IK has already sold or issued the sale of their license to distributors, so the distributors have to sell off what licenses they have to get their money regardless if IK is still selling it or not.

If in the final mix you hear the piano and it's minimal on the vocal track, it passes. When recording live, you will always get bleed when several people are in the room with instruments, technically you should have muted the monitors and just used closed back headphones, but you didn't . Just accept the minimal bleed in on the vocal track and mix it the best you can, since you have a piano in the mix no one will notice and if you aren't getting paid for you song, just learn from your experience and wear headphone and mute the monitors next time. It's about balancing and leveling before you begin to reach for a plugin. Once you level and balance you mix, it will begin to sound like a good. I had to explain to him that I have no affiliation with Plugin Boutique whatsoever. Hello all, There is something I am ashamed of, I had IK multimedia Mix Box for years and used it occasionally here and there. However, I never knew it could connect the Stand Alone version of Mix Box to my Audio Interface and allow it to be used just as external 500 series effects rack . I came across a YouTube video of a mixer using Mix Box as a standalone processor connected to his travel home studio. There were no processors just his laptop and his Audio I/O. I couldn't find the video again, but I was able to find a similar video, the tutorial isn't even on IK's YouTube's website about using Mix Box tis way. How many of you were aware that Mix Box could be used this way?? 😠 I was looking into getting a 500 Series Rack, and slowly begin getting some 500 processors, but forget that nonsense!!, MIX Box will Suffice via my Audio Interface. I have an Audient EVO SP8 connected to my Focusrite Scarlett 4th Gen via ADAT, but Mix Box won't connect to the EVO SP8 through the Focusrite Scarlett, it only sees the Focusrite Scarlett as the audio Interface, which it is the main Interface. I guess I will have to move some of my current hardware to the Audient EVO SP8 and use it via ADAT like some of the other processors. That move will free up some I/O on the Focusrite Scarlett to route Mix Box to the I/O's . I used to use the Mackie Big Knob, but yes the noise got to me after a while also. Then I switched to the PreSonus Monitor Station 2 and wow that helped a lot. The other thing I changed was where was the electrical current was coming from. I pulled it from the wall outlet and places it into a Radial Power-2 Power Conditioner.

Hello All, I have been running a hybrid studio for sometime now and I love using Hardware with my DAW and on my mix bus. I have been interested in getting into using 500 series processors but I've been hesitant for a while. Well, I just saw and tested a Wave Distribution WD500 - 2-slot 500 Series Rack. and I must say it's is DA BOMB!!!! It fits into a singe 19" rack space the rear of the unit is not hideous like the most of the 500 series racks and its [pleasing to look at. Plus the price is right. $279.00 As an alternate, the Fredenstein Bento 2 2-slot 500 Series Chassis is a good choice as well for the same price of $279.00 enjoy!!
