  1. Did you even watch the video? An audio interface is a piece of hardware. It is where sound goes into and out of the computer.
  2. Only disagreement I have is that if you don't have an audio interface that supports ASIO, you need to get one. Stay away from ASIO4ALL. It tends to be problematic.
  3. That's one of many reasons why I recommend listening with your ears instead of your eyes....
  4. Very nice and peaceful. Even sounds good over the phone speaker.
  5. I dare say this isn't a whole lot more than Komplete Start

    Solar Wind

Sailing on the solar winds. Space music. Done mostly on the Korg X3 along with a few things from the DSF Proteus library.
  7. I can't say I have ever been much concerned with the fonts in one or another of the menus.
  8. Brings me back to my comment about spoon feeding....
  9. Since I am here on this forum, the official forum sponsored by the company that produces Cakewalk, it seemed obvious to me to look around here for links. Up near the top right corner is what looks like a menu. A little exploration of said menu reveals the link to "support center." A little bit more exploration reveals "submit a request." Some people give up too easily when they don't get spoon fed everything. I agree that all the old legacy stuff needs to be cleaned up and perhaps subsumed into the new site
  10. The interface has combo inputs. Whether line or mic level depends on whether you plug a 1/4" or XLR into it. All this is covered in Focusrite's documentation.
  11. It's because you have a stereo pair selected instead of just one input. You need to select only the input that your microphone is plugged into. It doesn't have anything to do with your preamp.
  12. Well **** ****** my ****** ****!
  13. This thread is over two years old. I'm sure the OP has found something by now.
  14. Indeed, something else is going on here. The velocity values are part of the midi data and will get saved in the file.
  15. That makes a lot more sense. I guess I got so used to seeing all the posts from people who seem to think , for instance, that W10 is some kind of conspiracy that it is easy to make unwarranted assumptions....
  16. Suit yourself. I find that the more I can live in the world of what is instead of the world of what if, the happier I am. Not a reply to this topic so much specifically but to life in general. The problem with trying to remain frozen in time comes, as Lord Tim points out, when - not if, but WHEN - your old, obsolete hardware fails. You think its bothersome trying to keep up to date? Just wait until you have no choice because your decade or more old system is nothing more than a doorstop. SONAR HS6 did " everything I needed." Would I ever want to go back? Hell no!
