as soon as I press the start button, Sonar freezes within half a second since I started messing around with the NRPN I had selected rev_mode the range is just as limited here - editing is hardly possible

I have never seen an example anywhere of how to trigger something with NRPN/RPN in the Remote Control window. Do you know how to do this and which values I could try...

Well, I'm trying to figure out what this value in the "Edit Node" --> Level 0.208 means exactly. It's a percentage value - the VST-Parameter percentage value, I think, and probably has nothing to do with NRPN or MIDI CC. This value goes with the envelopenode from 0-100. Spire Synth changes the reverb display when it passes through a node. More I can't say... Thx

Very low Parametervalues are needed to control the seven different reverbs on my Spire Synth via VST parameters. To be more precise, values of less than one percent, as you can see in the attached photo. I created an envelope with values of Plate 1 0,1% Plate 2 0,2% Hall 0,3% Sparkles 0,4% Ambience 0,5% Dmension 0,6% Aura 0,7& and how could you control these values with a MIDI CC (Remote Control) since the MIDI CC cannot be below the value 1...? Is there any other way outside Edit-Filter Envelopes to edit this somehow?

In this clip I will show how the “Nexus 4” synth (as an example) can be triggered in its MIDI learn function with the help of "Blue Cat Audio" Remote Control. For this I use three MIDI controllers. "Nectar GXP" MIDI-Keyboard is used to trigger notes and play the synth. For the use of MIDI CC data, “Beatstep Pro” Step-Sequencer (by Arturia) in "control mode", is the secound MIDI device. Finally "Touch Portal" on my 12" Andriod tablet, is chosen as a third MIDI CC Controller. ACT (Active Controller Technology) by Sonar is unfortunately a bit old and I have often been annoyed by the inadequate support of Sonar in the remote control area... Hi and Hello again, the topic has been raised sometimes in recent years: why doesn't the row double after the 12th Assign Knob at the latest? It may be incomprehensible to some users why someone uses this bar so intensive, but it's really annoying when you have to drag the synth rack so long to make further assignments. The wonderful thing about these assignment controllers is that you can easily apply the PlugIn parameter settings to other presets, which is not so easily the case with envelopes. This saves a lot of time if, for example, you have assigned 64 parameter settings for the synth's integrated ARP (which is not possible at all) Hm, also, I still don't really understand the relationship between the envelopes and these assignment knobs...? If you assign a remote command to an envelope, it also appears in the Synth Rack (remote selection) - but the other way around is not the case... I don't know if that's still the case, but the number of controllers was also limited and as far as I can remember, 20 or 30 assignments ended...?

Why not make a simple person happy..? 😃 If it is technically possible, then it would be fantastic if you could use an additional Remote Function in the Synth Rack to immediately bring up all VIs and Plug-Ins with a (CC) MIDI controller...

All right, the track pane is basically some sort of a track manager, but unfortunately individual tracks cannot be hidden so easily and presets cannot be created either. This tool is still visible from the Stone Age phase of Cakewalk. Tracks have no track number, MSR is shown in brackets: (muted). The ideal track manager, from my completely unimportant and incompetent point of view, would be a synthesis of Track Pane, Track Manager, Sort Tracks View and Track Pane Manager. Good Helloween joke, isn't it??

For those there is a Sonar listed Shortcut: CTRL+F4 "Close current floating window" What does Ctrl Windows F4 do? -- Ctrl + F4 - Close the active document (in apps that are full-screen and let you have multiple documents open at the same time).

Firstly, it would be great if I could deactivate this blue docking area that opens when you move floating windows around the screen. You can suppress it using the key combination "Left Mouse Button + CTRL", but this is impractical and annoyingly the windows keep snapping into place. You also have to be very careful not release the CTRL-key in this process while moving before releasing the left mouse button, otherwise it fails. For my part, I don't need the docking function at all and could easily do without it. Point two: Unfortunately, it also happens that important decisions and confirmation windows appear or disappear under the floating windows which are already open. In this case, continuing to work becomes difficult or impossible. Sometimes opening the Windows task manager helps me out of trouble, but it's not really fun.

In the BitWig Studio DAW, the track manager is an existing element in the main workflow. Unfortunately the Sonar track manager isn't displayed in color and not expanded like the synth-rack window. You also can't continue working when track manager is open. It is also one of those Sonar windows that you can open, but cannot close again with the same keystroke (shortcut)... that can end badly in "Floating Windows" mode, because it can easily end up behind an open window. I fiddled around with it for a long time until I found a solution to close these windows --> "Actual Tool. I think this tool gives a wonderful control over all tracks and individual presets can be created to make the workflow easier. If MSR, Write and Read could be integrated that would be a great step forward. Using screensets as an alternative I found not so practical…

Hi Mrs Cakewalk and Mr Sonar, I want to adress 3 Layers of my virtual MIDI Controller (Touch Portal) to Spire Synth (Reveal) which takes about 160 MIDI Ccs. The way I prefer to do this is the MIDI learn function inside of Spire Synth. I don’t want to realize this using Sonar envelopes in MIDI lanes or ACT. For me, as a long time user, Remote Control and MIDI learn (ACT) inside of Cakewalk/Sonar always ware hard nuts for the last 10 or 15 years… Maybe my understanding of MIDI is still not enough to realize my unprofessional ideas, but I’m sure you will try to help me out of my troubles for the charge of 15 a month…?
