  1. Thank you Jim - I came very close to covering DayDream until I remembered I couldn't whistle very well ?
  2. I know what you mean Kevin. One thing that I do that is along the same lines and also very annoying is to 'select all' and export only to get an empty wave file because it selected all the busses instead of tracks. It seems that this should be easy to default to selecting the tracks rather than the busses, but in the long run it is just my error.
  3. Nice chord progression and nice mix too - good work. I could have stood for the guitars at the beginning to be more heavy and in your face, but you were probably going for more laid back. Either way sounds good.
  4. I listened to this on Bandlab whilst driving the 50 miles to my home - I really enjoyed it, so much that I listened twice ?
  5. Thanks for the lyrics! They show a deep understanding of the human condition ?
  6. Nice sounding electric on that track Kevin. Do you have RX? You might be able to get rid of that knocking without redoing the track. I have it here if you want to send me the acoustic track I will give it a try.
  7. Oh I just love this. Can you post the lyrics if you get a moment. I got most of them. But maybe I missed a nugget here and there. More of this please.
  8. Really pretty incredible - great work. I like the nice sync between the music and the video. Well done.
  9. Thanks Freddy! It was one of my all time favorites from that era. Steve
  10. Nice vibe, and named for one of my favorite nighttime viewing objects. Well done!
  11. ? It was a GREAT time to be listening to AM radio - here it was WRKO and earlier WMEX. WMEX had the venerable Arnie Woo Woo Ginsberg in the late 50s early 60s, more my sisters generation, but I remember some of it in the car. It was the Ruby Baby and Bobby Rydell generation of songs (Bobby just recently passed on). But WRKO was a great station in the late 60s early seventies with DJs that had actual personalities. Even the novelty/niche songs were good (Hey There Little Red Riding Hood, Timothy, DOA, 96 Tears)
  12. I just watched your video - thanks for uploading that. It took me a long time to find out you could drag the song to the bar up at the top - Cakewalk documentation used to be really hard to find things in for me for some reason. I always need to edit the tempo line - I remove a lot of the nodes and try to make the changes as smooth as possible by looking at the wave file to pick out the low frequency kicks and the mid frequency snares. I usually fond out that it can be a bit off over larger stretches of time, but it is better than having the tempo map instantaneously switch by many bpm at a time. It's a labor intensive project but pays off I think in the long run.
  13. Hey thanks Tom - I started out with a tempo map from a download of the original so I think the tempo is right. I think it may sound rushed because maybe I couldn't keep up with the vocal as well as I should! The opening piano is in C minor, which seems like the right key. Steve
  14. Hey Mark - great minds think alike LOL. Thanks for listening. Steve
  15. That is a cool memory, thanks for sharing. Take a look at my memory which I just posted to John Vere's mail. There's a youtube video of the Lovin Spoonful doing this song (from the 60's it looks like) and then there's another one that is more recent. (White beard LOL)
  16. I didn't have an Autoharp plugin and the one I found was like 50 euros. Maybe I'll look around again. Thanks for your memory. I was the same age! About 1980 or so, my band opened up for John Sebastian up in Maine. He was a very low key nice guy. It was funny, because when we got home after the gig, the movie One Trick Pony was on and he appeared in it wearing the same red and white shirt he was wearing for the concert!
  17. Yeah I bet there are hundreds of songs out there with a progression similar to that one. 25 or 6 to 4 comes to mind. At least White Room had the 5/4 part in it, probably they added that so there would be no legal action LOL.
  18. Hi Clint - yes I can see that. Even today it would be exciting to hear this being played live.
