  1. Text created in Photoshop is often blurred, smudged, or just plain YUK. CbB generated text looks much better. At least 2 modules let you to enter your own text which you can copy & paste into a theme image. matching the GUI's text face & size exactly. For Normal text use Custom Module (or Console View track name) (Track & Console View Name & Background can also be used) 1. Set text color you want in Theme Editor (Alternative Text #2) 2. Choose a theme that has a light or dark button for the text background or repaint Control Bar | Modules | Custom | Custom Button to desired color 3. In CbB right-click any Custom button and type your new word 4. Use Windows Snipping Tool to copy and paste into your photo editor For Bold text use Markers Module (or Track View track name) 1. Set text color you want in Theme Editor (Alternative Text #2 or track name color) 2. Choose a theme that has a light or dark button for the text background or repaint Control Bar |Menu (wide) button to desired color (or track name background) 2. In CbB click the "+" button and type your new word 3. Use Windows Snipping Tool to copy and paste into your photo editor Shrinking copied text to 75% still looks good. Just remember to re-rename the buttons or delete the new markers when done.
  2. 1. Make sure you're not putting notes in the wrong key. 2. Check each instruments transpose setting if available. 3. Check the Inspector's Key setting for each track.
  3. Did we mention the ALT key... ? However... One doesn't expect a tool's behavior to change when moving from one Pane to another. Sometimes it's just a .... pane!
  4. If you mean "I can't get the audio back", it comes back here when I hit Ctrl+Z. If you mean "The Take Lane button remains dimly lit"... deleting the contents of a Take Lane will not remove the Take Lane itself. You must remove it manually by hitting the "X" button. Presto! the Take Lane disappears and the button returns to it's original gray state and all the world can rest easy once again. IOW, the button will remain dimly lit until you remove the Take Lane.
  5. "It" is one (1) image buried in the resource files since SPlat. Older Sonar had a similar "mini" control bar option so maybe it's a dormant future feature, abandoned idea, or something we're clueless how to invoke.
  6. I'd think if the project was originally created with Sonar X3, you'd be ok. If not, I'd install every version you have including 32 bit. You might be able to figure out which one it is by clicking the track's synth icon and reading the info displayed in the empty wrapper. Dimension versions: 1.0, 1.2 (2006), 1.3 (2008), & 1.5 (2011). There were also a few updater patches along the way. BTW, I'm having a similar problem using Vvocal in SPlat.
  7. This can happen when a plugin is not in the same location as it was originally. Or 32 vs 64 bit?? Also, Dimension Pro came in at least 2 flavors; v1.3 and 1.5, and Dimension LE came in at least 3 including a DX version. This can also invoke the error. You can try the Replace synth... routine but it will remove any loaded presets.
  8. Why would CbB look for and try to open a ZIP file? (yes, i read Noel's post).
  9. Not sure why it works here but might be because I have older Sonar versions installed for their plugins which may have a more complete installation than the current offerings. Here's some previously recorded conversations: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Plugin-Presets-Folder-m3791208.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Where-do-the-Sonitus-presets-usually-live-m3248116.aspx
  10. I see this on some plugins, but for the most part Sonitus (non VST3) is working here. The top Preset button mirrors the Sonitus Presets button lists. Even the Previous/Next buttons work. BTW, I can't follow your 1st link as I don't do FB.
  11. Thanks. Just did a test project with CA-2A in FX Rack and in ProChannel. The ProChannel instance was the only one giving the demo warning. When I closed CbB, it blue screened my system causing it to reboot. When I opened CbB again with a new project and loaded the same 2 instances of CA-2A, there was no demo warning or a link to authorize it. Maybe it's good to go now?
  12. Installed on a new system, is there a way to fix demo mode with my reg codes since CCC is no longer used?
  13. TV clips CC display seems convoluted to operate... 1. CC display options are found in 3 different menus and seem to counteract one another. Should be one menu. 2. Menu should also be multi-selectable so not reopening menu for each action. 3. In Clips mode all CCs are the same color and can't tell them apart. 4. MIDI > Show Controllers only affects Notes mode. Should also affect Clips mode. 5. Difficult to impossible to delete some CCs without also deleting notes. I don't use this feature but for these reasons.
  14. This would be nice. Tho in PRV the CCs have black outlines and already vary in color DEPTH by the velocity value which may make it challenging to do.
  15. Thanks. Not sure what settings to check for in OneDrive but the files are actually in APPDATA\Roaming\Cakewalk... Also not sure what entry in TTSSEQ indicates whether selected or not.... Under [AliasInput/Output] micro lite: Port 1=xx1 micro lite: Port 2=xx2 micro lite: Port 3=xx3 micro lite: Port 4=xx4 micro lite: Port 5=xx5 : Port 1=xx1 : Port 2=xx2 : Port 3=xx3 : Port 4=xx4 Under [MIDI Input/Output Devices] 0=: Port 1 1=: Port 2 2=: Port 3 3=: Port 4 4=: Port 5 CbB's looks as it should be, so maybe a USB issue?! SPlat's was missing friendly names but a simple copy/paste of the other one fixed that. We'll see how she goes.
  16. In Windows 11 - Lately I've had to go into Preferences and RE-select my MIDI devices every other time I open CbB or Sonar. Sometimes none are listed even tho my interface is on and seen by Windows. Usually they are listed but unchecked - even when reopening a recently saved project.
  17. Maybe Modified is confused with Accessed? Try Refreshing the window. Windows 11 seems confused on many levels. Just opened an old folder and added Date Accessed to the views. Found the CWP I just opened and closed from there reporting 11/30/22, while several other CWPs I never touched reporting yesterday's date. Hitting Refresh fixed the date for the one I opened but can't explain the others. BTW, I use Refresh a lot, so thanks to Windows 11 for moving it to a 2nd level window requiring 2 clicks to find.
  18. If only it worked. Unfortunately I've found transparency to not work in most cases, and Marker colors are set in Preferences which seems to override theme colors.
  19. I'm always confused! I typed the question knowing others would also have it, then answered it with the link after googling. I never use Simple Instrument tracks but do use cc's and automation, sometime together.
  20. If you mean USB 3 SuperSpeed cable then the B side is larger and won't work in devices w/o the larger jack. https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-USB-Black-Feet/dp/B00C7S0BES/ref=asc_df_B00C7S0BES/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241907595991&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7151497937872998667&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033981&hvtargid=pla-570311906571&th=1
  21. 1. The track currently in focus (not selected) will be the 1st track pasted to. It should be the same track copied from to maintain track order. 2. Turn on Ripple Edit.
  22. No. Velocity is the only CC associated with a note until you add others. Once you do, you can save a project with any CC lane in focus.
