  1. Yep. Still working too. For those that don't know ^^^ this is the process. You will have to go through the payment method , like Larry points out above, before the code can be entered. At that point everything in your cart gets slashed 50% off!! However, I picked up the HSU cab set and was offered RVXX for half price $17 (it's not on sale right now) and when I went to check out, that amp was still $17 after I applied the code. So be mindful of that. Seems the code (AA-BF-22) only works for some things.
  2. Yes I would have to agree. Recently during BF and the "extended" BF sales continued I made the assumption that it would still be on sale. So with the sale price and the code, it would be a good deal. That's how I got mine. Looking at the website tells me I was wrong about that assumption. Thanks for pointing that out Brian.
  3. Well, seems I missed the part about the code being for A particular plugin!! I tried to use it on many plugins!! My Bad!!
  4. Ok. I went to Hornets website, got a few plugins I been looking at. Go to checkout and use the Advent code..... and it says it's expired!! Today is the 10th ain't it?!!
  5. Audio Assault has a good ir called Air IR. You can pick up some good ir from them for cheap. If that code still works tomorrow I may get some more.
  6. I have thought that many times.
  7. I can't wait to try it with my guitar amp!!! That was the first Apollo I had. I have it sitting on the floor in my music room. Not sure if I will get rid of it or not. I am presently using a Apollo Twin X Quad (two mic/line inputs) (four cpu). The USB has the same two inputs but only two cpu. The Thunderbolt also has better routing options with regard to inside the box.
  8. Yes those are some good prices. I have updated my Everything Pak every year since 2017 by doing the Plus Pak. On this site you linked to, I don't see a Plus Pak. What would I need from her to keep current?
  9. Neither have I. And when it came out I was really gonna learn it!! Haven't touched it yet.
  10. A friend, indeed!! I should also say that after that "great deal" I jumped into the UAD system head first and haven't looked back!! I got a Octo Satellite (from ebay - caught a good deal on that too!), then a Octo card from another friend along with some great plugins I didn't have (it was also a great deal). I then went "all out" and bought a Apollo Twin X Quad Thunderbolt 3 from ProStar Audio. It was a brand new unit that was a "open box" item and got that at a reasonable discount. So once I knew what I wanted, I started looking and kept my eye open to deals. I think I got real lucky actually. Then, in keeping with my streak of luck, I happened upon a brand new Townsend Mic for a great price. Much lower than the asking price and below what I could get it used from ebay/reverb. So, all the plugins I have I never paid the full asking price. The only thing I want from UAD now is maybe a couple of the Marshall guitar amps. I have almost all the channel strips and eq's. You gotta do like Zo says and just sit and wait for the right sale. Larry taught me that! And to be honest, the sound I get when tracking with the Unison tech has really changed the way I record. It's been an investment I don't regret.
  11. Yep. Just the preamp. No eq. Wonderful.
  12. I never wanted to get into the UAD eco system. Too much money. I got a great deal on an USB Apollo and the plugins came with it. The first time I used the Unison tech to record some vocals I was hooked. Used the API Vision channel... sweet. I don't want to record without it now. And just like Tommy, I now commit more to takes than I did in the past. My fav has to be the Lexicons. Both are excellent. That API Vision channel strip is nice too. Tommy is also correct about that Helios. Love it on my guitar.
  13. Yeah I watched the whole thing too. Minnie Riperton was fantastic. Unbelievable voice. I always loved that song.
  14. Yep. Went to the First Day of RnR in the Dome and the sound was awful where we were sitting.
  15. That U2 show was around 92-93!!
  16. Reminds me of the time I saw U2 in NOLA at the Superdome (Can seat 74k, more if you count the floor). Couldn't have been no more than 7k -8k there. Very few in the seats. Almost everybody there was on the floor. Third Eye Blind was opening act. They rock a lot harder live than they do on the record. And U2 came out and put on a show I was not expecting. I gotta give 'em that. The Edge, Clayton, and Mullen can rock. Really rock. Yeah, and Bono was there. He did put on a fantastic show, despite the very sparse crowd.
  17. Yep. Just told somebody I was tapping out unless a great deal came around. Well, then this showed up!!
  18. To me, that's the one of the best grooves ever laid down!! Every time I hear it I got to dance!! Cameo had it going on!! Even this Korn version rocks!!
  19. My wife is a huge Steve Nicks fan. And I always told her that Christine sounded better. We saw FleetwoodMac in NOLA and had third row seats off to the left of the band. Right in front of Christine!! On a side not Mike Campbell replaced Lindsey by this time and man did he do an excellent job. I could understand why Stevie wanted to be in The Heartbreakers. RIP girl.
  20. LastPass user here for years. Agree with everything Andy said about a password manager too.
  21. I had an iPhone 3. Immediately I realized what a 'closed' OS was. Never had or used an Apple pc. Never wanted to after the iPhone 3 especially. So I got a Windows phone! Great phone. Great OS (for the time). Worst support in cell phone history. So when that phone no longer worked (Samsung BlackJack), I believed again and bought another Windows phone! I was assured that they would not abandon this OS! They bought Nokia (maker of the best cell phone ever, the first Lumia) and drove that company into the ground before they abandoned that Windows phone altogether. Talk about opportunity squandered. And now I have a Samsung S10. It's alright. And at work we have some kind of iPhone. I looked in the 'About' screen to see which iPhone it is. All it's got is a long model number. It's reminded me why I don't want anymore Apple products. I just ain't gelling with it at all.
  22. I had no interest in computer's when I was coming up. None whatsoever. Until I started reading about them being used for recording audio. That got my attention.
  23. I remember them!! That was a nice setup if you had it. A lot.of the stuff we had was lift the top, stick a record on it, and those rectangle speakers on the side. Then we got a good console stereo. The record player would fold down in the front, and the nice speakers was on each side. Sounded nice. Wasn't allowed to play it. But we did!!
  24. Enjoyed that immensely. Love that pure sound.
