  1. Waves had a bad reputation with their WUP at the beginning of the century. iLok also had a reputation for ruining hard drives back then. Those don't die quickly. Waves also has the worst licensing model along with Steinberg, How many people are willing to pay $200 for a plugin with WUP? At the same time both companies often don't have mediocre products either.
  2. That's why developers don't bother with Linux.
  3. The only blessing to that is you often cut down on apps only to start the cycle of acquiring more stuff.
  4. I'm sure that 72gb is a major seller for a synth.
  5. You can create your own stuff. I haven't watched the full tutorials yet.
  6. Unfortunately some developers are offering better deals direct instead of the distributors slugging it out.
  7. I remember when a 500gb drive was the max and I had a Seagate the lasted over a decade. I still have some WD Blue 320gb drives I use for archiving. I usually use at least 5 SATA ports on each machine. I'm thinking of getting a 4tb HDD and going with 3 1TB SSD drives for libraries.
  8. I don't like forfeiting the SATA ports to use them.
  9. Anyone remember audiomidi?
  10. https://www.timespace.com/password
  11. I've use folders and then Explorer.
  12. Pass. I got Medla's Soundfactory. No WUP, lifetime updates, install it on many machines as you want. No need for a DIY wannabee dongle.
  13. A 2tb with a 2yr warranty valid until Dec. went bad. It was under $60. I still can't afford a SSD that size. I paid $12 for an exchange. I'm not sure I can get any data off it. It doesn't bother me since my 2 other systems have similar data. I woke up this morning with a strange sound that doesn't sound like your everyday drive failure. There were no previous signs of it going bad (just like every drive these days) SMART is useless. At some point I'd like to cut down on disk size and replace them with 1TB drives. 1st Seagate I've had to RMA.
  14. This should be under Bullshit instead of Deals. Still tryin to shove the sub model.
  15. Quite the truth. If I had to chose between a sub and death, I'd go with PA. They also add plugins to their sub. BTW I used my generic voucher. Can I use it again and I do the survey ones work? I may go for if if I can get a $25 code.
  16. i'm saying no since I found out Shake Shimmer Strike was still on sale. I have so many plugins I haven't even opened up only doe authorization. I'm not a fan of subs but PA's may be the best one around. Many of us buy a plugin a month from them and that isn't much different.
  17. Also refurbished. Trust factor is always low for me.
  18. I have it and not really used it. It's not alone.
  19. Nice to see them getting in the the budget market. I'd get this but it would collect space. I would think equivalents would be found in the Arturia collection, Spire, and Serum.
  20. I thought about this but with everything from Rigid Audio there is probably an equivalent. While supplies last = easy pass.
  21. It's probably fake product. For Soundpaint it should be 9gb.
