I'll just echo all the above, anxious to hear more. Great drum track! ?'s t

Good chorus on this one John, although a little sad. Well done! t

Exactly. Are you playing chords here, or is it a "patch" that a single note gives you a chord? (and trust me, I get the "playing with my thumbs", I'm not a keyboardist, nor am I an "arranger") I would try for a little more "motion" in the "pad", and again not being an "arranger" I can't be more specific... As to the "second" guitar. Use the "dim solo" to play it against the mix, its just a couple of spots were it sticks out a bit to me; again a very minor thing. A little automation on that track maybe. (just a note, when I listen to Get Back, there's a guitar in there, George maybe?, that misses a change. As far as I know I'm the only one who ever noticed or mentions it...)

That was beautiful Barry; well done! Its hard to criticize, but that's what you want so here goes... I hear what I believe are open strings in one of the guitars that are just "loud" (0:43 on the time line for instance), minor thing really but I went back to be sure what I was hearing; found it a bit distracting (again minor thing). The string pad in the right can is a bit "static", again a minor thing, but you asked for "critical" so that's my 6 bits... t As always tremendous piece of storytelling. You know how I am with song length, and seeing it was 5 plus minutes I thought "oh boy". BUT, it was perfect, you used that 5+ to tell your story; wouldn't change a thing... ?'s

I was thinking Springsteen myself. Good stuff Lee! t it has been a weird year, I look back and see my lack of productivity, so I get where you're coming from on that front. but Better Weather is here; right? ?

You've knocked it out of the park once again Nigel. ?'s ?'s t almost 14k views, very cool... that you on the male vocal?

I'll see your Shaky Jake and raise you a I Don't Need No Doctor! Marriot is undoubtedly one of the top ten British vocalists of all time... t

D'Addario Half Rounds on all the electrics in the studio (Flat Tops on the acoustics). If I were playing out, regular round wounds; they're shot at the end of the night anyway... t

She is now "all in", and reminds us both we should trust their (Terri's and Monica's) constructive criticism! t

Your explanation notwithstanding, I do agree with Nigel the wide spread on the guitar and keys is a bit disconcerting. Its not the way I would mix it, However, it IS your tune, your production! I'm all in on the "grit" in the vocal chain, I think it works well in this tune. So ?'s (read that as 2 big thumbs up) from me, cause overall I loved it! t

this fool bows to the man with the mic in his hand! Well done Jesse! t

Much better balance now. (my wife still votes to pull the drum buss down a bit; its a "taste" thing at this point; IMHO) I'm goin' all in ?? 's t

Is it the response of the "mono cube" itself, or just the act of mixing in mono? t (sorry to hijack your thread Baps, or Am I?)

Have you run the demo? Thoughts? t

Not sure it evoked "light speed" to me, but maybe there is a sort of serene quality to it (warp 1 I mean). The beat under it all made me of Pink Floyd (not a bad thing a t'all). Really liked the bass line (the whole thing really, but really cool bass line). ?'s for sure. t

On the 990's here, it seems a bit low mid heavy. Could be my ears, a little "congested" here (allergies). Like Freddy, I too hear this as a good "cue". As always, really enjoy your work. t

Not sure which mix I'm listening to. The snare is a bit hot (IMHO). Kick still needs some work (definition). Maybe a bit more "presence" on the bass. Where's the piano? Strong performances as always! Please don't "hate" me; I'd lose the CB-1 cans for mixing. I'll get me hat... t you know I love your work

Old School Rocker to be sure; ?'s to that (obviously)! Some good advice above, so my nickel98 is; "Lather, Rinse, Repeat"! t
