  1. I am trying to send a Sysex dump to my Korg X3 and having trouble. The keyboard only takes about half of Bank A. Most of the rest appears to be scrambled - random & missing characters in the patch names and the last few patches and all of Bank B remain in the initialized state. I suspect the dump may be too fast for the keyboard to handle. In the documentation, I found "Sysx .ini file settings" but what's confusing me is that there are several different "TTSseq.ini" files spread around in different places and none of them have the lines SysxSendDelayMsecs=n SysxDelayAfterF7=n or SysxSendPacketSize=n Which are what I am supposed to edit to slow down the data transmission. Any ideas?
  2. Oh.... I see..... My condolences and prayers for a speedy recovery.
  3. I found I have a much easier time restringing a Floyd doing one string at a time.
  4. It's a typical beginner's mistake to only think about turning something up to make it more audible and never think about turning everything else around it down.
  5. I'm betting "no."
  6. Wait a minute: you say you're concerned about security but you're using Chrome?
  7. I can't help but think of my father. 40 years ago - FORTY YEARS - they messed up his order at a Whataburger. To this day, not only will he not darken the door of one, he comes unglued at the very mention of the name.
  8. W10 came out almost 6 years ago. Microsoft dropped support for W7 over a year ago. Time to update. Past time.
  9. I don't have that problem. It all works just fine for me. There isn't anything wrong with the online documentation; it must be your browser settings.
  10. I, too have autosave disabled as it will interrupt what I am doing. Hitting "Ctrl+S" is like a nervous tic.
  11. Cancel the subscription? ? Seriously, though, that is a crappy attitude. And good to be aware of. I love their Symphonic Choir, but I think I won't be getting anything else from them.
  12. Well, wouldn't you know. I replaced the internal battery and did a factory reset and it's all back. Since banks 0 and 1 are in RAM, I thought with the demise of the battery they were wiped out for good. I really appreciate you guys trying to help me out!
  13. Especially considering that the vast majority of the content is recycled from the previous edition.
  14. I just went down this road. You just have to do it manually.
  15. Or maybe you're engaging in hasty generalization. You haven't submitted a crash dump, have you?
  16. The factory reset doesn't restore banks 0 and 1 for some reason. Maybe replacing the nearly 30 year old and surely dead internal battery will fix that. Something I need to do anyway. I appreciate the link, but I have seen it before and it doesn't have what I am looking for. There is a link to a site that has a paltry few soundfonts sampled from the unit, but I need the actual sysex files for the hardware unit itself.
  17. If CbB itself is the problem, how would you possibly explain all the people who use it successfully on a daily basis without this issue?
  18. I carefully organize everything in a heirachal file structure with clear labeling or I'd never find anything.
  19. Does anyone know where I can find all the factory presets for a Proteus FX? I am putting one back into service that I have had sitting around for years but banks 0 and 1 have been wi I have searched but without success. I seem to be able to find them for every E-mu ever made except the Proteus FX!
  20. Yep. Drum machine emulations are a dime a dozen....
  21. I think every Junior High student should have to pass a basic class in research skills and critical thinking....
  22. Blackmagic Design has a bunch of training materials here, including project files. They walk you through putting together a short movie from start to finish. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/training Resolve is well worth learning, although the curve is steep. Interesting you say that. I can't make heads or tails out of video games, but I caught on to both CW and Resolve immediately. The first time I sat down with each, I was able to figure out how to make stuff happen just by poking around on the buttons and menus and applying some basic reasoning. Hint: nearly every Windows app in existence operates in the same basic way.
