  1. I don't think there's a way to display notes directly on the piano keys. Theme Editor can't do it. However, they will display as you hover the mouse near them, independently of each other. A feature request?
  2. "CbB comes with the Sonitus" I use Tinnitus. May take a few years for it to fully settle in, but once you have it those freqs are never an issue.
  3. 2x clicking Inspector should work, but there seems to be a bug or 2. Once icons are clicked to open Inspector, 2x clicking splitter to open/collapse is disabled. This remains so as long as a collapsed Inspector icon is active (lit). Collapsing/opening Inspector with or without tabbed window seems a little awkward and requires specific routine. Browser icons works differently in that you can open it by clicking an icon but you can only collapse it with the arrow button. BTW, since I learned that it works on Multidock my wish to 1x click the tabs to return to TV is null&void.
  4. The gaps between views are "Splitter Bars" that can be dragged to open/close/reposition the views. Multidock tabs can be 2x clicked to open them full-screen then 2x clicked again to return to 1/2 open state. EDIT: I would add 1x click to bring you back to fully open Track View. And in case you dinint know, the icons on the collapsed Inspector & Browser can be clicked to reopen them.
  5. "BTW, the documentation doesn't load the images and the web certification is expired." I run into that from time to time. But this one worked for me. I saved the page as a pdf if you can't see the images: Cakewalk - Cakewalk Documentation - Setting the project tempo from an audio recording.pdf
  6. or is it?! UPDATE 2: Set all 32 bit Sonars to Windows 7 compatibility mode and it seems to work now. Also fixed some other plugin issues with Windows 11.
  7. True, but I just like things to work. Every new turn seems to throw another monkey wrench into the works.
  8. After much headache and trial & error I think it works now. I wound up installing 32 & 64 bit Sonar 8 fully on my system and setting all the 32 bit Sonar app Compatibility Modes to Windows 7. So far so good. This could have been avoided if SD2 Kits & Programs could be read by SD3. Why can't they??!?
  9. PRV MIDI notes generally follow the Track View track Foreground color. Exception may be Drum track notes which are all too often black.
  10. Yes but not all 32 bit plugins work in CbB. Nor do all 32 bit projects function properly in it, thus why I use 32 bit Sonar.
  11. I think moving AIM ASSIST digits to the top or to the right of the line would be a huge improvement. Bigger Ruler digits would be also.
  12. Sure, just grab the image above and drag it to your desktop. Then open your favorite theme in Theme Editor. Click on Browser, then Plug-in Browser. Scroll to Plug-in Tree Icons and right click it. Select Import and navigate to the downloaded image. Select it and click Open. Save the theme and load it in Preferences. These are also color-coded to match CbB's dropdown lists used elsewhere. BTW you can't save the theme if it's the current theme and CbB is open. Just switch themes, save this one in Theme Editor, then switch back.
  13. Again Windows 11/Intel 12th gen seems to have broken something. I have 32 bit Sonar installed on Windows 11 to open older projects. 32 bit Sonar completely ignores 32 bit SD2 during a scan. Oddly, 64 bit Sonar/CbB picks up 32 bit SD2 and loads it just fine.
  14. You can also reorganize them by "Type" which separates VST2, VST3, DX Or download this easier-to-read icon pack and add it to your favorite theme:
  15. DO NOT DELETE! One is VST2 and the other VST3 (top one), as it should be. Notice the icons are also different. (VST3 sorta resembles a 3. VST2 sorta resembles a 1/4" audio plug) When highlighting it, the text along the bottom frame will reveal it's true identity. BTW, My installer is refusing to add the VST3 for some reason.
  16. FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY. SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLY. MAYBE MORE.
  17. Actually.... Wherein 2 or more progs contain the same plugins, they may contain different versions of said plugins. Therefore it is best practice to install the progs in order.
  18. If you're talking about the AIM Assist line digits you should change the title of this thread. The "Now Time" line (the line that moves across the screen when playing/recording) has no digits.
  19. Meters work when actually recording synth but do not work when playing synth, or project, with track armed 1. Create new project with one Audio and one MIDI track 2. Set MIDI track output to outboard synth and record or manually enter notes 3. Set Audio track Input to outboard synth 4. Arm Audio track and PLAY project without recording Expected = Audio track Record meter will show activity as synth is played Actual = Audio track Record meter is dead until project is stopped and you MAY briefly see the end tails of meter activity. Reproduced issue several times with new and existing projects. Could not reproduce issue in Sonar Platinum. Anyone else see this?
  20. Anyone else having issues? When I installed Addictive Drums 2 VST3 on my new Windows 11 PC and tried to load it in CbB, it threw an error asking me to Enable (risky) or Disable it. I chose Enable. It wound up in the PIM Excluded list. I contacted XLN who had me remove and reinstall the VST3. So far every attempt to reinstall it has failed. The XLN Installer says everything's up to date but the VST3 is nowhere to be seen. When I restored the original deleted VST3 to it's folder, CbB again throws an error when scanning it. I Enable it but it doesn't show up anywhere in the PIM list. XLN support is ongoing. SOLVED - see below.
