  1. Steinberg is about to change their ilock style security for something that sounds like... Cakewalk by Bandlab! but at only 30 day authorization? Ouch! No pain if you’re always online. Oops... almost forgot... https://www.steinberg.net/licensing/?utm_campaign=366628959566_smt_statement_licensing&utm_content=elicensing_usa-eu-row-ja_en-de-es-fr-ja&utm_medium=content&utm_source=newsletter&utm_term=4P9NRIRK-4OFDEZPQ-SPU2UQ
  2. Check the 2021 update thread for the link to the cakewalk updater as I don't think the regular server has it yet.
  3. Thanks Mark... Too bad. That's a tender spot there I will have to remember to triple think before committing. I do realize why though. In this case, it was actually convenient saving me from needing to give permission for both. ?
  4. I experienced something like this too. I ran my two tasks (see previous post), I then realized an error I made and went back and re-ran the tasks recently updated. Both files were over-written with no warning
  5. I mentioned this during the EA. No one seems to have noticed, but it's still strange. Here's the situation I have a project I use for general mastering of my own tunes. I import 24/48 mixes and export 16/44.1 wav and mp3 files. I open the project, import my song, master and export using two tasks. One to create the wav and the other to create the mp3. When I am ready to export, I update each of the tasks to the current song title/location. The mp3 of course pops up the mp3 dialog which has the settings the project was last saved with used and I type in the new data where needed. So far so good. The issue is in the next part of this scenario. I then delete the song file and import the next file to be mastered. Adjust the mastering to the needs of this next song and proceed to export. I update the filename/location and proceed to update the tasks. wav file update is normal mp3 update is not. Now when i run the update task, the mp3 dialog is empty and I must re-type all data as well as adjust all mp3 settings. Shouldn't this still have the most recent data is was updated with? I have not closed the file. Not a show stopper, but.........
  6. Confirmed here too. All is well! Thanks!
  7. OK... That narrows things down... It seems the updater has not been updated to offer 2021.11 yet...
  8. Mine too... So there seems to be some issue with the updater identifying the correct build number. Not only is it seeing 2021.11.10 as 2021.09, it also thinks that makes my system current.... Twisted...
  9. Thanks Sakini... Probably the same. In the about box, which build does it show? I doubt it will matter to me much, but something’s wrong. This build only contains one item that affects me (and it's in a good way), but it's a minor issue. I am comfortable with the EA release.
  10. So Far? Can't get the update. I'm running EA 2021.11.10 and opening Cake brings no toast. Invoking check for update tells me I'm up to date with 2021.09?
  11. Timelines of all kinds! Here I was spinning the other way thinking them 6 months ahead? ? ?
  12. A touch for the puns thread?
  13. Is that a re-colorized DQ?
  14. I'm good with that! ...I was surprised when doing a new install (remotely) for a friend, I couldn't find this installer, only BA. EA for this was so long ago I just believed it must be available by now...
  15. Not that it affects me personally. I even had a decent experience with BA while I sweated recently. ...but When is this app going official? It seems a long time of EA and still no release?
  16. Good to hear... quite a funny coincidence though, eh?
  17. Sadly, I believe this is real. The ever changing world we live in...
  18. You’re right. No proof, but.........
  19. Wow! I just came upon this and felt stunned. The path... Fender buying Presonus... ...and Gibson part of Fender's legal counsel? https://production-expert.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d9dbbe046af2c4c785475a28b&id=37899c07e0&e=8c045e2291 Interesting...
  20. Thanks Noel. Happily, the toast reg entry persists with this build.
  21. Thanks Noel... That makes thing simple... Will do... Done... Couldn't have been easier... and tested. Much better . Thanks for adding this little nugget....
  22. Thanks... I'm ok with regedit, but I don't remember some things so quickly when I don't do them often. I found an entry in the reg under CMS|Cakewalk|Core|SticktFileExportNotification which is set at 1 Should I simply change it to zero ?
