PG-8X seems to work just fine here. I loaded it up yesterday and cycled through a bunch of presets. Left it open all night and came back to it this morning and it is still working. Perhaps the dll is corrupted somehow? Another possibility is: I have had trouble with a couple of different things downloaded from one or another of those " free VST" sites that worked just fine when downloaded from the developer's own site.

It's not Cakewalk. It's obsolete, no-longer-supported plugins and/ or user error. It all works just fine for me.

I use HalionSonic SE quite successfully in CbB with the HaLion Symphonic Orchestra and a couple of other things.

I don't believe that it's possible to transmit midi events via bluetooth. Even if you could, it wouldn't be a good idea because Bluetooth is buggy, unreliable, and has a lot of latency. Just use wired connections and be done with it.
