More great stuff Peter! Big πŸ‘'s from me. t How fast are you burning through G strings on that acoustic? I've had 'em separate into little "blocks" of windings between changes.
  2. Always enjoy your work Fred, a big πŸ‘'s from me. t I actually checked out the Creative Commons link, interesting...
  3. I've been trying to tame the Jam Origin Midi Guitar, without a doubt the PRV is your friend. Cool groove on this one! πŸ‘ t the landscape looks a bit more Utah-New Mexico to me πŸ™ƒ
  4. Really liking the groove on this one John. πŸ‘'s t btw, welcome back
  5. I'm going with a πŸ‘. How much compression is on the overheads, that cymbal in the left can seems a bit squished. Not a "crit" really, just a question. t little "loose" at the end, but a common rock thing; again not a crit...
  6. I'm "dog paddling" as fast as I can.... πŸ‘ t is it too late to sneak this on the "great" 28 album?

    ON MY WAY

Really felt the emotion in your performance; well done! The verb on the track really pulled the whole mix together; another well done! πŸ‘'s t IF you were looking for suggestions, I'd say raise the vocal a couple of db. But that's probably just my tired ears talkin'; pay no attention, I never do...
  8. Well done Gary! πŸ‘'s t I must say Bing's a tough act to follow, not sure (actually I am sure, if I'm honest with myself) I'd have the cajones to tackle this one... πŸ™ƒ
  9. Actually, I pulled the trigger. t @cclarrythis doesn’t count as a BF or CM purchase; right? πŸ™ƒ

    Crave

Certainly not "easy listening", but indeed as stated above a very easy listen. Definitely Kirby, but a little more laid back. I've suggested more high pass on the acoustic before? (pretty sure; right?) Only bring it up because I think the Guild is sitting nicely in this one. πŸ‘'s you never fail to deliver... t

    Clipping

The simple answer is no. Any plug-in would be after the β€œclip”. Use an analog compressor to control the level, or set the gain low enough to avoid the clipping. Two schools of thought in the modern age. With 24 bits of headroom, and the low self noise of modern hardware, most just set the gain low enough to avoid clipping. Being of a certain age, I prefer to compress on the way in. Take your choice. tom
  12. I'm in with a πŸ‘'s. t
  13. James, there was a member awhile back, who had posted some mix work he had done. I believe he was looking for projects. You'll have to search back a ways. I did a quick look and didn't find it. Sorry I don't remember his name or the bands, strikes me there were two at least. tom
  14. I think perhaps you spoiled us with the 28 days Jesse, most of those tunes had some verse chorus structure. But as Zappa said, you hang your art on the wall; there's plenty of critics who will let you know if its any good. Cacophonicly yours, t oh, I almost forgot the πŸ‘
  15. I think the ping pong on the Wulri was making them dizzy! I'm beyond that now, back in my chair and going with a πŸ‘'s Wooks. t
  16. Our 'ol Pal Dog House Riley? He's been on the forum a bit. t
  17. One is the VST2 and one is the VST3 instance? Insert both and check, exclude the one you don’t want. tom My bad, I see duplicates in the drop down when I insert effects, caused by having both the VST2 and VST3 enabled. On the phone, I didn't see that you were having issues with a VSTi... sorry guys!
  18. More autobiography Barry? The bridge have a little Dire Straits vibe, anyone? I like it Barry, well written, well performed; as always... t my guess is you'll fuss with the mix a bit more, no specific suggestions here.
  19. My name is Tom and I am a GASaholic, useless and weak. I must confess that when I saw the EVO 2TB's on sale for $199 that was a kind of "no brainer" deal. I could/would have said no, but Amazon offered 10% back if purchased on my Amazon Rewards Card. 2tb EVO 860 for $180, I couldn't say no... t I should be ashamed, but I'm NOT! 😎
  20. Nothing, Not A G D Thing! Hoping I can avoid GAS on through cyber moonday..... t
  21. We can only hope! Nice use of the B3 on this one; I'm liking that for sure. πŸ‘'s t kinda makes me think you are changeling your inner Springsteen...
  22. Very pretty and delicate Bjorn. The 2 (or "9" if you prefer) works good in that scale as well. BB used the 2 and 6 to great effect with the minor 3rd (although the trick is to push that flat 3 sharp just a bit). Kind of "sweetens" up the "blues" scale (the 2 and 6, the "sharp" minor 3rd; well that's the blue note). πŸ‘ t
