  1. Rasure, Thanks for letting us know about the update. ?
  2. Last Call, I love having the Big Knob connected to my interface, I can connect everything to the Big Knob and from it, I can connect to everything. I have 3 sets of monitors connected to the BK (Big Knob), a media player, and a head phone amp. I have the following: Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm (Open and Closed Back) Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO 250 Ohm (Open and Closed Back) KRK KNS 8400 headphones (Closed Back)
  3. For my use, I plug then directly into the the Big Knob head phone jack on the front (two of them). For the artist, I have a Presonus HP4 headphone amp coming out of the head phone amp outputs at the rear of the Big Knob.

Sidney, Are you saving your settings for the Studio Capture and then re-importing them when this happens to you?
  5. I have never used the headphone outs on any of my audio interfaces since I got the original Mackie Big Knob. I bring my audio into the Big Knob from my interface and then distribute it to where it needs to go.

I will perform updates tonight to see if it's available to download and install, thanks ?
  7. Post here and let us know if you took advantage of the deal! ?
  8. That is correct, drives were just updated June 2022, That is what makes it such a good buy. The Focusrite control for this Gen 2 is that same as the Gen 3. The version is Focusrite Control - 3.11.0.19833.11, which includes the current drivers.
  9. It is still available from the Focusrite warehouse location, I just looked at it and then added it to my cart then went to check out and it was still there. Oh, I see there are 10 of them remaining
  10. I have to say, Studio One use of External Hardware using Pipeline XT is much, much better for a smoother workflow.
  11. Ok, I got another one for you. Straight from Focusrite warehouse, this is how I bought mine. I am not sure if this one is the same listing as the other one. Scarlett 18i20 2nd Gen
  12. Abacab, I guess you are telling me to go ahead and switch to Studio One 5? LOL ?
  13. Hey folks, I found a Scarlett 18i20 2nd Gen audio Interface brand new being sold from the Focusrite site for a steal. Click on the link to take advantage of the deal. I already have a 3rd Gen one, but for the person who needs one and doesn't want to pay full price, the price is "rite". Get it, Focus - rite,... (Nevermind) Focusrite 18i20 Gen 2
  14. These are the little quirks in Cakewalk that makes me want to move on to another DAW. However, I think about the time I spent learning how to use it which keeps me from trying something new. I don't want to take the time to learn how to become familiar with using a new DAW.
  15. Thanks Old Joad, I saw the video during setup, however, I overlooked the part about the top being for Hardware inputs setup and the bottom section being for the DAW output setup. I saw the green light highlight outputs and thought I was just setting up Outputs. I got it straightened out now. Thanks for your help ?
  16. Hello Old Joad, I've been using Cakewalk Sonar since version 2.0, I know the DAW itself and where to look and how to set it up. My 1st question was about Focus Control. Q1: Using Focusrite Control, how am I supposed to see the my stereo pairs as inputs in Cakewalk and not see the ADAT or SPDIF? Your answer to Q2 using the 2i2 is different than the 18i20, because the Talk-back mic is automatically routed to your output pair. I have 9 outputs and I don't want to use the default. I found the answer below. Answer: How to use route Talkback to a different output 1) To route the 18i20's talkback channel to an output, look at the output(s) you wish to send the talkback to and select 'Custom Mix + Talkback' (shown below). This allows you to send any of the standard 'DAW playback' and 'Hardware input' channels to the output (as you normally would with a Custom Mix) but with the addition of the talkback audio.
  17. Peter, Thanks, my version recently expired and now I don't have to WUP this one. ?
  18. Hey all, I just switched audio interfaces and purchased a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen interface I want to be able to see the audio drivers in Cakewalk as stereo pairs. My previous audio interface was a Roland Octa-Capture and I loved it as it worked well, however, it doesn't have enough I/O's. Question 1: Using Focusrite Control, how am I supposed to see the my stereo pairs as inputs in Cakewalk and not see the ADAT or SPDIF? When I go to select an input in Cakewalk, I see a whole bunch of inputs, however, I only want to see inputs 1-8 as stereo pairs. Question 2: The Talk-back Mic: I use out 3/4 to route audio to my head phone amp. I route the channels via Cakewalk sends to 3/4 out which leads to my headphone amp. can I route the talk-back mic to output 3/4 in order to speak to those listening via the headphone amp. Question 3: In addition to Pros, do you have any Cons about owning this audio Interface? *My Con is that the meters on the front only shows audio channels that are being recorded. The meters don't show playback meters or the main output volume. Thanks for letting me pick your brain. ?
  19. Jim, No sir, I love the EQ's on my WA73-EQ's they sound good. I just love the way the Warm Audio EQP-WA looks and sounds. I would love to have them in my studio dialing in the EQ. I love the Pultec type EQ's.
  20. Jim, Even the Warm Audio EQP-WA Tube Program Equalizers, say it isn't so Jim ?
  21. Alan, I don't need the 1073 as I have two Warm audio WA73-EQ's in my rack. I was thinking about turning off the pre-amps and just using the EQ section only when I want to dial in just EQ ?
  22. I got a chance to get the MC77 Purple Audio Compressor for $19.00 ?
  23. Alan, Thanks, Yes there are a lot of Compressor and Preamp clones on the market today but not that many EQ, at least for the 19 inch rack space. The 500 series rack has a lot of EQ's on the market and I was thinking about just getting a 2 slot chassis that fits in a 19 in rack space and putting a pair of 500 EQ' in the slot.
