  1. I haven't read what other people have said. It's got an evocative beat and driving bass. Sounds like it is mixed pretty well. I usually like more structired stuff, but this has definite possibilities. I think it needs a compelling storyline to pull everything together. Try some of the AI sites to try and see what they can supply for lyrics. Maybe even a talking vocal.
  2. Nice song, but it's pretty hard to deny that particular theorem LOL.
  3. A little pre-Christmas Beatles covering. https://baselines.com/?p=7227
  4. Thanks for watching Bjorn. Looking at those first transatalantic videos really highlights how far we have come! Steve
  5. Yes. The synth sound I started the song with reminded me of Telstar, so I decided to put the middle section in. Then the lyrics were built around that concept. Here's the video I put together:
  6. Hi Nigel - it sure is. I'm starting to think about next year's album - I'm going to try and break out of my habits and try new stuff, so it will be even more work. But I couldn't survive without doing this, even though it'll never make me rich! Thank you for always checking up on me - I really appreciate it. Steve
  7. I've finally finished this year's album. This is my third studio album release. It's called Charm. You can listen to it here: https://stevekeith1.bandcamp.com/album/charm You can also find it in all the usual outlets, including Spotify here:
  8. Thanks for listening Andy! Steve
  9. Starting in October 2024, this has been happening regularly to me. I don't know whether it is related, but when I open old projects that worked fine before October, some of the plugins are not found (Native Instruments mostly) - It tells me to open up a new Kontakt track and all will be better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and I have to create a new track.
  10. Thank you! I wrote the acoustic guitar part first. At the time I was reading Keith Richard's book, and he talked about how open G tuning gave him the signature Rolling Stones guitar sound. I started fooling around with it and this is what came out. Steve
  11. Cool song. I like the bass guitar a lot. The harmonies and that guitar in the middle are really good.
  12. I've been away a while. We went almost cross country starting at the end of September (even our old dog came along!) - 20+ states, Niagara Falls, Badlands, Rushmore, Yellowstone, Old Faithful, Grand Canyon, Utah LDS compound, Cadillac Ranch, Oklahoma bombing site, Arksas Statehouse, Memphis, Elvis, Nashville. Really fun trip - planning done by my wife so I just enjoyed the ride LOL. Trying to catch up with everything now. One thing we saw was the Family Geneology Building. (FREE!) - you should try it: https://www.familysearch.org/ This is the last song on my new album Charm, scheduled for December release. I had help on some of the lyric ideas from my friend Dave Loehr. https://baselines.com/?p=7197
  13. Great song to cover. Your version is really nice. Good work.
  14. I like this a lot. The only thing I would change is the snare drum. The story fits the music and your voice is perfect. I like the harmonies as well.
  15. Very well done. It is authentic.
  16. Nice smooth sound with good syncopation.
  17. Nice work on this. I like the bass tone.
  18. Nothing makes sense until it does. Great line. Another great sounding song!
  19. I've noticed problems with Kontakt based instruments. Both Credona Strings and Session Horns Pro caused troubles. I had to reinstall. I'm also now having a problem loading up CBB. It's minor, it says something is running in the background and then when I accept the message it loads anyway.
  20. Thank you Wookiee - I may try to get that shaker down in the mix. I've been away for the last few weeke, driving cross country, but now I am back home.
