Fair enough - I'm a bit of a sucker for the same colours on the buttons (like you, I feel it can make it busy).
-
Why not keep blue highlighting? To me, the line through (good idea!) is good enough - maybe make it more obvious though?
-
I wrote a song once called "As easy as..." where I just recited pi over an ambient backing. No-one got the joke.

Do you have any FX on the clip? I *think* that that can trigger the interlave change. UPDATE: Not that I can repro anyway. Clip pan envelope doesn't do this either. So I get the same results as @bitflipper

No audio unless whole project in solo

Hidden bus/track being solo'd? -
Tick "Show Mono Outputs" on your third screenshot?

Thanks - I did wonder about the bottom end, and have cut quite a bit already (24dB high pass at about 170Hz) and boosted the top a bit, but as I said to Mark above, I'm not sure if I've posted that version yet. The drum tracks are something of a pain to work with - they were recorded at a god-awful studio by a god-awful engineer years ago, and there is more spill than at a baby's tea party. I might try using something like a PulTech emulator to emphasise it without doing too much damage to the rest of the drums.

High Rise.vstpreset Thanks Mark - I'm always wary of over-cooking the guitar and making it *too* prominent. I've tweaked a little since then and scooped out some mid from the synths to hopefully sit the guitar a little better without making it too dominant (not sure I've uploaded that version though!). I've attached the preset for the (VST3) version of TH3: it's the "freebie" version that came with one of the last SONARs (I've since upgraded to TH-U - Overloud get a big thumbs up from me for helping me upgrade years after SONAR became defunct...great support!).

@Wookiee It's from a 1979 album, so a little after your time with them! I've actually dialled back the reverb a bit on my latest mix of it so I'm with you on that - I'll probably redo it a few more times before I'm happy.

Excellent!
-
Is it a .vst3 file or a .dll? If the latter, I think it needs to not be in a VST3 folder/subfolder but in the vstplugins path.

I've YT'd it with a video: https://youtu.be/nDZRxiDMIIg

When someone posts a deal, could they state whether the product needs an iLok dongle or account so that I, and probably others, don't go down a rabbit hole only to find the product does and it's a non-starter?

"Not Enough Memory " Message When Connect Graphite M25
Xoo replied to Kishan Nadarajah's topic in Instruments & Effects
I know this has come up before but can't recall the solution, but do check you're using the right "driver mode" for MIDI: MME will work with pretty much everything (apart from Bluetooth MIDI?) so should be the default to use (UWP is the alternative). -
And updated with louder/clearer guitar (I cut some more bass from it).

Very nice - we've got a lot of space-influenced tunage going on in this forum at the moment. And I like it.

Thanks.

I had a case like that too. Many years ago, when I lived in an allegedly nice town (UK), I had my garage burgled and my amp and guitar rack stolen. I reported it to the police, got the insurance to cover it - pretty good actually. Then a few months later, I was playing a gig and the support band (bunch of teenagers) showed up, and their guitarist had...my stolen gear. I checked it out (there was a memory fault on the rack unit, so one memory slot glitched, and I checked it did on his too). He soon had a visit from the local police - he was not involved in the theft, but did have an idea the goods may have been somewhat likewarm, shall we say, and I think it put the willies up him.

Many years ago, when I was a wee nipper(!), I played in a Hawkwind tribute band. One of the songs we played was High Rise (based on J G Ballard's book). I recently decided I'd re-work it, taking the backing we recorded as the tribute band, and putting some guitar solo over it (I've pretty much not picked up my guitar for a couple of years - lockdowns, small child, work... - so wanted to get back into playing with a song I know really well, and I needed to start using some guitar amp sims as I don't have room any more for my guitar rack!). I'm aiming for a Dave Gilmour-esque feel using TH3 (just updated to TH-U but I haven't used it in anger yet). It's very much a work in progress at the moment - the solo was a one-take improvisation, and I know there's at least one duff note in there, with a minimal amount of topping and tailing in CbB. I plan to re-record when I have some more time, but I'm after any feedback around style, feel etc at the moment. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qe5ehml81bm5fqw/High Rise (Instrumental).mp3?dl=1 TIA

4. A**-hole punters (like the one who tried to walk off with my guitar while we were packing up)?
-
Good call. Although lock up the gun cabinet first.
-
Good luck - I *hate* recruiting new band members at the best of times (especially drummers!).
-
AMD does - fTPM. Seems to work on my B450 Gigabyte board (as in, it turns on, Windows detects it, but since I'm not using a UEFI boot for a variety of reasons, Windows can't actually make use of it).
-
I reinstalled all my packs and they appear to be re-licensed, but the content scan is taking its usual eternity to run - anyone else see this?
-
It appears to have trashed most of my licenses, so I'd be wary.
