  1. "A Tribute to the Eighties" I sense a pattern here. But, and this is not meant to be critical, production/instrumentation on this one doesn't scream 80's, at least to me; again not criticism. Overall, I like it! t
  2. jbridge is another option for bridging 32 bit plug-ins. There's a demo, so you can try before you buy. I must admit though, I haven't used it on the new Cat. AmpliTube3x64 had become a problem on the old Cat, and bitbridge didn't play well with Amp3. Amp4 solved those issues. t
  3. I must agree, you've done it again Daryl; thumbs up! And I can relate. My wife has a "gift"; she asks, "how are ya", and oh boy, tmi... t
  4. I too will echo the comments above. Nicely done. The second voice, that's you as well? t
  5. Some serious introspection here I think. Great start, hope you find the time to bring it forward. t

    Hot Dog!

You never fail to deliver Freddy. I’m going to liken you to Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker; great stuff. Truly this is what Sam was looking for at Sun. Call it blues, rhythm and blues, roots rock ‘n’ roll; whatever. From the heart, the gut, it’s visceral. Well done! t
  7. What are your settings in Preferences>File>Folder Locations>Project Files and Preferences>File>Audio Data>Global Audio Folder?
  8. Had to google that one, my heart goes out to you David. Hopefully composition and performance offer some positive therapy. t
  9. Another "snapshot" of where you were creatively and technically in the 90's. Would I, should you, approach the mix differently in the 2020's? Your song, your production. Well done, I think you and your collaborator nailed it. Sorry to hear about her untimely passing. t
  10. My initial thought was "authorization problem", but if standalone is working I guess not. I had issues with Amp3, I had to Jbridge the x86 (32bit) in Sonar x64 then SPlat to get it to work. But the problem was Amp3 crashing and showing the cause as AmpliTube3.vpa64. Not your issue. Got zero help from IK and the IK forum BTW. Evidently this was a very rare issue. When I upgraded to Amp4 the problem was solved. Bear in mind I am running the Amp4 VST2 dll. If you are running the Amp3 VST3 dll, I would do as Chuck suggests, try the VST2 dll. Does Amp3 have a VST3 option, can't remember. Also, have you tried running CbB as administrator? Long shot, might work... t
  11. Yep, tried the in place on my x86 office machine back during the "official" free upgrade, almost endless churning of the hourglass; hardware issues, no dice! It is still happily running Win7x86 Pro... t
  12. “This free Win10 utility essentially takes from you your Win7 serial and in exchange gives you back, legitimately, a Win10 serial/installation, so you exchange one for the other; you won't be left with both” You sure about that? I’ll have to test that. I cloned my W7 drive, pulled the original and set it aside. I then ran the utility on the cloned drive for an “in place” W10 upgrade. Swapping drives is no big deal... course I’m on the road, so it’ll be a while till I can report back. t
  13. Oh yeah, wind in my hair, sun on my face, and I can taste that sweet salty ocean air...
  14. We’ve drifted off topic, but what the hay; we are in the coffee house! t
  15. So the artwork, this is the character Isabel Merton? Not sure I hear “slowly coming to terms with killing her estranged brother”, but not having the full context... I must say the tune stands on its own just fine, held me for the full six minutes; well done. Looking forward to more of the story. t
  16. Martin, you’ve got another good one going. A few rough edges to sort, and some good comments and avenues to pursue. I like the drums, I wouldn’t change the intro, although the cymbal hits late in the tune don’t seem to sit in the same space; that I would work on. As always wish we had the lyrics so we could follow along; in French is fine. Keep us up to date! t
  17. I agree, but, the tune carries itself, that bass line rocks! The guitars, simply great. Would I mix it differently, probably. But, this thing is a hit! The subtle secondary vocals, oh man. I don’t know why, but this thing screams Keb’ Mo’ and I don’t mean in a bad way. I mean real blues, real authentic blues. I don’t have nearly enough thumbs to rate this one. I am now officially a fan. t
  18. Never a dull moment, it’s all part of the performance. Jesse, we love ya our avant-garde brother. Keep us on toes! t
  19. Excellent use of verb and delay. Really liked when the vocal came back in dry. That little click on the left, woodblock? I think I’d leave that out. I’ll have to agree the “brass” is a little weak, but as Tom said, not a deal breaker. Overall, thumbs up! t
  20. Forum etiquette, you want others to listen and comment, you listen and comment. Thank you Starise. t
  21. Misery does love company! I couldn’t help myself, mybad. t
  22. Been there, done that; can you put a little gravy on that stuffin’ please. t since we have another Tom, and my father was prone to calling me “little t”, I think I will begin signing “t”.
  23. Oh yeah, loved me some “Low Spark” back in the day. I hear some Traffic and some Straits. Well done Paul, big “thumbs” here! tom

Definitely a little Shankar/Harrison vibe. Probably because that’s the influence we know. Must agree the “voice” is especially well integrated. All the samples are especially good. Tom
