midi How to preserve velocities when saving as MIDI file?
Byron Dickens replied to ·⛤·'s question in Q&A
Indeed, something else is going on here. The velocity values are part of the midi data and will get saved in the file. -
Yet another Cakewalk Demo mode / Authorization question.

That makes a lot more sense. I guess I got so used to seeing all the posts from people who seem to think , for instance, that W10 is some kind of conspiracy that it is easy to make unwarranted assumptions.... -

Yet another Cakewalk Demo mode / Authorization question.

Suit yourself. I find that the more I can live in the world of what is instead of the world of what if, the happier I am. Not a reply to this topic so much specifically but to life in general. The problem with trying to remain frozen in time comes, as Lord Tim points out, when - not if, but WHEN - your old, obsolete hardware fails. You think its bothersome trying to keep up to date? Just wait until you have no choice because your decade or more old system is nothing more than a doorstop. SONAR HS6 did " everything I needed." Would I ever want to go back? Hell no! -

Learn to accept change and you'll be happier than you will fighting to remain in the past. -
You're thinking about ARA. ARIA is a sfz player engine.

Engineering the NPR Tiny Desk Performances
Byron Dickens replied to bitflipper's topic in The Coffee House
NPR pretty much does everything first class. -
It concerns me more that they reproduce.

And there's nothing wrong with that. I don't want to sound like I'm looking down my nose at it or anything. There's certainly an art to being able to do that and do it well. It just doesn't work for me. Hell, I love Blues and probably 97.6% of it is trying to rework the same material into something new.

That and loops. I never fell for any of the phrase-based stuff but I tried playing with loops and it just don't do it for me. As someone with actual compositional abilities, I'd rather spend less of my time coming up with the right part on my own than endlessly auditioning loops to find a "good enough" one that will "work."

I wish there was a level between Core and Pro with the additional instruments and articulations but not the mic positions.

ASIO4ALL is known problematic. That's your issue right there. Why in God's name would anyone use it when their interface's manufacturer supplies a proper ASIO driver? -
I'll guarantee he wasn't the one who had to maintain all those 24 track tape machines he fantasizes about.

You got to wonder about the mentality of some a****** who will create a whole account just so he can make two troll posts and disappear.

It looks like you're running it as Administrator. Don't. -
Blackmagic Design offers a bunch of free training materials: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/training The whole thing walks you through putting an entire short documentary movie together. If you decide to try DR, be warned: pay close attention to the system requirements or you will NOT have a good experience.

OMG. Look how high up those cymbals are. And how far away what I'm guessing is the ride.

DaVinci Resolve is free.

No. I know how to look. Basic research skills. Do they not teach such things in school any more? Not logical in the least, since Cakewalk, inc. no longer exists. How do you expect to get support from a nonexistent company? ??? What does that even mean? I get that you are frustrated. I showed you exactly where to go to submit a support ticket. If you choose to somehow take that as an insult, that's your problem, not mine. You're welcome. Have a wonderful weekend.
