This genre isn't my cup of tea but this is expertly recorded and mixed. Very nice indeed.

I have no idea what the back story is to this but I've done the exact same thing to help me through difficult times. Nice job.

Hi Andy, everyone knows that it's Meghan that wears the trousers ? Yes those are my fists of ham on the lead guitar. I'd play better if I knew how to use more than two fingers on the fretboard. One day perhaps. Yes I agree, the mix needs some attention and I'm on it. Thanks for the feedback ?

I fancied doing a bit of a blues tune in 6/4 time, so I started with a working title of "Her Blues" (as in "Yer Blues"). So then it came to needing lyrics, and I'd warmed to the idea of the song being about a woman with some "blues". By the time I'd finished them I realised they were about Prince Harry's husband Meghan - someone who loves to tell you how bad her life is even though it isn't, the kind of person you'd hate to be stuck in a lift with. So the first verse (damn, that's two sentences I've started with "so") has the narrator warning someone else to avoid her by making an excuse and walking away from her, and in the second verse it's me walking away from her, and you'd better not get in my way ? I've had three played so far, but there's about another 15 that they didn't like enough, so keep plugging away.

This was featured on BBC Radio Cumbria's "Introducing" programme last night. FF to 1:05:55 for my bit. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0f1kw84

No secret Tom, I sing each part twice and pan one left and the other right, that way I figure they won't clutter up the centre where the lead vocal is, plus is gives (me) a nice sensation in the old lug-holes. There's no chorus effect, just a bit of EQ to take some lower frequencies off.

Thanks Mark, duly de-essed where necessary using Melodyne.

Thanks, I think I need to learn how to set that up ?

Just a quick plug for my latest "album". All of the songs on it I ran by you good people on here first. This is a link to it on Spotify but it's also on iTunes, YouTube and more, and also on Bandcamp. https://open.spotify.com/album/7tz8rhC0OBeEtXVvNnkwS9?si=IgiOXU09S2Kk7_sWomlyOw The cover is a mugshot of me, but my wife tells me that I always look smug when I beat her at Scrabble, (which isn't very often, so I tend to milk it when I do) hence the title.

Since I'm a bit of a lardo in my advancing years, the original line was "it just makes the other man's ***** look leaner" ... but it sounded too much like "cleaner" so it had to go ?

Absolutely ?

Really enjoyed that. AC/DC meets Bad Co ?

My latest 3 minute toe-tapper. I hope it makes you smile. https://www.bandlab.com/post/3835eff4-ccb1-ed11-a8e0-000d3a3f8f45

Many thanks @sjoens and @Kevin Perry. I'll see if I can suss out the "hide" option. If it's easy to explain why we need two types then I'd be very interested.

Hi all, is there a way to delete items from the Browser window please? It's probably staring me in the face but I just don't see it. I have two instances of AD2 (I moved the second one from the "Synth" folder) but the VST is installed only once. Thanks. EDIT: looking in the plug-in manager, there are actually two instances, one in "VST Instruments (VSTi)" and another in "VST3 Instruments (VST3i)" - have I inadvertently installed two instances?
-
Thank Jim. Having had a play with Melodyne's functionality, I wholeheartedly agree.

Which in turn reminds me of Dr Evil ? I really must have a listen to some APP stuff. If you've seen the "Get Back" footage on Disney, that's him lurking in the background in the control room at Apple.

Always liked his singles, would you recommend his albums?

Thanks Lynn, I did enjoy using the phrase "creature comforts" in different contexts and I left it just a little bit vague overall so as to try and get the listener to paint a mental picture of their own rather than spell out a specification, if that makes sense.

Very nice indeed Mark. Well recorded and mixed. FWIW I can hear no sibilance issues.

"Revisited" because I'm fairly sure I've posted about this track before but probably a couple of years ago. Comments appreciated. https://www.bandlab.com/post/ae368c96-07a2-ed11-994c-000d3a3f87df

Hi Jesse, do you mean the solo starting at 2:02? That's from my 1990s vintage Yamaha SQ16 keyboard, "Hawaiian guitar".

I can hear your pain in this, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Nothing to do with a garden but this is a song of mine, newly recorded, but from about 25 years ago. Partly based on what I was experiencing at the time and partly on a TV drama in the same period. Very stripped back arrangement but I think it's all it needs. My first dalliance with Melodyne's sibilance control. I don't use profanities lightly in a song, but this contains one because I think it is appropriately descriptive. Fully understand if an admin chooses to take it down as a consequence but we're all grown-ups here so I hope it's not a problem.
