  1. You can fudge it in the browser, but only one level deep.
  2. Here's another way to work on this. 1 - Open the tempo track 2 - Right click drag to select all the nodes 3 - Ctrl-X to cut them 4 - Play the piece with no tempo map 5 - When done, move the cursor to the start of the project then Ctrl-V You could also cut just a selection and paste to a new project, then copy and paste back, for example.
  3. Must not buy rig libraries, must not buy rig libraries... ?
  4. Glad you persevered and are happy ?
  5. There's not necessarily routing with a VCA - so your 3 tracks controlled by the VCA could all have different outputs, but their relative levels are controlled by the VCA channel/slider/envelope. I've previously suggested what @Base 57 has, which feels like the "Cakewalk" way of doing this to me. As an aside, these two requests are so far down my list as to be insignificant. I mainly want to see a "hybrid audio engine" (cf. Reaper, Logic, Samplitude, Cubase - all have something similar that improves performance on non "live" tracks) to bring CbB's performance up to match theirs. And support for more control surfaces "natively" (ie. not via ACT or the excellent AZCtrl, but with Cakewalk working with the hardware manufacturers to integrate the devices). Note: neither of these actually benefit me as I don't max out my CPU and don't use a control surface - I just think these are the key missing features that means CbB can get overlooked.
  6. The last time you had preferences open, was it on Keyboard Shortcuts? If so, that does seem to make it take ages to open the next time (within the same session that is).
  7. Many years ago, I was on a (civil service) management training course. In a proposal exercise, I managed to get away with "Agency for Rural and Social Enterprise". And when no-one spotted it, I even extended it to the "(Home Office Liaison Executive)". Now I just come up with acronyms for real IT systems that I don't really like and that sadly stick ?
  8. Shame it doesn't use the Windows menu font though (as per previously) which is a much clearer font.
  9. That last para may not apply to CbB as changes have been made to its MIDI buffering - I haven't tested though.
  10. You might also want to try this one: https://viramor.com/csmulticompander-midifx/
  11. 1 - Select tracks 2 - Hold down control 3 - Change track output or add send to new or existing aux track, patch point or bus. I don't consider this much different from BitWig's approach or speed.
  12. You don't get in app notifications for EA releases.

    That's pretty epic!
  14. @Wookiee Funny, I've been remixing a tad and have done pretty much the exact reverse ! This isn't a science ? Glad you enjoyed though.
  15. I'd recently read that this was the case - I *loathe* subtitles. Thankfully mine doesn't want them on ?
  16. And what's wrong with birds in space, eh? ? Thanks for the comments and glad you like it.
  17. And take a minimalist approach to the control bar and float it - that alone takes up more space than any of the yellow (which are often present for menus, tools, scrollbars or spacing so there is distinction between different areas). Not that I wouldn't like somethings smaller (like track widgets), but I don't feel the yellow areas are eating too much space.
  18. Wot, no ? Seroiusly, another nice one - your space tuneage is reminding me a lot of Interstellar Chaos (http://harvey.strange-trips.com/reviews.htm)
  19. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cxpdy60wmj86fhp/Chandresakar's Limit.mp3?dl=0 All one take and no edits or real mixing done, so there are some bad notes in there (I'll redo sometime soon) - so any comments gratefully received before I do a proper mix. Drums - BFD 3 Synths - Vital, Surge, Korg MS-20, Korg M1, u-he Triple Cheese, M-Tron Pro Guitar amp - Overloud TH-U (+ Valhalla Shimmer reverb for the lead part) For background https://mathshistory.st-andrews.ac.uk/Biographies/Chandrasekhar/ And YT video now available:
  20. Maybe we're talking at cross purposes, but the "filters" you've applied are your custom menu "filters".
  21. (2) This is the part that doesn't make sense - how do you apply them? You've already applied filters (your custom ones).
