  1. No. It was replaced and it won't prevent the unit from powering on anyway.
  2. What is the output on that midi tracks set to? It has to be output to something.
  3. "Select: all" quickly highlights everything and will quickly show you at a glance if there is anything beyond the presumed end of your project.
  4. I am trying to use the TX16Wx soft sampler to play soundfonts and the volume is just unreasonably loud. So much so that I have to turn the fader down on the audio output track to almost nothing, and even then I think it's still clipping inside the plug in itself. I can't for the life of me find any kind of master volume in the plug-in. I have looked through the documentation, but have not been able to find a solution to my conundrum so far. Anyone else seen this and/or have a fix for it?
  5. I've had that happen before. Never anything like 12 hours, but several minutes. Have always found some kind of data far beyond where I thought the project ended.
  6. After getting my Proteus FX hooked up and starting to explore it, it died on me one night. Will not power up. Got 9VAC to the switch. Voltage drops when I close the switch. Even jumpered the contacts on the board & still no dice. Damn! I was so looking forward to using it! Do any of you electronics gurus here have any insight? Maybe there's something else I can look at. I am sad.
  7. John's suggestion was actually pretty helpful, I thought. The help module is an invaluable resource RTFM solves probably 99% of these"issues." Computers do what you tell them to, not what you want them to.
  8. It pays to be 2% smarter than the stuff you're working with.
  9. Wah! I have to click the mouse one more time ! ? Really, how hard is it to arm and disarm tracks as you go along? FWIW, 99% of the time I record more thof one track simultaneously.
  10. One more good argument in favor of using standard English when communicating with people you don't know well.
  11. Well, Hell. All that and it died on me overnight. Will not power up. Got 9VAC to the switch. Voltage drops when I close the switch. Even jumpered the contacts on the board & still no dice. Damn! I was so looking forward to using it!
  12. This all sounds like too much trouble. I'm sure you have your reasons for running Linux, but it seems like it would make more sense to set up your machine with dual boot & jut run CbB on the Windows partition?
  13. I just reassign everything and move on.
  14. I think a cursory glance at the documentation for Komplete Start would have answered this question.
  15. I just set it up the way I wanted and moved on with my life.
  16. Do a search. That's only been discussed 647,862 times....
  17. That's understandable and actually productive. I'm more referring to the way some people spend an inordinate amount of time beating their heads against the wall with some free flaky plugin they stumbled across they thought looked cool that God Knows who developed God knows how many years ago. I've pretty much stopped looking at freebies unless they are from a known developer. Sometimes if I for some reason am looking for an offbeat Instrument I don't already have - say, a Peruvian Nose Flute - I'll check out some freebie. But if it doesn't work right away or I don't like it for some reason: poof, it's gone. I probably have more stuff than I will ever use and I'm not anywhere near the plugin collector some are.
  18. I can't imagine expending so much effort on getting a free throwaway plugin to work.
  19. Haven't had a chance to try anything yet. I was most interested in getting all the sounds back in while I am waiting for a new belt for the floppy drive and the chance to install it.
