  1. It Duplicate the clips. Highlight any clip that has nothing behind it and try it.
  2. My honest opinion: This is from my current experience - NO! They are not. (Not sure about the MBP though.) My comparison here are between my Surface Studio and iMac and I can say with confidence that my Surfce Studio are a beast against the iMac even though theres a two Gen difference between them, with the iMac having bigger specs. It's just heavy on effects! It's ridiculous. As soon as I hit that 350 effects mark on the iMac it starts to show some strain. With the Surface Studio in the same DAW (windows version,) I easily and comfortably work beyond that 350 and all I did was saved that project with effects on the Mac and did a project conversion on the Surface Studio and opened the project.
  3. This is true. Had the same argument in another thread about this. I too moved over to Mac in 2020. Not because I wanted to, but because of business. Where many was unfortunate to grow through the pandemic, I was fortunate to have and the demands from business partners i gained (labels) and few other collaborations required me to have a MACINTOSH and Logic pro and Pro tools. So as stated above, i wisely invested in one, wasnt cheap, but today im not disappointed (Business wise.) The sad reality and truth is that most major international studio worldwide operate in mac. I still prefer Windows systems for all my personal home computers. I don't think i will ever buy a macbook for personal usage.
  4. This is true. I thought I was pressing a key to remove melodyne.
  5. Wow! The last time an apple caused this much commotion involved Adam, Eve and a Snake. ??‍♂️
  6. ? Strange. I've literally done a stretch on a vocal 20 mins ago to send to the client and there was nothing wrong with it.
  7. Is it still there? Normally my experience while doing a copy and paste or duplicate during playback, I get that delay/echo effect. It goes away when press stop and play again. Try to delete everything that was copied and paste and do Ctrl+D right through to your end time.
  8. You could also just check your pitch bend wheel on your Keyboard itself. I had this issue with Alesis 49. It was so frustrating, so i invested in a new keyboard. Might be unrelated to your problem, but every little detail helps.
  9. Or, a fixed MASTER BUS that cant be deleted in the Bus section, with a large meter to it with these display setting? ??‍♂️
  10. K-14 Metering in PT. K-14 in CbB using Span. Look at that perfect level in sweetspot of -18 on Cakewalks dBFS meter. Been using it successfully without any K-System plugins just little over a year. As you can see, it is literally just the metering scale that are missing in cakewalk. Literally just the K-12, K-14, K-20 Meter Scale that are missing and maybe a linear one too.
  11. Quick test: Solo that track, bypass all teh effects and render it with the Stretch on. If it works without any problem, There's a plugin effect that is causing the issue and my guess . . . It's probably set to Upsample on Render.
  12. Been using it 6 months now, although it only came out in November. I do testings for Microsoft on their insider programs. Go for it!
  13. Treat it like you would any other directory or file. Which commands have you used to create it?
  14. Check your antivirus, it might be blocking it and processing it as a potential harmful file for some reason. Check Microsoft Defender too.
  15. Go to the recycle bin and retrieve it back, or, you can just reinstall Cakewalk to get in installed again.
  16. Like i've said: You're taking my words to literal. OVERNIGHT success does not exist. It is but only an expression we all use. There's also the keywords "Should it" that I had used in the quote.
  17. FWIW: There's millions of teenagers that are famous on TikTok, Vine, Youtube, that does music. 14 to 19 year olds (a k.a "TEENAGERS") that have little studios in their bedrooms. Billy Eilish is still one.
  18. I've been saying then this the whole time. Plus, the up and coming teenagers (producers, mixing engineers, Dj's, rappers and singers) that are making money out of their craft amongst one another, that's investing in Macbooks too.
  19. Must you always start an argument and insult people on this forum? Life is to fragile for things like that. Calm down, ice cream always help. Have yourself a great day.
  20. You're taking my words too literal. I already said it here.
  21. You're missing the point. Logic with all it's flaws is attractive ridiculous amount of youth in. The OP's discussion is about Marketing, not so? and that Cakewalk is losing out on it, right? Well, ding-dong! Logic is attracting a lot of traffic and that means, a lot of teenagers are investing in Macbooks or the Desktop. Having a Mac means that they can run Logic or Ableton (Another big "name DAW" among them for some reason) which are both on mac and windows available. Ask around whats their favourite DAW? Logic pops up 70% of the time. So again seeing that you're missing the crucial key words and phrase about, here it is again. If Cakewalk should get a mac version of the DAW i guarantee you, it will rocket to the top in studios OVERNIGHT! Cakewalk was there before. It was in most Major studios around the globe, but because it was unstable at the time - studios shelved it.
  22. I guess you live under a rock then.
  23. I also think it is because every commercial studios out there own Mac systems leaving Cakewalk that are on the same level and standards as The top 7 Absolute. FL Studio Logic Pro Pro Tools Ableton Cubase Reaper Studio One All of these DAWS have a fully function version for Macintosh and Windows systems except for one of course. It's for this reason I had changed to Mac too. My Cakewalk system is now my personal computer in the main house in the study room. I often sit infront of it when I do beats for myself. So, I think it's for this reason that Cakewalk went dead - Macs are the standard system in Studios and Cakewalk doesn't have one. Sonar tried, but it was a fail. I guess they didn't have enough resources to keep working and perfecting it - dont know. Then of course, there's the youth. What teenager these days own a windows system? I'm going to my mid 30's and was forced the past two years throughout the pandemic to invest in a MACINTOSH business wise, because of the demands from clients sending and requesting Mac files and I can say with confidence, I'm not disappointed. Cakewalk will pickup overnight when there's a Mac version available to promote at NAMM should they decide to create a Mac version the next 12 months. This of course will not happen. I'm willing to create one quality short Video for their IG page weekly.
