  1. Didn't know that there was 48.83 MB attachment limit, thanks for info.
  2. Internal is and probably always will be considerably faster. Data transfer will go as fast as the slowest device or bus in the chain • the source disk • the interfaces over which the data is moving • the destination disk External interface/connection types: Thunderbolt • Thunderbolt 3 and 4 support speeds up to 40Gbps. • Thunderbolt 2 supports speeds up to 20Gbps. USB-C • USB 4 supports speeds up to 40Gbps. • USB 3.1 supports speeds up to l0Gbps. USB-A • USB 4 supports speeds up to 40Gbps. • USB 3.1 supports speeds up to 10 Gbps. • USB 3.0 supports speeds up to 5 Gbps. • USB 2 supports speeds up to 480Mbps. • USB1 supports speeds up to 12Mbps. Firewire (6 Gbps) Any system that supports either USB 3.0 or higher can easily handle the 900 to 1025Mbps that the drives mention in this thread are capable of. In actual situations, many of these max speeds are rarely achieved.
  3. Whenever I try to paste an image to a post I get the message: You are only allowed to upload 10.24kB Use to be able to past image into a post, I'm guessing that there was a policy change? Or am I not doing something in the right manner?
  4. Agreed. It's faster, $40 cheaper & has better warranty. I pulled the trigger and bought one.
  5. Looks like a nice deal. Might make a good drive to hold my Kontakt libs. Anyone have one of these? Edit: Comparing listed specs WD_BLACK 2TB D30: Up to 900MBS $169 Samsung T5 Portable (2TB): Up to 540MBS $209
  6. SSL 360 download link: SSL 360° Release Notes – SSL Support (solidstatelogic.com) Not sure how I previously missed this.
  7. I'm only seeing E/G curves... From website - "You can switch between the legendary E-series and G-series EQ profiles for added flexibility."
  8. Not seeing the 360 as an included piece... From what I see searching around the web it's free but requires hardware to work or am I missing something?
  9. Try the demo https://www.robpapen.com/Predator-3-demo.html and make sure you like the synth. 6,000 presets mean nothing if you don't like the texture of its sound or if it has problems on your system. I'm not saying there's anything wrong or lacking in Papen's synth or his presets. Indeed Albino, one of his old endeavors (well 1/2 his), is still one of my favorites. But presets counts only mean something if the selection is well curated as it's not hard for a programmer to whip up a random preset generator and create thousands of presets.
  10. Can only have PW in cart for code to work. A freebie (not necessarily the one you think) will show up with your purchased items.
  11. Nice, but at $549.00 can't personally justify it at the moment.
  12. At the moment going for $99 at multiple dealers Arturia MiniLab MkII 25 Slim-key Controller | Sweetwater
  13. Fixed VST & VST3 automation not recording properly in some hosts (Cubase 11, Ableton Live).
  14. Most guitar players have spent more than the price Seaboard Rise 2 on a single guitar let alone the cost of the gear it takes to use it or record it.
  15. Almost makes me wish I was a keyboard player instead of a guitar player...
  16. Just in case you're wondering what the hell the AX73 is: https://www.martinic.com/en/products/ax73-plus
  17. So many questions. Among them... Will the native plugins ONLY be available via subscription or will permanent licenses be available. if you have native versions will you get free (or discounted) UAD versions - or vice versa. and for the majority of this forum's membership. When will permanent licenses be sold for $29
  18. Re: WUP - I always thought BARF would be a better acronym (Basic Audio Renewal Financing) and it would match the taste left in your mouth after making a payment.
  19. and the subscription looks like a lite variation of Komplete Select. You only get a partial subset of that library (with a couple different items included) but every month they will add something new. I guess that way they can probably string you along for several years before they run through the current content. Like Adobe once your subscription ends you own nothing*. *I could be wrong but that's how I'm interpreting the following quote from their KOMPLETE-NOW web page:
  20. Looks like v2 is to support their subscription mode - see left side menu, item under Library. and here (link below) is NA's subscription page. Service is called KOMPLETE-NOW (yup ,spelled all in caps) : https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/komplete/komplete-now/ $9.99 a month 100% not interested but YMMV.
  21. Heavyocity has had a download manager for quite a while, they're on v2.x now. Per Heavyocity's website: "FOUNDATIONS is a line of professional-quality free instruments, designed to inspire the next generation of film, TV, and game scores." So similar to Spitfire Audio Lab, I guess. I have no beef with free professional-quality instruments.
  22. Just spitballing, but probably because it gives you more control over the login & installation process and thus better hacker protection. It's easier & faster to change code on the server than to redistribute installers. I'm seeing more of this kind of thing as time goes on...
  23. My bad, missed that this was an update not a new release 😳 Changed thread title to reflect actual nature of release.
