You should use Wordpad instead. With that you can add eighth notes and use hexadecimal. That will cut your release time down to years instead of decades ?

Thank you for your feedback Tim!

Exactly! Thanks for listening.

I like that they didn't abandon me without a solution. I had recently (at the time they threw in the towel) purchased the forever free updates version, which is seamless to the way it is now. I like that the software developers are competent and pay attention to detail. The changes they have made all seem to make sense. I like that the documentation is now so much easier to find things in. I really like the improvements in tempo map (but I think the last update messed with the tempo line resizing - it's not as easy to zoom now) and in combining sections of a track without clicks, pops or other noises (without having to spend an hour to find the right spots) I like that the product has been pretty much crash free for me for a long time. The one thing I don't like is that sometimes when doing things like typing in a track name, I haven't made it so it was editable, and it leads to a lot of unintended keystroke settings that do not get tracked in the undo stack. That's caused by me though, so can't really blame the software for that. I haven't had to use any of the transient stuff, so I don't know how much that has improved...it wasn't good for a long time in my opinion. The fact that I don't have to use it is because of the improvements made elsewhere.

Thank you for listening and commenting Larry! -
Absolutely Mark. Can you imagine the things he could do today? His expression is priceless. Thanks for watching.

Here's my version of a great old Duke Ellington Song that was redone by Steely Dan on their Pretzel Logic album. Accompanying this audio is a video of select Buster Keaton clips. Buster was a comic genius way way way ahead of his time. Both Audio and Video available here: https://baselines.com/?p=6373 Video on Youtube available here:

Thanks Kevin. At the bottom of my home page , there is a player with some of the songs from our Private Lightning album released back in the 80's on A&M. If you get a chance and are interested, check those out. https://baselines.com Steve -
Absolutely!! And no more carrying that Ampeg up two flights of stairs and back down at 3AM LOL!!

That's fine, Kevin. My length comment was more oriented towards a single. People (younger) tend to get bored REALLY quickly these days and will switch away after less than a minute. For an album cut, it's different. Good luck on the final product, I'll be listening for it. Steve

I like it - you asked for suggestions so I have some. You may hate it, but they're my comments anyway ? I think it would benefit from being shorter. Get the vocal in there quicker. Maybe excite the snare a little. Pull up the under 50hz a little and the over 10K a little. Maximize a little higher, perhaps -7.8db Widen the mids. I did some edits which you can toss if you don't agree, but here's my idea. https://www.baselines.com/brand_new_day.wav Steve

I don't want to make light of childbirth, because I know what's involved. However, getting this album out took almost as much energy! Thank you for all the support I got on this forum, I really appreciate all of you who listen to my stuff and offer me feedback. You are the best. https://stevekeith1.bandcamp.com/album/the-instrumentalist Best wishes to all for a happy and enjoyable Christmas season (or whatever else you may celebrate). Steve

Wow! Smooth clear productions and excellent performance. I love this type of feel and the intricate mix of tracks. I could see the players playing, which is always my test for good production. Only thing I would say is maybe a TINY touch of more reverb or image widening, but that's just my taste and may not be what others like.,

NIce job Wookiee. That low synth sound is reminiscent of ELP's early work on Moog and those keyboard runs up and down are nice.

Nice job on this. The vocals are surreal.
