  1. So it's like it's in Comp mode while you are just editing/appending one lane (the main lane.) Do you know when it creates a new lane?
  2. I'm not clear what you are wanting. In Cakewalk, a double click on most things will center or zero the control. Many plugins don't follow this action though. Midi velocity goes to 0, volume goes to 101, pan goes to center or 0. Wave volume goes to 0.0, pan to 0 or center and gain goes to 0.
  3. Turn on loop and paste something? Edit: Just tried it and nothing odd happened. It pasted in the right place. I'm not doubting you but I don't see anything strange.
  4. Ah, so I see why it works. If you select the track number, the name automatically highlights too (so it's now the active track.) But if you then click on a track name, it becomes the active track and the track where you clicked the number isn't active even though the number is still highlighted. I always click on the track number which also makes it the active track so I never got burnt. I only click on the name if I plan on changing it. Very important distinction!
  5. You are right. It pastes to the highlighted track name not the number. I never noticed that but I've always highlighted the number and never highlighted a name as a second step. Oh geez, I see the dust of the manual posse on the trail behind us ...
  6. As long as I highlight the track and make sure the marker is where I want the paste, even a simple CTRL-V will work. But I have to make damn sure both of those are where I intended. If I copy a clip from and track and intend to copy it back to a new location on the same track, I usually don't need to highlight the track but there are times where either nothing happened or it went somewhere into the ether. And then if you hit CTRL-Z to undo the mystery paste you risk undoing a previous change somewhere. So I pay close attention to highlighting the track and the location of the marker.
  7. I say we make people PROVE they read the manual before we offer ANY assistance! Why the nerve ...
  8. 11 [Internal] Unexpected error while processing audio buffer. Try saving then closing and reopening the project. Well even that error explanation is unexpected ... Do you lose all audio or does it come and go?
  9. Because buried in there somewhere is everything.
  10. Turn off (uncheck) Recycle Plug-in Windows under Edit/Preference/File/VST Settings. Remember to hit Apply. Or leave it on and pin the plugin window to keep it open using the push pin at the top right.
  11. Read the edit I just did. I left out a couple details in the first post.
  12. You can duplicate the track (Duplicate Track) and then move the events/waves to the new track. Likely easier than a chain but you can create a "chain" (bundle of plugins) and save it in a preset. I do this a lot on sounds I want to use again. Save the settings of each effect in a preset. On the track with the effects, right click on the FX window title bar and select Save FX Rack as an FX Chain. Give it name and save. In the new track, right click on the FX title bar and select Insert FX Chain Preset. Pick the one you save and it will load that chain (group of plugins.) You will get a single label with all of the plugins inside. You can expand it back to the list by right clicking and Select Extract FX Chain Plugins. Reload the presets for each plugin. There might be a way to do both the presets and chain at the save time but I haven't found it. I use the Duplicate Track methods and copy the events into it. Read the manual regarding FX Chains. https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/Cakewalk Reference Guide.pdf
  13. Hello I come to launch on the "new" sonar I have a problem with the "start stop" via the space bar. usually I selected a place on the Time-lapse with a LEFT CLICK then every time I launched or stop reading the cursor returned to this place but the no... so it's a real galley... Either I go back to the beginning via "w "or ca stop then leave after the stop point an idea? It was not that under sonar x and earlier... thank you in advance
  14. Can you post an example file that shows it? Or send it to support@cakewalk.com and explain the issue.
  15. I agree but I've tried to post what work-arounds (if any) that I know for those trying to deal with problems. Posts that are essentially "you are wrong for trying to figure out what changed" aren't helpful. Certainly, anyone that does a search for the "Forbidden Three" will quickly get the impression that those are not up to snuff anymore and should they be thinking of replacements. But if some of us know some short term solutions to try, why not tell them? And I am joking about the "Forbidden Three." We can obviously ask anything we want.
  16. See, you broke Cakewalk Club rule #4. No TTS-1 or V-Vocal!
  17. Right. When they stop working, stop using them. When they work, use them. But no need to stop using then when they work. I would certainly prepare for that day though but for now, they work. We're not allowed to discuss TTS-1 here or V-Vocal or surround ... Lol. J/K. __________________________ I'm having a problem with A. Don't use A, use B. But I want to figure out what happened to A first. No, use B damn it and don't ask about A. Only losers use A.
  18. Ah, so playback might not just stop unexpectedly but it will start dropping midi notes. I wonder if that is why I lose notes sometimes. I'll try increasing the buffer. Maybe that could be added to the description.
