  1. Thanks everyone. I love Steve Hillage's guitar work, so that's an amazing comparison for me ?
  2. Should be subtitled "Groove on a G for 5 minutes", this is a new track that's going to be on a forthcoming album "Dusty Starbursts and Luminous Quasars". https://www.bandlab.com/xoospacemusic/lumineferous-aether-db6c4981?revId=e6a27fae-2932-ed11-b494-000d3a3ee5f3 It's the first track I've played bass guitar on for a few years, so I may have over-egged it a bit in the Rickenbacker department.
  3. I've got one of these too - very nice for everything I throw at it, although it's not the greatest if you want to use the GPU for rendering in, say, Vegas. It can do some offload, but it's not really noticeable. It's a definite step up in performance from my previous (GT700 ?- I can't remember ) - Cakewalk track redraws etc are much smoother now, which surprised me.
  4. I think it should be: - Dark when collapsed and only one take lane (implicit existence) - Light when expandwd - Shaded in some way when collapsed and more than one take lane
  5. I got it a few months back and like it too - I'm not a Moog expert by any means, but it does what it needs to do. The morphing functionality is pretty neat too when you get your head round it.

    Celestial

Longer please! That was really nice to listen to late at night.

    Bug.

Some DirectX effects do behave weirdly with interleave (the old Project 5 ones really fall over badly in some cases).
  8. Ctrl-Windows-S launches the speech recognition wizard, so my guess is a sticky key on the keyboard.
  9. I tried the various "free" ones that came with SONAR over the years (Guitar Rig, ReValver) and never got anything I liked, so I stuck with my aging POD Pro. Then I found the Blue Cat Free Amp and got some sounds I liked a bit, but not too much, and Nomad Factory Rock Amp Legeds, but I still wasn't really happy, so wasn't actually playing much guitar. Then I tried something that @Lord Tim suggested in a thread on the forum somewhere/somewhen and started to like the "free" TH3 that came with SPlat (IIRC), so I updated to TH-U and I'm really finding I can get the kind of sounds I want now (most of the time anyway) - I do combine it with Valhalla's Shimmer Reverb for what is becoming my "go to" lead sound.
  10. Windows Forms standard - & indicates the next key is a shortcut key and underlines.

    Modular Maqsum

Reminds me of this Which apart from making me feel very old as I was at the gig, is no bad thing in my book at all.
  12. I assume an auto-correct typo ?
  13. That looks UNC - I don't have a network to try that on (easily) but my guess is it's related to that, and that you can't browse over a UNC path. That said, the folders CbB uses are per user, so it should be possible to set that up to the user's home directory (batch script if necessary on logon), so that is a base location rather than the local projects folder.
  14. If it's live, just set the input filter on both tracks to the same MIDI source (MIDI channel filtering available if necessary) and enable input monitoring on both tracks.
  15. Is the folder/drive they're in compressed (NTFS compression) by any chance? That can unexpectedly affect some things in Cakewalk loading.
  16. But the existence of an ASIO driver is stored in the registry, even if the device/driver is disabled in Device Manager.
  17. I have no idea if this works, but can you set time signature to 1/4?
