  1. The only thing I can think of is that you had multiple tracks selected or the clip you were adding the notes to was a linked clip. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Arranging.33.html
  2. What I do is promote the take I want, swipe across it or double click it , then drag the promoted take, which is now the audio that appears in the track , and then drag that track to anther track. When you drag a take lane to another track it will show up in a take in the new track. You might have to expand the track take lanes where you dragged the take to see it. https://wavetronix-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/p/rstjohn/EXY4kNKvLPxNmw0mWoZq5BEBXJOAIcp5k-ChAnN15th_eg?e=I6bEGb
  3. I love when they send you a cool new update that then crashes their web page. I can wait till it calms down a bit. First installers always find a few glitches anyway
  4. Could it be that what you are seeing is the VST scan not that they are being loaded?
  5. Please check out the tutorials section of this forum for how to setup your audio devices. You could also check out the documentation Depending on the driver used by your USB mic you will have to pick an appropriate driver mode for Cakewalk to use in the Preferences. If Windows is using that device as well you have to pick a driver mode that can "share" the device like WASAPI shared.
  6. You can just promote the take you want, or pieces of many takes, by swiping across the desired take with the smart tool as well. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.48.html
  7. In the history of Cakewalk, pre-gibson to post-gibson, Cakewalk has never been a top DAW for plugin developers to test for compatibility. I guess there are just too many DAWs and companies have to pick the ones they want to test against. All the plugins I have wanted to use have just worked so I have not worried about it.
  8. Check your master bus. Your tracks are outputting to a master bus. Make sure it has its interleave button set to stereo. As you pan the channels see if the meters indicate the panning.
  9. There is a feature request sub-forum where these usually go. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  10. I would contact Cakewalk Support (Support@cakewalk.com) to see if they can help you. Did you move the project from one disk to another? Could it be that the copied the audio but not the project file?
  11. Probably not. The plugins have to expose their parameters in standard ways to be compatible with standards and other DAWS. This may be possible with newer VST standards but Sonitus is a bit old.
  12. Are you using sends to the bus or are the channels outputs sent to the bus? According the the signal flow chart in the documentation the effects in the effects bin should always be sent out.
  13. Here are a few things to try. Bypass all FX by using the control module . Turn on and off the Pro Channel on the track that is pegging. I had this issue a few times in the past and it was due to a pro-channel module. Other then that we would need to know the details of the audio interface you have and what driver mode(s) you have tried.
  14. MP3's use compression techniques that make specifying them different then plain wave files. Take a look at what an audio editor (GoldWave) offers. You can specify the sample rate and the bit rates but not the bit depth. The bit depth is determined by the quality of the bit rate, Higher bit rate is better but takes more space and bandwidth.
  15. Bitbridge is a program to allow 32 bit plugins to work in your 64 bit host. These are most likely the problem in trying to replace them. Only fix i know is to use different, 64bit, synths or instead of replace, add the new synth, copy over the midi and then delete the old one.
  16. You could go into preferences and untick the midi devices? Don't know of any simple way though.
  17. See if there is a crash dump that you can look at and send to Cakewalk Support. Also, You can try loading the project in Safe Mode (hold shift key while opening file) to see which plug-in is causing the issue.
  18. I kind of gave up on Bias stuff. It sounded ok but the UI was slow to load and I would spend too much time tweaking tubes etc. There is so much competition in the amp sim area that I just found a few I like and know how to use and stick with those mostly.
  19. I am sure someone will be along shortly that either has this controller or understands the controller setup better then I do. In the meantime, forum member @azslow3, has made a patch of the cakewalk control surface api that is very flexible. https://www.azslow.com/index.php/board,3.0.html However, there should be a Mackie Control driver selectable when you make a control surface. can you include some screen shots of what you are doing and what you see?
  20. Ardor is actually the base of what Harrison Mixbus is based off of. You will notice the correlation of recent mixbus features with releases in Ardour.
  21. We are going to need a bit more information. When you play it back in Cakewalk do you hear it in both the L and R sides? Do your master bus meters show signal in both sides?
  22. I have the 88 key LX+. It works good. One thing it does not do is switch between controlling the busses and the tracks.
