Nope, they are iLok based. My reasoning is the same for adding more PA stuff even though I have some Sound Toys stuff.

Thinking about Tantra but I have Gross Beat, MRhythmizer, Cable Guys, plus The 2 Izotope things. Looking at Hawkeye. I should blow this off since it will only add the a DAW plugin scan. When does one say no when you have Melda, T Racks, Izotope, Waves, and then the ignorance of already having that PA plugin.

I would think writing a good manual is harder than developing. It would be easy to leave something out that they take for granted. I also have a short attention span when it comes to videos. I have subs for two of the video tutorial sights. I have back log on those as well. It's hard to devote 4 hours just to learn a plugin.

The one in the Kontakt library is decent.

Anyone else have issues with legacy (non Syncron) VSL - Solved
kitekrazy1 replied to kitekrazy1's topic in Deals
I DID! I don't recall how this happened but for some reason they were in iLok Cloud. -
I have a system that has SE 1 and 2 but not of them show up in Vienna Ensemble I assume these players were updated for iLok and erased the legacy ones. I've tried all sorts of things. They are activated in iLok. They only thing that shows up is Epic Orchestra 1.0. I have 3 machines with different VSL licenses. This system has SE 1,2. Epic Orchestra 1, Perc. 1 (which doesn't show up in iLok) I can't afford to turn those into synchron instruments yet. Maybe I'm missing something obvious.

Humble Bundle Mega Sound Designer Loop Creator Bundle

Weren't those free at one time? -
Their music is a rocket science compared to what's out today. To mimic their style would be a great achievement. All of these music legends are eventually going to die of old age and their are no replacements. I regret never getting to see them or Van Halen.

I think I'm done with Komplete upgrades until a new version of their plugins come along. It's really gotten to be overwhelming to explore and use. Sure it's great for people starting out but with the abundance of 3rd party products most stuff in Kpmplete is easy to ignore.

I'm amazed how you get your head around Melda stuff. For some these always look complex. Do you read the manuals or play around with them. I always found Melda's biggest weakness is video content of how to use their stuff. The 3rd party tutorial sites don't bother with Melda. Sure they've gotten better but it seems like they hold back their greatness by lack of instruction and few people have the discipline to read a manual.

This is something I should consider doing.

Free GPU-powered FIR Convolution Reverb from GPU Audio

Some developers just need to write better code instead of relying on GPUs. -

I tend to ignore Izotope deals because they are confusing.

Perfect for Soundpaint. -
A first impression without reading the post would be some using it to peddle their used wares.

Another free product just to install another download manager.

if you find DAWs too difficult to use...
kitekrazy1 replied to jackson white's topic in The Coffee House
It just shows you how out of touch the media is in general. FL Studio and Live are popular because you can create something right away. Beyond the surface these get very complex. We live in a generation wanting instant results. How is this any different than learning an instrument. You could spend all day on a guitar playing an e minor chord or a Bb scale on a trombone but eventually one will have to desire to go deeper. The average person likes to do things on a phone and there are beatmaking apps and that's as far as they want to go. I think they've done more than enough in music software to make something simple. Some companies figured out that that home studio or hobbyist is a bigger market than the professionals. -
That just shows you I've been out of touch with Valve in general. Their offerings like L4D and Portal never drew me in despite having them. HL2 will have a long existence with mods until it's broken in Windows. Command and Conquer series was great but CnC3 you could tell it was going down hill. There is a STALKER 2 being developed but it's not the same developer and so far they sys requirements are a testament how clueless game developers have become.

It seems like a nice upgrade except for price. I thought they were going in a direction of free DAW and make revenue from they synths. I never really liked it anyway. Bandlab and FL Studio seem more impressive every day. Like all developers they overprice their extreme package. I can't imagine someone paying a grand for a DAW loaded with software unless you are a professional.

Interesting since they do hardware mods. Looks like a rebranded MOTU unit. -
Same must be said about Waves.
