Sounds great. I bet it took a while to get that video together!
-
I redid it with a new vocal and your suggestions. Thanks!

Here's my version of an old King Harvest hit from 1972. https://baselines.com/?p=6444 Here's a quote by Sherman Kelly, who penned the song: On a trip to St. Croix in 1969, I was the first victim of a vicious St. Croix gang who eventually murdered 8 American tourists. At that time, I suffered multiple facial fractures and wounds and was left for dead. While I was recovering, I wrote "Dancin In The Moonlight" in which I envisioned an alternate reality, the dream of a peaceful and joyful celebration of life.

This is incredible. Great job. One of the best I have heard here. You got all the nuances, I loved it.

Hi Kurt - thanks for listening. Steve

Thanks for listening David. Steve

Thanks Lynn - Your feedback made me feel great! Steve

Cool song...I think that the drive behind it needs refining. That being the bass and drums. From what I could hear, it is not just the volume, it might need simplification, or a better match between what the bass and drums are doing. Steve

Gary, if you send me your gmail, I will put it up on Google Drive, if that's OK. Steve

Hi Douglas! Thanks for listening. Steve
-
Gary, you want to take a listen to a song of mine and maybe decide if you'd like to sing it for me?
-
Love it. I'm a country boy at heart I guess. Old country. Great tone on the vocal. Very clean and mellow. Easy to listen too. Great job.

Original ideas Jack. Good work here.

Hi Larry! Thank you for the feedback. Steve

This is a Casio CDP-S350. The only other instruments are Native Instruments Cremona Quartet (2 Violins, Cello, Viola), Session Horns Pro , Native Instruments Strings for the Double Bass and a Fender Precision real bass with Superior Drums kick to accompany the fender bass notes. I think maybe you were listening to the Private Lightning player that I had at the bottom of the post. I looked at the page and particularly on a mobile device it is confusing. I removed the player from the bottom of the page.

Nice work on this one, I like it. I agree with Jack about the voice. It sounds a little lost in the mix to me. You've probably heard this before, but it reminds me a little of Phil Collins and Genesis.

Hi Jack - I think this comment might be for a different song. Steve

Absolutely! Thanks Tom.

Here's a song I wrote on my new piano I got for Christmas, the first one! It's maybe supposed to signify the relationships you form throughout your life, the happy and sad moments and then alone again till the end. ? https://baselines.com/?p=6395

Hi Tim, yes it has been an interesting ride! Except for bass and most of the guitars, it is all midi plugins. Since I enjoy doing a direct copy, I put a copy of the original on a track, set the tempo map up to it, and then (sometimes painstakingly!) figure out each track. I'm not a great singer by any stretch, but having the original vocal available helps me to try and get some sort of acceptable vocal. Then there's Melodyne LOL. Steve

Thanks very much! I hope you like them all! Steve
