  1. Exactly! ...unless totally benign to any existing situations. It should have tested for supporting OS and user's permission to alter anything of personal property. They destroyed fully paid for, authorized, and operating softwares in their' aggressive enforcement of their' desires!
  2. It already WAS authorized but they STOLE it by forcing Waves Central to update itself on a machine not supported by the version of waves central they forced onto my machine!
  3. I would respect that concept related to buying it now, but they stopped a working product that was paid for and the only recourse the offer to correct this has to cost me additional funds. That sounds like nasty business to me. Imagine if your car suddenly stopped working with nothing wrong with it because the manufacturer would only allow it to run again by buying something else. I think most people would feel wronged and possibly even legal grounds if it was worth the cost if the plugins... obviously not so without a class action suit not gonna happen.
  4. Thanks Bruno... Just downloaded it!
  5. Yeah, there's the rub......... My problem is on a win8.1 machine which with Microsoft dropping it's support no longer "allows" Waves to activate it online (or so they say. Personally I believe it's all they are willing to do!)
  6. To add to abacab's info... No. Nothing needed to be purchased. If you have the Player version, the IRs load fine. It only involved logging into their' website and adjusting things there. I believe I recall a download link appeared for the solo IRs and loaded them into ReMatrix Player... I now have it in both solo and in player...
  7. That's the Presonus website, yes?
  8. Yes, and now that Fender owns Presonus, he's connected with the main "opposition"
  9. but can you authorize them? According to their' rather insulting tech,"Since Microsoft dropped support for all OS before 10, there is no way to online authorize so a USB dongle is required" So it still stands that they forced the central update on machines running win8.1 and earlier versions of their software no longer work without extra expense and issues... I'm way too skeptical to update Waves Central right now as it created a severe problem for me on one machine already!
  10. I hope they have/are bringing him some recompense...
  11. OK... We've already got that. So it's still another blind alley... So it seems the likely story is that the current Presonus collection may be what happened to them...
  12. I'm thinking maybe it was offered directly from Craig? Probably not, but I'm thinking now to go look for his website? I just visited and still found nothing, but on another tack, I found a PRODUCT on the Presonus page which is for a purchase of Anderton's IRs... https://shop.presonus.com/Craig-Anderton-Surreal-Reverb-Impulse-Responses So, maybe this is why there's nowhere to find free Anderton IRs? ...and now I found this. The link to download leads to a 401 error message... https://noelborthwick.com/cakewalk/category/industry-news/
  13. Yes... You can still log into the old Sonar "My Programs" folder and find all the old Cakewalk/Sonar downloads you own. Still same link. The Anderson IRs is another matter. I have not been able to find them anywhere...
  14. Yup... You got it! Thanks... I just found it in the help docs too...
  15. Thanks... Now to discover where the refresh button is? Tomorrow...
  16. Thanks... Yeah, I thought something like that. I already tried copying the expansions folder to he different locations I found fir Rapture (there’s another within the Rapture Sessions folder)... tried reloading Rapture. I seemed to remember something like the refresh but I haven’t found it. Too tired tonight from last night’s gig, or was that this morning? My DAW was too tired too. So it already went to sleep. I’ll look again in the morning.
  17. OK... I seem to remember some "trick" to getting the expansions into Rapture but I haven't stumbled on it... I've run the expansions installer, but they don't appear which is when I seem to remember some detail that needs to be done to complete the task. Am I wrong? Does anyone remember anything about this? I seem to recall using the expansion sounds more than the basics that were included...
  18. Sadly, not here. Oh well. As I’ve never used them on my old DAW, I probably won’t miss them here. It would have been nice to explore more options.
  19. Thanks abacab, but sadly, no. I only have the NYC impulses in my user folder...
  20. Interesting... but I couldn't find any links to download these. so I guess I will forever be forgetful of what they sounded like...
  21. AHA! Thanks abacab! That was the missing bit. It's a PC plugin! I found it and whether it already had these or found them because they were correctly installed, but the NYC impulses are all there already! Nice... Now we have the best of both worlds (in the free arena anyway)...
  22. Thanks. I was afraid it was something like that. Yeah player is a deeper version, but we can’t load the NYC impulses that were also bundled with Sonar at some point. You have to have the full/paid version to load "user presets". That’s what I was trying to accomplish. Not a great tragedy as I’ve never used them so I don’t remember what they contained...
  23. Good/Special deal to me! I now have more lovely IRs to chose from! Too bad I can’t use the NYC IRs we got for the older version. Does anyone remember when we got rematrix solo? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
