    Out Of Tune

By any chance are you using MIDI? If so, perhaps there is a pitch bend command in there some place. Recently one of my usb keyboards has started to kick out some random pitch bend commands (verified by looking at the output with MIDI-OX). If the pitch slippage is with audio, someone else might have some ideas for you.
  2. I remember participating in a thread on a similar concern. IIRC the misunderstanding came about because it was assumed that "key change markers" (using your phrase) change the MIDI data automatically. In short (again relying on my memory), when you change the key you are changing the number of sharps and flats as they would be displayed on a staff, not the notes themselves. Not missing something obvious, just not understanding what Insert Meter/Key Change does and not understanding what Insert Marker does. Maybe I am missing it, too, but I don't recall seeing any interaction between these and MIDI note data. In addition to the reference guide, online documentation, and the help module, perhaps the following thread will help fill in the gaps in your personal knowledge: PS: As for Markers, if you look in the Help Module when you choose Insert Marker, there's a brief blurb. Also, there's a [Help] button in the Insert Marker Dialog. There's also an online documentation page. As for Pitch Markers and Groove Clips, see the discussion below. Also, some links to online documentation: Midi Groove Clips, Using Pitch Markers in Track View.
  3. Yes, I thought of that as one possible option, but having multiple tracks using multiple controllers all set to omni can cause problems depending on what the OP will be doing later on.
  4. I have done this using different midi tracks pointed to the same destination (one for a usb keyboard and another for a korg nanokontrol).
  5. For the Archive button the former 5-cell strip is now an 8-cell strip.
  6. Another option is to rollback to a previous version while the problem is being sorted out.
  7. AAS's Player + Swatches (free sound pack) has some guitars that might meet your needs.
  8. If by latest version you are talking about the Early Access build, you might want user the rollback installer until @Matthew White has a chance to fix all his themes based on the newly announced change.
  9. I just updated from EA build 91 to EA build 93 and had the exact same issue. The image strip for the Archive button changed size. It went from 5 button states to 8 button states. According to discussions in the forum (from what I read), if a custom theme uses the older strip, the theme needs to be update. If a custom theme hasn't over written the default via the theme editor, there is no need to update that image element. Others can correct me if this is not accurate.
  10. Did the dimensions of the Theme > Track View > Track Pane > Archive strip change? If so, would that make a visual difference when an older 5-cell button element [Width = 110] is used in theme as compared with the new 8-cell element [Width = 176]? Or are you saying the compatibility checker doesn't flag changes in image dimensions?
  11. Just a thought: For those that do not have these MTurbo plug-ins, since the bundle is time limited, this might be a good time to try these out and then decide to put away up to $363 to use towards a bundle that includes these. JMO: For me the v15 style panels plus the device list makes these modules more user friendly. Disclosure: I took advantage of a 60% off bundle that includes these several months ago.
  12. Nice to see that you are making some updates to your handy tools. Will the algorithm (log v. linear) be switchable? Are you moving in the direction of selectable curves? Just wondering.
  13. Nice feature to know about. I can think of situations where I might want to have the Inspector showing one track or bus while doing things with others. Thanks for raising the issue and for all the comments that led to the solution.
  14. FWIW: I was able to get the padlock on the right side (between the workspace and the window controls).
  15. In case the product criteria wasn't clear. Also, I had someone check with multiple accounts and free choices and similar do enable the discount. Just to be clear, I am not planning to get M/B 2, but I checked last night just out of curiosity. I "own" all of the M/B 1 gear (according to both the custom shop app and my notes). I added M/B 2 to the cart and went to check out to see if there was an automatic coupon like some people were saying. I also tried exiting my account and then logging back in as some have suggested. At no point did a $20 coupon show up in the cart. I have concluded that there must be some hidden rules (unstated stipulations) that prevent some people from getting the automatic coupon. BUT WAIT!!!! I just tried it again, and this time there was a $20 coupon!!!!! So, if someone says they didn't get the coupon, I believe them. If IK later changes the website/store and the person suddenly gets a coupon, maybe that just means that the hidden rules/unstated stipulations got changed.
  16. "only paid versions . . . qualify for the discount" - this might be true and if so, it might not just exclude "freebies" but also components of other bundles. For example, if some one has all of the BM1 gear that was paid for as p[art of a purchased bundle, the rules might also exclude the discount. In my experience (based largely in part from getting involved with IK's GB25), the confusion over rules, pricing schemes, etc. is not unintentional. It seems entirely possible that it is part of IK's marketing strategy. Let the consumer beware.
  17. The way I read the post, the TBH was for the implementation of a paid subscription.
  18. I could be wrong, but a subscription-based model for Cakewalk seems to me like an about face with gale storm head winds blowing much unpleasantness.
  19. The theme editor is useful for editing colors and images, not text-based fonts.
  20. Thanks for the replies; the reasoning makes sense. With TS2MAX I opted for the usb drive because the forum buzz was that downloads took a long time (slow server + huge GBs worth of stuff IIRC); plus, I am sure I downloaded everything "just in case." Nevertheless shortly after kitekrazy's reply, I decided rather than just let them rot in cyberspace, I'd select some triplicates of different things. Hindsight is 20-20 and I decided a week or so ago that rather to pay $250 to upgrade to TS3.5MAX for 90-95% duplicates, I'd prefer to add music products to my software arsenal from other companies--great deals based on already purchased products and in one case getting a nice credit in exchange for duplicates on top of the BF special offer!! Now that Syntronik 2 is out, I am not sure its worth $40 in transfer fees to transfer Syntronik (sell or give away) + the Syntronik Deluxe Upgrade (the ones I paid for). But who knows, maybe someone will be giving away Win 10 PCs for a song and a dance in a few years and some extra licenses will come in handy to set up dedicated Syntronik boxes. 😜 Seriously, before the pandemic I was working on setting up an outdoor music installation with possible interactions by passersby; so if it ever becomes safe again, low cost disposable PCs + no cost Syntronik licenses might be the way to go. As for the IK GB, I am now done!! 🤓
  21. I thought about doing this, but I don't understand why one might need multiple copies. Is it to extend the number of authorizations for replacement computers over the years? To get downloads you forgot to save in the first place?
