  1. Check this: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Arranging.21.html and this: https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007012951/My-view-no-longer-scrolls-through-the-project-following-the-cursor-NowTime-durin
  2. Double check that you are getting a mono file: see pic. There appears to be a stereo file, and two audio lanes.
  3. Unfortunately, I have had this same problem, and it was due to a faulty midi keyboard hardware: sometimes the wheel transmits a tiny signal, and it gets recorded in the midi track. Over time, I found that by disconnecting/reconnecting the power of the keyboard, it stopped transmitting this unwanted Wheel data. Before that, I just got used to erase all wheel data using Edit/Select/By Filter/Wheel over the whole midi tracks. It's very annoying, thou.
  4. mmmmh... I think you have a point. In addition, just realized that Dorico's library handles the multiple options that relates to music notation, not the program preferences itself, like hot keys, storage folders, windows themes, etc. So, in this respect, CW is even ahead, as in many other things.
  5. Yes, once in a while you've got to make a clean install, and is not easy to rebuild your system as it was when personal configuration/preferences are in different places. I know that probably there are good reasons for this from the programmer point of view, but in a heavenly paradise of software, having the ability to have a consolidated place for customizations would be great, and as John Vere points out, even better if it is in the cloud. As a reference, Dorico (Steinberg's music notation app), recently created a "Library" menu, when all your preferences are stored, and you can even compare and/or edit your current project versus your defaults. Of course, in music notation there are literally hundreds of notation options, so it feels more relevant for that kind of use. Anyway...
  6. Not sure if I understood right, but in case your audios are all in a single project file, but contain several songs, i would do this: Move all audio tracks from each song to a dedicated folder. Name the folder in a meaningful way for your purposes On export, use the Source Category Track Folders Configure your labels to include the relevant-desired information
  7. Hi, I wonder (for backup purposes) where are stored Workspaces files? Didn't find it in the documentation. Thanks!

  9. I can confirm that in my system Mp3 are importing as usual. Just noticed that your file extension appears to be a wav file?
  10. It's very weird... comes to mind to make sure that your midi track is not transposed, because this could make any VST having your G2 out of range. It seems to me that this is a problem with your VST destination...
  11. Are you sure the DAW is full of bugs? It seems that you are not using proper drivers...
  12. By the way, how do you change your post Title?
  13. Can you post a screenshot of the time ruler? Also, make sure the zoom is properly adjusted. See pic.
  14. I usually do this by adding the delay to the track/bus of the vocal track - set the delay parameters - automatize the effect to the desired effect. No need to split the clip, just work on the automation lane. Other solution? yes, duplicate the track - split the clip (create fade in-out in the edges to avoid noises) - move the clip to the 2nd track - apply the delay to this track only. You can even use this method to get the delay effect in all the words of your vocal track that you wish to affect. Just split them from the 1st track.
  15. Yes, I switched from Saving as Bundle to Save As (including audio files). And I use this only when the project is finished, saving at least two copies in two different drives (plus the Cloud). I think that once you get a personal file handling system that works fine for your needs/habits, it’s easier to avoid the kind of problems you describe. The Clean Audio Folder utility is not really a file manager, but a (sometimes) useful tool to delete un-referenced audio files, but I guess that means that the file is REALLY orphaned, and not just in a different drive, or hidden somewhere.
  16. I understand. To my knowledge, there is no need to use Copy multiple times. Just copy and paste as many times you want in different sections of your project. At least in my system it is working as described. See video. By the way, there is also the option to Copy-Paste Special-Link to Original Clips if you want to edit the "master" clip later: the linked clips will update as well. Video 1.mp4
  17. Yes, use Edit/Paste Special instead: you can select the number of repeats.
  18. https://www.cakewalk.com/command-center Download the app and from there you can install the missing elements that came with Sonar.
  19. Hola, Creo que tendría que configurar cada instrumento a 432 Hxz, uno por uno. No conozco una forma de alterar esto para todos los instrumentos simultáneamente.
  20. Yes, it is. After a while, it makes sense, as you just right click on any control you want to automate: it's very straightforward. Once you do it, the automation lane is created and you can edit the envelope itself if needed. Remember that you can also enable-disable READ automation to temporary override your envelopes, without erasing them - Very useful!
  21. You can also use Tab to advance to the next marker, or Shift+Tab to return. (not sure if this is are default shortcuts or I did configured myself...)
