midi keyboard is recording and playing back to only one side of headset
reginaldStjohn replied to marieal gaines's question in Q&A
More important question is what are you using for an audio device to record and playback? This sounds like you are recording a mono signal to a stereo track. Toggle the track interleave button. I would suggest you watch some of the beginning tutorials in the tutorials forum and/or look at the documentation which has a few getting started tutorials as well. -
Are there any other ASIO drivers installed on your system? If so uninstall them. Is this device your default Windows audio device as well? If it is you will have to make sure that windows settings and your project settings are the same, Or, don't use this audio device as the windows default audio device.

How to delete Magman BB Tubes Stereo from Cakewalk
reginaldStjohn replied to Steve B's topic in Instruments & Effects
Find the VST file (dll, vst3 extension) and delete it from you hardrive. Or, if there is an un-installer in "Add Remove Programs" uninstall it from there -
Ample Guitar VST3 pitch bending not working

Pitch bend is also dependent on the settings of the VSTi so check Ample Guitar for what pitch bend should do. -
Recycle Plugins on a Second Monitor
reginaldStjohn replied to noynekker's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It could be that the window you have on your second monitor is just another window to cakewalk or windows so when you open a new window all the others go to the back? -

Groove quantize won't apply to full track
reginaldStjohn replied to Seamus O'Sullivan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think he is saying that the groove clip from which the groove is coming needs to be as long as the clip your going to apply the groove to. I don't use this feature so I would have to point you to the documentation. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Dialogs2.001.html -

Are all the notes in one clip or multiple clips? Select all clips and bounce them into one clip. -

Yes, It is a problem with midi input and midi output. Make sure that the midi tracks really are outputting to two different instances of Komplete Kontrol. Make sure that the two instances of the plugin are using different midi channels or that the midi input is not set to omni or none. Check that Komplete Control is not set to output midi. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Beginners.06.html

Toontrack Holiday Week Day 1: Seventies Rock EZX €36
reginaldStjohn replied to pseudopop's topic in Deals
From my understanding all the EZX and SDX come with midi packs as part of the instrument. When they release a midi pack with a similar name as the EZX it has new midi files in it -
First off, This is probably not the correct forum section to post a question, this is the tutorials section. However, You may need to clarify some things. When you play the project do any of the meters move showing audio is flowing through the system? Are you getting a warning of some kind? IF the meters are moving then you have audio in your project it just isn't getting out to your audio interface. Please include the following: Audio interface being used Driver Mode Screenshot of your audio preferences

When you use your bluetooth headphones it probably changed the default audio device in windows. If using a windows driver mode (WASAPI) you have to make sure that the sample rate is the same for windows and cakewalk.

The new Helix driver, can't remember the version #, has a bug with Cakewalk. You have to uninstall it and use the previous older version. If this doesn't fix your problem then you might have a different issue.

DAW slows down when running Neutron Visual Mixer
reginaldStjohn replied to Mo Jonez's question in Q&A
I have seen this before, not necessarily with Neutron, but some plugins use not only CPU cycles but also Graphics that can slow the display update rate of Cakewalk down. Is it slow only when the Neutron UI is up? -
Muted audio versus muted midi - different visually?
reginaldStjohn replied to Salvatore Sorice's question in Q&A
I understand what your confusion is but think I know what is going on. When you play back the track do you hear the "muted" audio? The parent track, for audio at least, isn't just a sum of all the take lanes. It only has what you promoted to it. if you "swipe" across the bottom part of your 2nd take I bet the parent track will not show the muted audio. The parent track probably has a combination of both take lanes in it, did you record on "sound on sound" mode?, and then you muted part of the 1st take, This doesn't update the parent track because it only represents the takes that you promote. Swipe across the 2nd take and you should see the parent track represent what is in the 2nd take lane. As your noticing, for midi tracks, this behavior might be different. -
Tried it, It said it was only valid for the first 2500 customers?

I am pretty sure you can have multiple articulations but they have to not be dependent. When you create the articulation maps you specify which ones are exclusive and which ones can be independent by creating different group,. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.51.html

Muted audio versus muted midi - different visually?
reginaldStjohn replied to Salvatore Sorice's question in Q&A
Are you sure in your midi example that the clip showing in the track is actually not selected for the track? What I mean is that when you are comping you don't actually mute notes or audio you promote the piece of the take lane you want to be in your track by swiping, with the smart tool, in the bottom part of the take lane you want. it will then split the take into a clip where you did the swipe and promote that part of that take to the track and disable all other takes in that time range. They appear different but are not really muted, just not going to play in the current track. If you just mute audio and midi notes then the takes that are active then they are still part of the track just individually muted. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.57.html
