  1. 67 years old, master whiz self-taught computer programmer and all that and you don't know how to use a table of contents or index?
  2. The reply I responded to disappeared ? r
  3. Perhaps you should peruse the documentation and learn how Cakewalk works....
  4. I must be missing something. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this and I haven't been able to find it in the documentation. I have 4 tracks (Kick, Snare Overhead L and Overhead R) with several take lanes each. I want to be able to audition, say, take 1 of all four tracks simultaneously and then switch to take 2, 3 & so on. The only way I've been able to do this is soloing each corresponding take lane track by track. Very tedious and more than once I drove myself nuts by not having all my soloed takes match. The way I finally got my comp done was by just using one of the overhead tracks to make my selections and then copying them track by track. Surely, I can't be the first person to comp multitrack drums. It's enough of a pain with 4 mikes; I couldn't imagine doing it this way with double miked kick and snare, tom mikes, overheads and close and far stereo room mikes!
  5. Did you even watch the video? An audio interface is a piece of hardware. It is where sound goes into and out of the computer.
  6. Only disagreement I have is that if you don't have an audio interface that supports ASIO, you need to get one. Stay away from ASIO4ALL. It tends to be problematic.
  7. That's one of many reasons why I recommend listening with your ears instead of your eyes....
  8. Very nice and peaceful. Even sounds good over the phone speaker.
  9. I dare say this isn't a whole lot more than Komplete Start

    Solar Wind

Sailing on the solar winds. Space music. Done mostly on the Korg X3 along with a few things from the DSF Proteus library.
  11. I can't say I have ever been much concerned with the fonts in one or another of the menus.
  12. Brings me back to my comment about spoon feeding....
  13. Since I am here on this forum, the official forum sponsored by the company that produces Cakewalk, it seemed obvious to me to look around here for links. Up near the top right corner is what looks like a menu. A little exploration of said menu reveals the link to "support center." A little bit more exploration reveals "submit a request." Some people give up too easily when they don't get spoon fed everything. I agree that all the old legacy stuff needs to be cleaned up and perhaps subsumed into the new site
  14. The interface has combo inputs. Whether line or mic level depends on whether you plug a 1/4" or XLR into it. All this is covered in Focusrite's documentation.
  15. It's because you have a stereo pair selected instead of just one input. You need to select only the input that your microphone is plugged into. It doesn't have anything to do with your preamp.
  16. Well **** ****** my ****** ****!
  17. This thread is over two years old. I'm sure the OP has found something by now.
