Hi Bjorn thank you. I hadn’t really thought about the music being upbeat. But I am now. Thank you for the input. I figured the minor key would do it, but maybe it needs more. steve

Thank you Treesha. Your comment meant a lot to me. Steve

Michele Fortunato from Bandlab added the trombone (a real instrument) over the rest of the midi horns in the middle, accompanied by a couple of Ukulele tracks. https://baselines.com/?p=7426

Well, I decided to sing this one myself (maybe not my best decision ever LOL) - But it sounds OK to me, and more of what I had in mind. Darren Garrett still does the Choir vocals at the end. https://baselines.com/?p=7422

My worst nightmare involves me being sloppy on the table saw. It's a fear that amplifies as I get older. Congrats on winning the battle and continuing on. I like your song, sounds really nice. Keep on keeping on!

This would sound great on those large movie theater speakers. I actually helped install some of those at a local theater ( I would never climb those ladders now). There were four huge speakers around the theatre and one even bigger one right behind the screen. This would blow you back in your seat if it was played on a system like that! Steve

Nice. Sounds really well put together. What do you use for the kick? I like the percussion rhythms and the tinkling keys. The verb effect on the vocal in the middle there is nice. I like the vocals a lot. Steve

Hey thanks! I appreciate the nice comment. Steve

Thanks Nigel - nobody has commented on this yet, but I was hoping somebody would catch it - the ending of the song, the strings do a minor version of Adestes Fidelis. (Oh come let us adore him). Yes, I'm going to Hell for sure.

Hi! Yeah I imagine it's different now. This vignette was from an experience in 1978, at a hospital that is no longer in existence. Things change, sometimes for the worse. I'm not sure anyplace is truly quiet anymore. Thanks for dropping a comment, and hope you are doing well.

Short and simple is not a bad thing. This song sounds great. Like the vocal harmonies, what are those, 4ths? Nice vocal. Really well done, I love it.

Thanks a lot Nigel! It's probably not a subject that's going to end up in a top 40 song, but it doesn't matter in the long run....what comes out, comes out. Steve

A beautiful song. Again the excellent drum sound. Do you know the people in your videos? Steve

I like those delays, then the break about a minute in is really creative. Nice work!

Nice job Ross - I like the straightforward drums that move the track forward. They are mixed really nicely.

Everything Changes (Changes Everything) rock instrumental

Cool I like those surprise chord changes in the middle. Addictive Drums is a good product. I haven't used it for a while since I got Superior Drums 3 (Toontrack). I believe they had a set called Blue Velvet which I used a lot. The panning is professionally done in my opinion. Nice work. Steve -
Thanks Treesha -I liked how the lyrics came out - I was able to put in several references that some holy rollers might find offensive, but my opinion is that St. Peter will be OK with it when I get there. In fact he might think it was clever, I am hoping. Steve

Please, St Peter put a good word in for me. Please, have mercy, don’t deny my woeful plea . https://baselines.com/?p=7418

The stillness of the late-night hospital room is broken only by the gentle pulse of monitors. The air is thick with the overpowering perfume of flowers—an offering of comfort that feels almost intrusive. It’s quiet, but not peaceful. https://baselines.com/?p=7413

This is a song by the Global Remotes, a Bandlab band. @cocobark on piano and vocals, @gbaily on guitar, and @steve2k2 on bass, drums, synth and guitar. https://baselines.com/?p=5104

Thanks for listening!

Thanks Nigel - This was first written when I was transitioning from EZ Drummer to Superior Drummer 3. I have both of those on this track, but the main part is with Superior Drummer 3.

Thanks for the idea Rik - maybe when I pick this one up again, I'll put something in there. I'll keep that in mind.

I hear ya. I have only a few hardware pieces. I got the Babyface Pro, and I use the Behringer 8 Channel ADAT - Other than that, it's all plugins. I got the subscription to the Spark program which has a lot of Channel Strips, but I haven't tried them very much. The ones I have tried have too many knobs in one place, for me a recipe for disaster! When I first got the subscription, I used the 1176 compressors a lot, but I have moved to the LA-3A which currently I like. Perhaps in a few months I'll do the same thing and remove all the LA-3As and move to something else.
