KV331 Audio does the the same thing with their Synthmaster Everything Bundle. One of the hard lessons I've learned is that similar bundle labels from various companies that might imply some sort of completeness do not have similar consumer-oriented practices. JMO: It is a great service that forum members provide by helping others to see this. "Consumers of the World, Unite!!!"
  20. Not sure I understand your situation. If the only thing you added to V Collection 9 was Acid V and your upgrade price is now 99 instead of 199, you got a 100 off.
  21. V Collection 9 Upgrade from V Collection 9 to the V Collection X $299 V Collection 9 Upgrade to the V Collection X $199 Two offers for me. Not sure what the difference is between the two, but they are both beyond my budget. I think maybe the $299 offer is from V Collection 9, and the $199 is from V Collection 9. 😜
  22. From what I have seen there are a number of reasons covering a wide range of motives. But I'm saving up my thoughts for an April Fools' Day post. ðŸĪŠ
