  1. If the loop points don't match at a zero crossing you are certainly liable to get artifacts and especially if you then use Length to change the timing. Set the loop points to match at a zero crossing or at least go in and edit the crossing so there is no spike or discontinuity.
  2. Is Windows set to the same sample rate as Cakewalk? If I set Cakewalk and CoolEdit to 44.1k and Windows to 48k, starting Cakewalk causes CoolEdit to play as if it was recorded at 48k and it's slow. If I stop CW, it speeds back up. Set all apps and Windows 11 to the same sample rate. Art Bell type stuff I tell ya.
  3. You can use Length or Transpose depending on your goal to maintain timing.
  4. True but the words are actually useful. The symbols aren't. Yes, at some point you memorize them.
  5. "for 5 € you can use unified remote https://www.unifiedremote.com. Once the installation is done on the PC and smartphone, follow the tutorial "How To Create a Custom Keyboard Shortcuts Remote" and create the right files for Sonar. The syntax is very simple. Below what you just need to do to get a matching button play/stop functionality (space bar in Sonar) layout file.xml------------------------------- remote file.lua-------------------------------- local kb = libs.keyboard; --@help Play Stop actions.playstop = function () kb.stroke("space"); End"
  6. One thing I noticed is you added the record mode to the record button (COMP/SOS/OVR.) I don't think CW's themes showed this. It's worth a million bucks right there. Maybe I missed one of CW's thousands of switches and flags. I'm only up to page 2,108 of the manual!
  7. Hi Colin, Any chance you will update flat white matcha once the December build settles out? You added some features that CW should adopt.
  8. Welcome to the December episode of "Well, That Finally Explains It." I've been wondering what locked it. But I don't see the padlock.
  9. Do what I do - drink a lot. It helps with the claustrophobia.
  10. "Please test Region FX clips with Melodyne, elastique time stretching and verify that VST3 plug-in operations work normally." Melodyne: I still have to click on the clip to get the blobs to show up but Melodyne is otherwise working. Elastique: Time stretch and compress appear to be working. Melodyne VST: No clue how to work it or what would be correct! It transfers and draws so ...
  11. I am new to Melodyne and I just noticed it. It takes longer to render than V-Vocal but if I don't see it in 10 seconds I click on it and there it is. Has it been like this for a long time (longer than the latest CbB build)? Also, I notice CTRL+M consistently brings up the blobs without having to click on the clip again. Nope, not always. You have to click on the clip. Is it a window refresh issue?
  12. Start with this thread. There is lots of Xtouch info on this site.
  13. Yeah, I've seen that one too. Right now, I am seeing an empty window. No clip waveform, no yellow pitch lines. Squat, nada. Melodyne has done it twice too. I try my various tricks but it's hit and miss if it will show up on VV. Interesting info though! Thanks! Edit: I remembered that sometimes the yellow pitch line can be off the screen and you need to scroll to find it. You see the waveform but no yellow pitch line. It's there but down or up off the screen.
  14. Correct. For those that plan on tweaking polyphonic material they would need to step up. I was focused on replacing V-Vocal with something that works - usually.
  15. I had been thinking about getting Melodyne for some time. I noticed that Essentials was $49 yesterday so I bought it figuring I would get Assistant later on a discount upgrade offer. Turns out they are offering the Essential to Assistant upgrade for $99. So I bought Essentials installed and registered it and then turned around and bought the upgrade. So $148 for Essentials. However, I see that Essential is back to $99 so you should still be able to get Assistant for $198. Still beats $299 but I am sure other good deals will come and go.
  16. So you are saying that if we get an empty clip to close the VV window and reopen it via Open Editor and the clip will be there?
  17. I just bought the basic Melodyne and one time it created a blank region. I need to play with pre-bouncing and gain to see if that matters (a la Please Work V-Vocal.)
  18. Send any examples you can to Noel. V-Vocal isn't supported anymore but it might help determine if something else is happening especially with clip bouncing or if the issue is really is with Melodyne. I know there are many suggestions going back 10 years on how to make V-Vocal work reliably but in reality it's dependent on your project and how memory is being used. The simpler the project, the less likely it is that V-Vocal will crash but as you build it up it will eventually go south. Try everyone's suggestions - one might work. Melodyne has been known for being very stable but maybe it's now running into similar issues. The developers need example projects to fix it.
  19. I'm seeing this with V-Vocal and clip bouncing too. I wonder if it's related. I sent a problem project to Noel.
  20. I think pitchforks and torches are bit over the top in this instance.
  21. Check your PMs. I am no sure what the forum's policy is on product placements. Don't expect much more than 20ft of range though depending on your walls.
  22. John's point is important but as far as transmitters what doesn't look promising? I've bought three different transmitters and they all work. Charge, input music, connect, listen. It is challenging to connect with devices that don't have a display so you know what you are connecting to. None that I have use a PIN though. I use one to listen to the output of Cakewalk via my headphone jack when I am doing other things. Works fine. I would never attempt to record with it unless I planned on doing a lot of time sliding. The delay is at least 50ms
  23. That's something I noticed about the Casio - the huge about of data it dumps out when you are playing.
  24. Latency Monitor never showed any issue even when the noise/glitching was happening. But certainly, if it's complaining, fix it.
  25. Watch for Casio MG-500/510 Midi Guitars. I have one and it tracks pretty dang well.
