  1. e-cue - wow, I didn't know about that one, I just checked my email and there it was. Well I've got to dust off the old vintage video recorder and capture myself opening my mic mystery box so I can get more mystery gear. 😁
  2. Hello, My find for today is the Avantone Pro CV-12 for only 299.00 From Sweetwater The CV-12 is a large diaphragm tube-based condenser mic, designed to perform like the world-famous European tube mics of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Although the Vacuum tube is virtually obsolete, it remains irreplaceable in the audio world. Avantone’s CV-12 utilizes the vacuum tube circuit and gold sputtered 32mm diaphragm to full potential. All the warmth, clarity, and richly organic sound reproduction capabilities of Avantone’s CV-12 stands as tall or taller as contemporary favorites, or priceless vintage relics for mere dimes on the dollar. A vocal booth with the unmistakable Cabernet CV-12 is a place any artist can enter with confidence and pride, but the CV-12 can accomplish so much more. With 9 polar patterns to choose from, a-10db pad, and high pass filter, the CK-12 excels on strings, grand piano, drum overhead, and general-purpose open room mic.

  8. No more Waves!! I can't do it Larry, I just can't do it.😭
  9. Oh how I wish I had summing equipment, the best I can do is Waves NLS
  10. There has to be a purchase in order to add it to the group buy, and you will only get products that are equal to your purchased product, but none higher, however, any priced lower will qualify.
  11. I have been looking for console emulations plugins for a while but I didn't want to be tied to Waves WUP renewal by using NLS. I found Sonimus, A plugin Console emulation plugin company that ha several console emulation plugins and other plugins as well. First let me say, I have NO affiliation with this company at all the company is https://sonimus.com/ Their Console emulation plugins https://sonimus.com/product-category/console-emulations
  12. Sorry Mettelus, I forgot to mention that I only do mixing , I don't play guitar, and I stare at my bass most of the time while I'm mixing. Thanks however. 👍
  13. Hey All, I have Ozone 9 and I think I only used it once or twice, easy pass for me as well. As a matter of fact, I was just searching my computer for the version of Ozone I have and an .exe for Ozone Imager 9 came up, heck I never finished installing all of Ozone. LOL 😁
  14. John, I love your videos man, I've learned so much from watching your channel over the years.
  15. Well I don't have over 1000 plugins but I do have a hand full of some excellent plugins and a rack full of good hardware to use along side of those plugins Make great use of the External Insert feature, plug something in and process it.
  16. Folks, It's been a little quiet around here lately, are there any new affordable hardware processors worth buying for mixing music? Let's hear about what you've seen or heard of that's out or coming out soon.
  17. Hey, The other day, I got the pick 2 bundle for $49.99 (Avalon VT-737 Tube Channel Strip & Manley VOXBOX Channel Strip), that was a great buy. Oh my goodness, that Avalon VT-737 Tube Channel Strip is AWESOME. (click the two Avalon icons at the end of the plugin) 👍
  18. I loved those movies :
  19. Thank Husker, I need to do the physical subscription again. I like turning the actual pages, although the digital experience is a great substitute, I like the feel of turning pages and drooling all over them when I see nice gear I can't afford. 😁
  20. I bought that plugin over 10 years ago and I still have it, but updated. It's a great plugin and I think I will get the most recent updated version and start using it again. Thank for the reminder Kricho 👍
  21. I guess they don't have a life Wookie.
  22. IK has already sold or issued the sale of their license to distributors, so the distributors have to sell off what licenses they have to get their money regardless if IK is still selling it or not.
  23. Never herd of AZ studio, you should have provided a link for the desk you were interested in getting. OK, found it ~> AZ Studio over priced. If what I make off recording ad mixing can't pay for what I buy, then it's too much. And that is too much!! Check out the RAB Line up >> RAB Audio ProRak LS840 Studio Workstation - Almond Trim Other RAB items > RAB I like the look of natural wood I love their racks > Sound town (Especially the Bamboo ones) Wookie, I have no affiliation with any of these manufactures or websites. 😁
  24. If in the final mix you hear the piano and it's minimal on the vocal track, it passes. When recording live, you will always get bleed when several people are in the room with instruments, technically you should have muted the monitors and just used closed back headphones, but you didn't . Just accept the minimal bleed in on the vocal track and mix it the best you can, since you have a piano in the mix no one will notice and if you aren't getting paid for you song, just learn from your experience and wear headphone and mute the monitors next time. Good Luck with future recordings 👍
