  1. True. It's 10 times faster in the track view. Doesn't convert Midi to envelope works for this purpose? I basically do the same for the pitch wheel and modulation information that has been written in during recording and tweak them in the track view to perfection.
  2. You can also move all your samples and libraries to your C drive and keep your C drive clean for all your installations? This way when you decide to redo your windows drive over in the future you'll keep all you personal documents - instead of programs installed on both drives? Easier to be organized that way. So whatever you have on the Cdrive such as: songs, videos, photos, samples, projects, presets or libraries - move everything to your D drive and keep all your installations on your windows drive.
  3. Check if your clips are not locked by accident. ☺
  4. Have you changed this before?
  5. Yes. You can use the virtual keyboard within Cakewalk. Nothing wrong with that. Here emmy nominated songs out that was used sith only the keyboard of your computer and mouse using the virtual keyboard the comes with cakewalk. It's also not as limited as some of the comments say and claim it to be. All you need is a little patient and know some chords. Dont let people tell that you can't use it or its better to buy a physical keyboard. Use what you have at you disposal right now and make the most of it.
  6. Lets make this a package request on Naming. Also the option to insert multiple tracks with the shortcut CTRL+T with a dialogue for both Audio and Instruments and to RENAME them.
  7. @Jim Fogle I think he is referring to the way he had done this in the past by bringing light to the pros and cons to those. He pretty much does say the video is only pro. It's literally the only way to do this in the DAW at the moment. You can also pretty much leave the compressor on the Bus. I just prefer the direct approach to this.
  8. I will try my best in uploading them next week. ☺
  9. ☺ Thank you Jim. It's something i've been using forever sending stems to clients. There's also more than 3 ways of doing sidechain within CbB.
  10. Technically you don't have to move the plugin from the bus channel. All you need to remember is to tick the BusFX box in Mix Enables on the Bounce to Track window. The reason why I chose both little boxes was because it's a habit seeing that I always have an extra compressor and EQ after the sidechain compressor. Experiment with this until you mastered the technique. Play it loud.
  11. Aren't they the same? But yes. That could be the reason. I mainly use num keys on the right of my keyboard to nudge or Ctrl+2 and 8 | OR |Shift+2 or 8 (to move things Up and Down) you can also use the directional keys for these. So maybe during a workflow - you''ve accidentally hit one of these unknowingly?
  12. Few comes to mind. The common one would be the Num key 2. Then there are the default shortcut keys. Make sure you dont have any custom key bind to any of these.
  13. Is this solved yet? Lookig at this: it seems you still have the voices solo'd when you playback the bounced track with the recorded clips. This sometimes creates a latency issue in playback until you stop the plackback, mute all other tracks - and only listening to the bounced track.
  14. Do the cut, right click on the clip and scroll up to "Bounce to Clip."
  15. Go to Preferences / Keyboard Shortcuts. In the next windows locate the search box and type in reverse or reverse clip and create your desired shortcut key. Or Go to Process >> Apply Effect and Reverse. ☺
  16. 32x isn't really needed you know. An oversampling setting of 4x is pretty much all you need.
  17. Too lazy to search now: but, I think this was a user request to have less nodes when recording automation. Cakewalk used to record and display nodes on every movement of the envelope. Everybody anyhow uses plugins these days for a perfect vibrato. There's really great free Tremelo effect plugins on there that you can use with only 4 nodes on every region its used on. That's why every vibrato you hear in a track sounds so perfect. It's either done with an editor like melodyne or with a tremelo vst plugin on Audio Tracks and of course the modulation wheel of a midi keyboard. I hear and understand your argument though.
  18. Then you're doing it wrong yes. ☺ What you want to do is: Create a New Bus or Aux Track and insert Vocal Rider on it. Next you want to route the OUTPUT of the vocal to the Bus or Aux track itself. Finally send the instrumental file as a SEND to the plugin Input. It should read something like (if my memory serves me well) "Vocal Rider Mono/Stereo (Input 2) Bus/Aux." This will activate once you press play. Sorry I can't send you a video right now to demonstrate this - i'm not at my home studio. Out with the little one.
  19. Heres the thing with Windows computers I don't understand. I have an intel i7-6th Gen Cpu. Just added another 8GB of Ram a week ago, so I sit with 24GB of Ram (need one more 8gb to make that 32gb official.) A fellow producer has an i5 - 9th gen cpu and 32gb ram and performs better than my system.
  20. Try it - your picture will come to life.
  21. Works fine here. Latest build 058. Infact you don't have to click on the track header. I click directly on the track view to where I wana paste. The only time i do drop the f-bomb - its when the loop is on and I do a paste.
  22. Lol! Language please.
  23. Thanks. Although: ? Let's not take what was said out of context by reading too much into it. After all, I did say whatever the ingredients will be without giving themselves a headache when doing this (or something like that.)
