  1. Thanks Kevin - well that made me feel like all the effort was worth it! I'm glad you liked it. Steve
  2. Well done particularly the vocal.
  3. A really good listen Barry - I always like your lyrics. I think you should go with your instincts about the strings. To me, the song is already good without them, but maybe they just need to be pulled back a little. Steve
  4. Nice work on this. It flows very smoothly.

Nice work! Was that image a fractal inspired graphic? The bass is really nice on this one.
  6. Great choice of backing. Love those chords with the second (I believe) added. The guitar lead sounds great!
  7. A mental health day is the best idea! https://baselines.com/?p=7399
  8. Thank you for the great comment! About the drums, I agree I struggled with them. I kept taking little pieces out throughout the process. I want to try to make drums interesting where I can, I probably still overdid it! The original lyric was 'the sky' but it was too tempting to turn it into 'this guy'. 🙂 Steve
  9. An original tune, updated for 2025. I used a bunch of my UAD goodies. I'm seriously considering getting FabFilter Pro Q 4, looks incredible. Any one have any feedback on that? https://baselines.com/?p=7393
  10. Hi Kevin - thanks for listening! They use that octave vocal on a few of their songs - I really like that effect. Steve
  11. Hi Jim - thanks for the kind words. Those guys had a bunch of hits. Maybe the biggest I remember is Tempted by the Fruit of Another - with Elvis Costello. Steve
  12. Nice funky groove Mark, good work. Did you sign up for Sonar or are you using the free one? I just upgraded to a win 11 computer, and installed the latest free version on it. Pretty impressive. I was able to go to the old Cakewalk site and get the extras, like Dimension Pro, Z3ta, Rapture, etc. So far so good. The delayed startup at the beginning is a bit of a dick move, but overall, a good quality release.
  13. Very cool! I can hear a lot of work went into this - I'm assuming the bass was a synth as well? If so, what did you use? It sound pretty close to a fretless. Steve
  14. Hi Kevin! you feel the car as it bounces over your tomb CLASSIC!!! I love this song, really good. You caught me in the middle of having a few, so now I will be adding a few more! Steve
  15. Cool song Paul - love that changeup in the middle there. Lyrics are cool and relatable.
  16. Very professional. Nice job.
  17. Thank you for listening! All the music tracks are by me, but I copied some of the traffic sounds from the record. Steve
  18. Thanks Kevin - Brings back memories for me too!
  19. Thanks Jim - I try to dig out info - it always surprises me there is some fact in there that I didn't know. Steve
  20. Hi Nigel - thanks a lot! One of the guys on Bandlab is a Squeeze fan and he asked me to do it. I'd love to do Pulling Mussels at some point. Steve
  21. Hi Paul - thank you for listening!
  22. Shine when others tell you that the world we know is a ball of confusion. https://baselines.com/?p=7381
  23. Nice old Squeeze song from the 80s- I have a lot higher respect for the lead guitarist Glenn Tilbrook now - what a nice solo. https://baselines.com/?p=7378
